I want to take a few minutes to Thank You for doing these videos. After owning an RV Class C Jayco Grayhawk for 4 years, I knew nothing about my coach,, I now have a better understanding on how things work.
    Thank You!!!

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. We’ve recently started renovations on an 86 Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite XL. You’ve helped so much! Thank you! I would love to see a video on the multi meter usage , that would be great!

There is another alternative . Lots of times it's a liquid spill and can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol or electric motor/ contact cleaner. I've gotten lucky and just sprayed or emerged the entire switch till it dripped out of the internals, working the switch while still wet, let dry and good as new. Don't use carburetor cleaner or anything more aggressive or you might melt or deface the the switch. Also be careful drying it with a rag, rubbing might remove any writing like on,off, burner ect.
On occasion, I've gone as far as prying the switch apart, cleaned than reassemble it. Gotta have patience for that, but if it's a special switch, it could be worth your time.

Good day! Thank you for your videos. They are tons of info for a diyer.
Do you know why my onan 4000 wont prime when holding stop button? Otherwise it runs fine no prob. Just wont prime. Can you also suggest oil to use with it? Its an old 1990 Genset 4000. Thanks so much ❤️

Just found this Channel searching breakaway cable info.
I have a pacific Coachworks Northland 30RKS and it is the biggest POS but it's mine and I wish I could have you go through it front to back and make it what it should have been when I bought it.
My first RV - the parts are medium quality but the build quality and fit and finish is terrible.

Nice upgrade! Do you have a video on upgrading the tank sensors? I’m tired of having to push a button and see 1/3, 2/3 or full… not very helpful! Thanks!

off topic yes... couldn't find any post that addresses this... I tried to find RV works' newest post in hopes of suggestions... my shore power and my generator power both test 122 volts at the breaker panel (on all circuits) on the ground bus, but on the neutral bus - all circuits - show 9 volts and then it drops. Some guesses is all I ask. 95 Bounder 34J with 30 amp system. It was hotter than hell one day and I had never tried to run the AC on a 20 amp shore power source before. By accident I left the air conditioner on and noticed when it came on, it ran fine. It was so hot, I ran it for days without a problem. Then I spaced out turning it off before I ran the vacuum cleaner. It tripped only the shore power source breaker. When I checked the Rv breaker panel it was hot to the touch. But none of the breakers were tripped. I reset them anyway and never got shore power back. The generator running gets the same result, no alternating current. I replaced the shore power cord''s male end plug. I checked all the neutral bus and ground bus connections, all tight.

Hello, I have a question. If my batteries are fully charged and then I shut off my converter,, after I start my 19 amp generator will that sort any circuits in my RV or just not charge my batteries only? The reason why I ask this is because I want to turn off my converter and then start my 19amp generator to start my 13.5k AC unit which takes 15 amps to start and then runs on 13 amps. Will that work?? After that could I then turn on my converter seeing my batteries are full or still leave off the converter and then monitor my battery usage. Thanks, Brent.

So you are saying those new switches are available? My 04 Newmar has the new style you show. The aqua hot burner light does not illuminate but the burner works. I will check wire connections for light on switch and see if it is the easy fix before a new switch is ordered. Thanks for video!

The light could've burnt out too, that happens

Love your videos Darin I’m a diy guy but have always found 12 voltage confusing. Any videos on replacing 12 volt battery with 6 volts I want to upgrade

    • @MyRVWorks
      @MyRVWorks  3 роки тому

I will certainly add it to the list! Thanks for watching.
Bottom line on the battery though is to take the two 6V and connect one '+' to the other '-' so you create 12V between the opposite '+' & '-' lugs. This is called series wiring. Same thing you do in a flashlight battery.

Tbh if it were me I would've used a white permanent marker to mark the + and - just for future references. But either way great work!

No one seems to know how to fix this problem . I have a 2015 Thor Windsport 27K Calss A, with an Onan QG 4000 generator. On shore power , my AC works fine. On Generator , everything works, ( microwave ,etc.) except the AC. The fan on the AC works, but the AC is not working, Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if a soft-start installed in your air conditioner might fix the issue. Here is a link with a discount to the product: www.microair.net/discount/MYRVWORKS?redirect=%2Fproducts%2Feasystart-364-3-ton-single-phase-soft-starter-for-air-conditioners%3Fvariant%3D30176048267

@@MyRVWorks I have the micro air easy start installed already. Someone else has suggested either the run or start capacitors.
