BEST song with Adrian so far. Zebrahead needs more songs with LP vibes. I find Adrian and Ali's voices a bit similar and I think it would be interesting to see Ali bringing a more similar tone to this song on the next album and with this an innovative vibe to the band.
Glad you’re liking it so far, and for anyone that doesn’t it’s all good, I understand, but we definitely wanted to grow as a band and stretch our musical talents and challenge ourselves to write songs we felt matched our lives these past two years, I’m proud to be a part of such a hard working and talented band that can literally do any genre! It sounds great but it reminds me too much to Linkin Park. It doesn't sound like Zebrahead to me. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be listening to these new songs. It's only that they are too different from what I expect when I think the name Zebrahead.
Zebrahead is one of those rare bands, that have something truly special, to them, that touches your soul.
Truly great lyrics! As the band gets older they get more serious and that's not a bad thing.

Honestly this style suits more this new Adrian ZB era than a more punk-rock vibe from Matty era. I wasnt feeling it so far, but this one is kinda good.

i used to listen to zebrahead when i was at college (around 07/08) and been listening to a playlist for some nostalgia tunes, and boy its one hell of a tonal shift to go from playmate of the year to this song. not complaing just very differnt but still loving it

It makes sense because both bands were formed on the same year, and they were influenced by the same music they grew up. I started listening to both bands in 2007 when I was 14. Half of my life.
@@HPTFan With all due respect, if two bands coexist for 20 years and never show such overt similarity, it's not just their own personal influences. This song sounds like a ZH spin on "Numb" (not just Linkin Park more broadly) and that's totally fine. ZH's had songs explicitly influenced by other bands (see Broadcast to the World) and implicitly genre influenced (see Brain Invaders). Those spins on a familiar sound have worked really well. It's part of what makes them great. Trying it again with a new singer was a wise move.

@@dogemcmoon9644 Well, if you take this one song, then yes, it's not the typical Zebrahead sound. But take into account what else we've heard from chapter 3 (they should really name the album like that!) So far: Lay me to rest is a ZH song out of the book, Dan is really putting on a show there. And Long way down doesn't sound like ZH much but you can't accuse them of copying some other style either.
I'm curious what others will say here, I don't think it'll be perceived as a bad thing, them sounding like LP.
Also there's not just "copying" in this world but also giving tribute. ;-)
@@dogemcmoon9644 You could say that about every new album Zebrahead put out. When PoTY came out, that sounded nothing like Waste of Mind, the funk was lost. When MFZB came out, that was nothing like PoTY. You can go on and on. At one point everything new Zebrahead has tried was new, whether that was Funk beats, Pop Punk, Metal Elements, Ska elements. This Nu Metal style is just yet another new thing they're trying out. Zebrahead has always been a blend of genres and they've always been constantly adding to their repertoire.
@@dogemcmoon9644 I'm not sure what "lost zebrahead sound" means. They have one song that is Nu Metal like and sounds like LP. I don't see the issue with the band wanting to try something new for 1 song out of their 25 year career or how that's "not them". But I'm not here to convince you otherwise, I just don't understand your argument. I think the past 3 songs have shown great diversity. LMTR sounds like something from Brain Invaders, A Long Way Down is a great Pop Punk track, and Out of Time is something new and fresh.
