- this is a short clip about a timing belt was change but people skip to replace the water pump. my step dad has this car from april. i did replace the gearbox and thermostat when we bought it and timing was plan to change next summer. but car did get there.
Great video, very informative and helpful.
It's disappointing because this virtually never happened with the mk4 Mondeo. They've downgraded their parts quality.
I agree with you. For some reason the production of these pumps is a bit poor quality.
The head gasket should be OK. The car would go into limp home mode if it got very hot.
I had the same issue same car 2016 galaxy
Good video. this is exactly what happened to an acquaintance of mine.
Typical, very common issue. I have a kuga with the same engine and it failed exactly in the same way at 58k miles
Yeah they not reliable for some reason. 🤔
that was an awesome video Sir, very informative and straight to the point. So very helpful of you to do this. I have the same model of ford mondeo and same colour and same year and having issues with error saying " ENGINE COOLANT OVERTEMPERATURE" and the temp gauge goes into red after about 30 mins driving and then car goes into a limp mode state loss of power to protect the engine and both radiator fans kick in even after i stop the car with keys out ignition. i have it booked into the garage next wednesday but i suspect it is the water pump so i may as well have the whole lot done timing belt etc. thankyou again for the great video it was very helpful. Best wishes to you and your family from Manchester England
You know when you say water should come out the pipe when the engine is started, is that even when the engines cold?
Dose both pipes have to have water coming out
One of them does. ☺️
