Servicing a 1970s Magnavox 300 am/fm stereo receiver. part 3/3 - Pilot lamp & tuner alignment

replacing the pilot lamp and tuner tweaks. Looks like this one will turn out just fine. They really should have provided a better means of displaying power. I mean, its just a tiny red dot!

Well done Jordan, i wonder how many years it's been duff.
I found it odd that the transformers were so far away from peak, maybe the resonant capacitors have drifted, or a phantom tweeker has been in there lol.

Very nice! Love a good quality Magnetbox receiver. Second only to Sorny, and maybe Panaphonics. But, if you really like to listen to your receiver, I mean really listen to your receiver, you want a Carnivale! (old Simpons routine) Not sure why this reminded me of that old Simpsons episode, but it did. Very nice, enjoying your vids muchly!

Thank you for teaching us some techniques to maybe try to repair our own systems , im learning as much as I can about all things for retro stereo’s I’ve started collecting good ones an old ones that have issues so I’ll be checking out many of ya vids , thanks man

Alot of people turn their noses up at Magnavox but they didn't take alot of the shortcuts the other companies did
