Jesus..putting the flywheel nut on with plyers??? They need to be torqued to 60 lbs at least...can't remember for sure but..... That flywheel will spin and not only cut the key off but most likely ruin the end of the crank.
You don't by chance have the exact numbers for that carb do you? Someone replace mine with the non-adjustable type and it hunts like yours. The carb i have is brand new but has no adjustment for high and low speed and has the extra nipple for the breather hose.

My coleman powermate with the 10hp Briggs and Stratton bogs down if I plug in anything big.
