I shop on line using their app and get direct to boot at my local Woolies. They had all their Christmas food range under one section of the app and I could check out the prices ingredients etc on the app. I did go in store one day to look for something in their Christmas range and I couldn't find it. They had it in stock I just couldn't find it. I ended up ordering it in my next on line order and got it. Using the app saves me a lot of time and i know how much my total spend will be. I can add or delete items before hitting the pay button. I can also see all the specials, half price etc. The catalogue only shows you a fraction of the specials.
“The Checkout knows”, you gotta be kidding. Can’t tell you how many times their pricing computers get it wrong and charge you incorrectly at checkout and have to go back. Always, Always check the screen and see what’s been charged as you scan if using self check out.
At the 4 min part the duck and the chorizo sausages are the plant based products made to look like meat. that is why it said meat free, not mystery meat there is no meat at all just additive numbers. Not sure why the vegetarian people would want there plant based meal to look and supposedly taste like meat.
i dont get that either, why disguise plants as meat, we dont make meat look like plants, i want a steak to taste like steak and my beans to taste like beans
Most expensive way to shop, graze shopping. If you're retired you should be purchasing in bulk and packaging yourself and into the freezer. Buy fruit, vegetables and meat at a co-op or farm gate and just a hint if you have to but at Woolworths do your biggest shop at the end of the month and receive 10% off.
I think you must pay for "rewards extra" for the extra 10% off. And not everyone has co-op or farmgate. In or near city maybe. Also not all retired people have large freezer capacity or power certainty, particularly In rural areas to be able to buy in bulk and batch package
Omg! 40 degrees it’s 4 below zero here in Scotland. Lots of ice and snow here just now. I couldn’t get my car door opened this morning as it was frozen shut . Anyway keep the vlogs coming as I look forward to them x
If you work at Woolworths you should be speaking up to your management daily. As a customer I complain every time I shop there. There is no Coles in my area and I complain at ALDI.
If I'm mistaken looks like you guys were shopping at the Lavi woolies me when it comes to shopping i go Arnolds for fruit meat and veg then go to Aldi, then get specials from Coles and Woolworths don't show loyalty you won't be rewarded always have a rough idea of what value things are and compare it to hours worked or how much weight etc. you get from it.
I hate Woolies, my daughter dropped me at a Woolies store on Christmas Eve as she needed to go somewhere close to there. It took me 2 hours to find the things I needed and twice as much at the register. I usually watch what I buy and cos I’m on my own the most I spend is around $100 at Aldi unless I’ve run out of things occasionally it costs a little more but I ended up spending $300 at Woolies and I never even found all I wanted. I told her to never, ever take me to Woolies ever again, it’s a horrible store IMO anyway. It may be cos I never shop there cos I don’t have one where I live, I only have Aldi, Woolies and a Foodworks which to be honest I’ve never gone into but was thinking of having a look in there to just see how much things are. I don’t particularly like any sausages but I’m at my son’s home and his wife bought some from Coles, whether it was because I haven’t really had any for a long time or they were exceptionally nice snags but I really enjoyed them they tasted really nice. It could be also that someone else cooked them too cos I always think food tastes better when someone else is cooking. When I go home I’ll buy some from Coles and just see if I like them as much. TFS your shopping trips Frank, I always love your videos. Looking forward to your next one.
woolies in nz is too expensive to shop at, and i see australia is not that much better, the only time i go there, is if they have something i cant buy at paknsave,
Unlike others I don't buy a crazy amount of food at Xmas and am then forced to throw it out. I then restock my fridge after the New Year and that will take us thru the month of january. nothing is thrown out or wasted.
on ya franky. Please try Watties tomato sauce. It is available in the NZ or International section at Woolies or Coles (usually). It is an NZ sauce and mate you won't look back after trying it.
use to be a watties man, then during the covid fiasco the only tomato sauce left was tuimato, never touched watties again, everyone who comes around and trys it gets converted too, tuis is a south island brewery and beer is listed as one of the ingredients
Startling crazy how much these places charge for most things i mean those two air fry packs at the beginning for ten bucks a pack is just ridiculous and its more like something kids or teenagers would ask parents for as a snack long gone are the day's of 45-55 cent sunny boys that's for sure..... Thanks for the vid again Frank
Those air fry packs we part of the same problem , they were supposed to be 2 for 10 but you couldn't tell. It was a store wide sale , but the prices were all over the place.😅

Stopped shopping there years ago way too pricey! Aldi is much cheaper!

Sending warm vibes🥵🥵🥵
Oh that's a nifty shopping bag! The store ones here are disappointing.
They need to put price scanners throughout the shop so that prices can be checked when they don’t have a price listed.
@@RiverDanube i think they have that option via the Woolworths app but I've always thought having scanners around the store would be a great idea
Don’t give them grubs your money mate
I have a Woolies right across the road from me, but I'd rather walk the 5 minutes to Aldi......mind you, 20 snags for 10 bucks had me sold! 😂

you must be real fun at parties
Did you have a radio career mate? You have a voice for talkback radio.
yes 30 years ago
@ 🙀🙀🙀
I love Woollies! They got everything what I want.
$11 for 26 sausages in Woolworths
Yeah , we know that now. But at the time of shooting It was all over the shop.
@frankmckay8766
Yes I figured that. They need to be more clear about the pricing.

I believe the controlling interest in Woolworths is Vanguard. That would explain a lot.
Unlike others I don't buy a crazy amount of food at Xmas and am then forced to throw it out. I then restock my fridge after the New Year and that will take us thru the month of january. nothing is thrown out or wasted.
Those 'BBQ' bulk packs have got to be the lowest in terms of quality. Coles has them too, same price but oddly with 24 in a pack.
just go to a bulk butcher and get ur moneys worth mate
