Seeing lots of comments correcting me about NTW being in the first movie. I worded that weird. I meant that she wasn't a [main character] in the first one. I was referring to my line before. It was a response to one review I read about NTW and Yukio not being important to the plot. NTW wasn't very important to the plot in the first one. Apologies!
CinemaWins Excellent work as always good sir. Here’s hoping the next superhero movie you do is Incredibles 2! But I get you have a full docket. Keep up the great work 👍
CinemaWins i love this channel, I was wondering if you could do the movie “ponyo” its an anime but a movie, its apart of my childhood and it does everything right, if you don’t want to i dont mind.
Also you forgot that juggernaut saying “ I’m gunna shove the cab driver up your ass” and then “ I’m a put you up the old guy” is a reference to Hancock
you forgot to add when they fought at the orphanage at some points the music was saying "holy shit balls" and "its the fucking juggernaut" in a choir like song
My husband rarely laughs out loud, let alone loses his shit laughing that continues into minutes upon minutes of giggling, but that fucking song did it.
@@MegaKat Why wouldn't it do it? Just the thought of assembling an orchestra and a choir only for them to say "Holy shitballs, it's the fucking Juggernaut, you can't stop this motherfucker" is hilarious
Fun fact: Deadpool's altruism towards the kid is totally in character. He's always had a soft spot for kids. Killing, traumatizing, or otherwise harming children has always been the one line Deadpool refuses to cross. Once he even delayed an assassination contract for a mall Santa because there were too many kids around, and they'd be traumatized by the kill. When Bullseye sniped the Santa, Deadpool immediately ushered the kids out and tried to keep them from finding out "Santa" was dead.
Didn't Deadpool have a super horrible childhood himself, like drunk dad/abuse parents? That would explain why he has such a soft spot for kids like Russell. He doesn't want their childhood to fuck them up like his did
@Noblesse Obligee okay but in the way he used her as bait, he was confident she wouldn't die. He sacrificed so much for that kid, and he's a fuck up, but his intention was always her wellbeing. Cmon.
I have to say, I love how they handled Domino's powers in this film, because they track pretty much 100% with the comics. Basically, Domino can subconsciously manipulate probability in her favor. But it's an _active_ ability, meaning it only takes effect if she takes action. So if someone were shooting at her and she stood still, she'd die. But if she moved, she'd miraculously dodge every single bullet. It's an absolutely awesome power and they 100% did it justice in this film.
See I kinda wish they would’ve explained that a little more in the movie as for me all I saw was things happening seemingly at random and Domino benefitting from those events but not really being in control of any of it. Don’t get me wrong I quite enjoyed her character but your explanation makes me like her even more. Essentially turning every moment from “oh oopsie lucky accident” to more purposeful and controlled luck
When I first saw this, I was so convinced it was going to end with the gunshot to the chest being just a flesh wound because he regenerated his heart in the wrong part of his chest cavity and Vanessa's repeated "Your heart's not in the right place" warning was just completely literal.
His relationship with Vanessa in this film was earned in the first film. When she dies, it hurts. Their love is goofy and ridiculous and weird and kinky and pure and we all wish we had that. So the moment at the end is just full of every emotion. I was definitely not expecting that from the 1st film, and REALLY not from the 2nd. I was happy they did it. Such good, not lazy, writing. Also, Ryan Reynolds is to Wade as Robert Downey Jr is to Stark. They literally ARE their characters.
The "Directed by: One of the guys who killed the dog in John Wick." deserved at least 1 or more win. David Leitch directed Deadpool 2 and also co-directed John Wick which makes it so funny being true and breaking the 4th wall.
i like how both cable and deadpool basically make their world reflect themselves. when cable's around, it's dark and serious and gritty. when deadpool's around, everything's just a joke. when they're together, these worlds collide, and we get the mood whiplashes.
“I mean he was hopelessly in love with death for a while, but also spider-man.” That is until Marvel decided main universe spider-man was going to be a pubescent child. And damn, original spidey and Deadpool were a great power couple. And yes I realize I’m two years late.
I feel that, honestly. I understand why Peter was younger, in a way, but it kind of sucks that we pretty much always see Peter Parker as a teenager. I mean, he's always been on the younger side for his origin stories, and he's getting older as the timeline progresses from what I can telll.... But Peter B. Parker in the Spiderverse movie was a really fun look at the character a little more out of his prime.
@@graysonrogers-barnes6302 I'm really in love with Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield being older, part of the MCU, along with Deadpool, and all the right parts lining up. I am not sure how Disney would deal with it, nor the younger Spider-Man fans that have been brought on-board, but I am so up for the possibility.
@@Youchubeswindon to be fair both tobey and andrew's peter parkers were high school age in their movies. Like Andrew was pretty much playing a 17-18 year old (Tobey's version obviously a bit older but that's only by the end of his trilogy where... I guess he finished his degree? idk I don't remember Spider-Man 3 that well)
It also makes sense that she would end up being friends with wade as well. She obviously is drawn to foulmouthed jerks with hearts of gold. NTW and wade are quite similar. so it makes sense she would get on well with both of them.
The X Men cameo scene may just be the funniest thing I've ever watched. I couldn't stop laughing for a good 5 minutes, and fair play to McAvoy and the others that came back just for that. Brilliant
My thought on Deadpool's altruism in this film, coming form all I've seen from Deadpool, he's actually pretty true in the movies to Deadpool's sense of morality in other media. He's always (at least as far as I've seen) had a soft spot for kids and he spends a good chunk of his own stories 'trying' to be a good guy. He doesn't ever make it, but it's usually due to things like what they showcase in the first movie and the fact that he is selfish in most of his motivations. He has a daughter in the comics and is only ever shown as a loving father, so I think his protection of Flame Fist is pretty on point for his character. There are a lot of small moments across his media too that show him to actually be pretty considerate to others even though he's still NOT a 'Hero'. Things like lifting his mask whenever he's around Hawkeye so that Clint can read his lips, even though Wade HATES showing his face. The time he helped Spidey get rid of a villain while dressed as Spidey, but made sure to tell Peter he'd take off the mask first so that everyone would know it wasn't Spiderman that did the deed. Refusing to look at Spidey's face when he's out cold because he knows Spiderman is protective of his identity and that it would be a line crossed. Just small things. Deadpool does plenty of awful stuff, something he's very aware of, but he still has his own sense of morality and it often involves taking the bad image or 'evil deeds' onto himself so that others don't have to. It's one of the reasons I love him as a character, because he's not one-note like some people think, and he's actually a complex character when you take a look at him. That's why I think these movies work so well. anyway, I love your videos!
Wade puts the ANTI and HERO in antihero. He is a genuinely good guy who is so f*cked up his morality is a roulette wheel but he still has his core as a broken emotionally wall breaker we all love
@@bigpigeon2384I don't know much about Hawkeye, but I remember something about him having cancer, and becoming hard-of-hearing. So Deadpool is being really considerate around him, lifting up his mask so Hawkeye can read his lips.
I mean it's annoying when people say that stuff before the video even starts but it really helps out a lot of channels because emost people literally forget to do it.

@@amariboxill9033 I'm pretty certain it is. Community references seem to spring up all over. 'Spiderman into the Spiderverse' has Troy waking up in his Spiderman pajamas shown on a TV in Uncle Aaron's apartment. Troy's actor, Donald Glover, played Aaron in Spiderman Homecoming 😁
The NTW/yukio relationship was done properly...as stated it wasnt OVEREXAGGERATED...it was treated just as casually as any relationship should be treated "hey this is my gf yukio." That's it it was done the way that it should always be done
@Tom H Not only did they get "representation", but they also turned it into a joke about SJW reactions. "What in the fuck-knuckles is this?" "She's my girlfriend you intolerant prick!" Like she assumed it was the fact she was a Lesbian he took issue with without even letting him express his opinion. They made the same SJW joke about 3-4 times throughout the movie. Cable tries to shoot DP but he pushes the gun away and Cable accidentally shoots a guy called Black Tom, after this DP calls him a racist son of a bitch. For the rest of the movie DP consistently calls Cable a racist. An example is when they're driving to the Orphanage with Dopinder and DP says "Why not say it in an Indian accent?" and Cable says "Why would I-" before DP cuts him off and immediately says "Once again with the racial intolerance". Cable has done absolutely nothing to imply he has any type of racial prejudice but he gets relentlessly attacked by DP for being a racist and you can't help but think that it's because he's white.
@Tom H I completely loved the way that their relationship was handled here but I just gotta say: you realize that conservatives don't get uncomfortable about LGBT people right? We really don't care. You live your life, and we'll live ours. That's literally what conservatives are all about. Making sure that people can live their life in peace so long as they don't obstruct anyone else from living theirs. We just want people to be treated with dignity, and not like they're a quota to be filled. Here's a tip: if you want to find bigots, look for the people that feel the need to announce the fact that they filled out a minority group checklist in order to show how "progressive" and "tolerant" they are.
@Tom H Wow, you're seriously just an ideological spigot, built to defend that which you value. Dude, you're off your rocker if you think that conservatives/Republicans are trying to establish themselves as elite/aristocratic. I described what conservatism is today, just like if I describe what liberalism is today it wouldn't have anything to do with what we now call classical liberalism. What is described is what people who are conservative in 2019 believe in. And it's really something that most people who are conservative have believed in for a long time, at least in the US. It was conservative thinkers who wanted true equality for everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other distinction. It's democrats/liberal minded people who tried to stymie that at every opportunity. It isn't u til the modern age that this stopped and their new policy, which consisted of making those same groups which they saw as beneath them actually depend on them, started. Democrats/liberals wanted to keep racism and segregation alive in this country! This is not debatable, it's the truth. And only recently have they decided to pretend they care by trying to keep minorities on the leash of government control and dependency so that they need to rely on government, the elites, and those that "know better than them". Wow you're so deep in the hole that I'm sure none of this will actually get through to you, but I hope it does. I hop you start to ask yourself who's really racist and bigoted, the conservative that believes in everyone getting the shot to succeed or fail by their own merit, or the liberal that wants to keep everyone shackled and coddled because they don't think those people can fend for themselves.
@Tom H And a reply with no substance is no less than I expected from you. The sad thing is, I fully believe you've been on this earth for more than 40 years. It's just sad to see such a waste of potential wisdom. All you've got to show for your time here is a lot of unasked questions. Have a nice day.
The other thing that was accurately portrayed is that one of the girls in question made a bigger deal out of it than the person she was accusing of "intolerance", who had said literally nothing about the nature of the relationship.
What I liked about "Hi Yukio" was just how Yukio was also genuinely nice to Wade. Something about that pure friendliness between those two without any ulterior undertones works for me (though I may be a bit biased since in my book, pretty girl's smile is always a win).
I need to bring this up because I so rarely see reviewers mention it: The opening is pretty much DIRECTLY OMAGING Bond openings. The style, the cuts, the spoiling of the entire movie through symbolism while someone sings in the background--have so few of you seen bond openings? They're iconic. It's clearly mimicking it for a laugh.
totally correct, it's a dead clear Bond reference throughout, and it works so well! Even coming down to the swords spiral-closing in on Deadpool to mimic the Bond barrel closure
That's because its a callback to the sequence when he's going to kill the Japanese dude. He says "Donde esta la biblioteca, which literally translates to.....I don't bargain, pumpkin fucker".
I agree entirely. It's not about going "LOOK AT US WE HAVE A GAY COUPLE WE'RE SO PROGRESSIVE", it really is about normalising it, as you said, because it should be and is normal.
Venessa and Wade are for real, couple goals lol. They really are a beautiful couple and you do feel the hurt for Wade when he can’t save her. Honestly, they choke me up, those two! 😥
Yeah, as a guy who has been single for like 7 years I turn to comedies to brighten my days up.. and this comedy reminds me that even Deadpool found true love lmao. Damn you deadpoooool! 🤣
I gotta say I fully agree with your feelings on the “afterlife” scene. And it hit me even harder the first time because after that one trailer where Wade and Weasel were talking about the movie and they said something about there not being a third movie. So when he said “I’m dying in this one,” I was concerned it was actually a possibility. So, seeing Vanessa pull Deadpool through the wall and turn back into healthy Wade, I thought it was really the end and I was really watching a character I loved pass into the afterlife to be with the woman he loved. The humor and lack of a 4th wall for the movie spends hours disarming us, and then it hits us with a sharpened cream cheese spreader to the guts. In your RoS video you talk about why you make your videos: every movie is someone’s favorite. This really really might be mine.
Deadpool 2's emotional scenes actually hit really hard. I remember being emotional about his "dying" thing but then he kept talking, and I was internally like "Wade please stop joking, you're literally dying and you're still so lovable and annoying-"
The Yukio gag throughout the movie was one of my favorite parts; sure, she didn't really add much to the plot but I loved seeing DP get under NTW's skin. I'm pretty sure that was 100% of the point.
I think the extended edition scene where Wade says "Where is the library?" in Spanish is much better than the normal one where he says "Hello superpowers." Extended edition just has that Deadpool touch.
DUUUUDE hell yeah! Never actually seen iron giant (mostly cause I hate crying and I already know imma ugly cry for that one) but prince of Egypt I feel like gets such bad side eye because it's a bible story! Like guys, guys! Trust me, it's not told like a bible story at all, it's a very human story! But nope, people don't listen unless they've already seen it
@@QuestionableLifeChoices Actually, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the first 14 chapters of the book or Exodus (with some creative and artistic liberties). Also, if you haven't seen The Iron Giant, you really should. I would consider it a masterpiece.
@@stonetimekeeper I'd say that Prince of Egypt is both. They really focus on making both Moses and Ramses people, with human flaws and wants and insecurities. Exodus does that a little for Moses, but does almost nothing for Pharaoh, except that he's a little too easily swayed by his high priests. Prince of Egypt gets into the meat of their relationship in a way that say, The Ten Commandments refused to (but then the Ten Commandments really only had Moses in name only which I blame on Heston only really having one persona, and introduced that stupid sideplot romance.)
20:30 So something for you to know is that deadpool in the comics loves kids, he loves protecting them and keeping them from major trouble. When apocalypse became a child because comics, deadpool was the one of the only ones on the kids side saying kid apocalypse didn't need to become the monster adult apocalypse was. So it's super in character for him to want to find russels salvation.
You know the win you gave for Christopher Plumber? In the headline before it, there's a warning about high winds, like in the other scenes you showed. This movie is soo full of nifty little details!
The Yukio gay thing was definitely the best representation. Thank you C-wins for acknowledging this. It isn't shoved down your throat, it's just there.
That said, I would totally watch a spinoff movie featuring the two of them. It would go in line with his fourth-wall break comment about the team needing to be young enough to keep the franchise going another 10-12 years. Call it "The Young Mutants" or whatever and assemble a small team. Could easily be PG-13 again.
I do agree in thinking that the best way to represent is to make it just normal, like it is in the real world, as opposed to adding an LGBT+ side character to your story and forcing it down people's throats that your film is blessed because it contains the "first LGBT+ character in " just for that character to be completely inconsequential to the story. Also, a character is not just gonna rock up in a Superhero film and go "Yeah, I'm gay" and have that be their entire character, they might talk about their partner, correct someone on their identity or their partner might be in the story but they still should be their own character and story. When a character is straight or cis-gender that's not all their character is, so why should it be any different when a character is LGBT+?
@@patocall8146 I don't think it was forced in Endgame. That character was never outed as the token representation of the franchise. As in, they did it by referring to him having a husband and focusing on his grief which is one of the better ways to do it. If it was forced it would have been really patronising and somewhat unrealistic, as if trying to act woke but the way they integrated it was fairly good, the only downfall being that it was just a side character
Pat Ocall Goes to show how much you know, because that scene in Endgame where all the ladies team up is actually a subtle reference to them honouring the death of black widow.
I've seen some people say that Cable was a little *too* serious compared to the comics, but it felt nice to have him as a serious dude in the movie. But also, as a big fan of Deadpool, I think his helping is pretty in character. One thing he's always cared about is kids.
Lee, I agree with every Win except one that you *didn't* give... The Holy Shitballs operatic score is just excellent and needed a Win. I put that as my ringtone for my oncologist... I thought it appropriate.
actually when said the "where is the library" in Spanish to the sex trafficker it was because it was the only Spanish he knew and HE translated literally it to "I don't bargain" because he could even though it was wrong. Later in the prison fight when he said it again the movie officially translated to "i don't bargain" as a gag because to deadpool those are what the words mean.
It's also a reference to the movie Dodgeball where the villain White goes to Peter LaFleur's hotel room to BARGAIN. Right before White offers LaFleur money to back out of the competition (exactly the same way that gangster tries to pay Deadpool off to just 'walk away'), he's sitting in the dark practicing Spanish and when Peter enters White super-randomly says "donde esta la bibliotecha." So having that seemingly random Spanish phrase linked to that totally incorrect translation of "I don't bargain" totally makes sense if you've seen/remember that scene from Dodgeball where they're totally connected.
I'm going to try to address your question about how selfless Deadpool is in this movie compared to the comics. Deadpool in the comics starts off evil. He holds Blind Al hostage, and has broken her spirit by psychological torture. Weasel's life is in danger when he found Deadpool's safehouse where he keeps Al. He enjoys killing. He gets a redemption arc though, when he falls for Banshee's daughter (can't remember her name), and realizes that he's a bad guy and tries to change for her. Situation arises similar to the end of the first Deadpool movie, except the doctor who performed on him in the Weapon X project is normal, and he tells her to leave because he's going to be busy for a few hours, and he realizes that he's going to enjoy it. She leaves him, but after that, he tries to change not to fit into her world, but he wants to become a better human being. He fails a lot, but he tries and that's why I enjoy the comic Deadpool. He's a horrible human being that realizes that he's horrible, but is trying to change. They changed him from the comics where he's not evil. He's a good person in his core compared to the comic where he's evil at his core. So him saying that he doesn't want to be the hero constantly while being the hero is an inversion to the comic, and it fits the movie Deadpool. As to your comment about inclusion with NTW and Yukio, I think you nailed it. Inclusion is about making it the new norm, and their relationship and presentation is wonderful in this movie. It's there, but not something that needs to be focused on.
That kid sure is a naruto fan. Even doing that same gesture like sasuke, he even did that gesture of burning the wall like sasuke did with chidori in naruto season1 🤣👌
Ok but what I love about Deadpool movies is the fact that they have so many references and jokes about something related to Canada because Ryan Reynolds himself is Canadian. They have a Canadian singer singing the opening credits in DP2 for crying out loud! I just love the sense of humor that they have, making a Canadian actor make fun of Canada because that’s exactly what Deadpool would do
I hope you know that I really appreciate what you do for your audience which is us. These videos really bring a lot of joy to me and I hope others! It’s just a good feeling to have a different channel than cinemasins!
I stopped watching cinemasins because I don't need more depression and negativism in my life. All the more I am grateful for this channel for trying to look for the good stuff in movies. I am always looking forward to seeing new video pop up.
I feel like cinemasins don't do research and don't even know how films are made let alone nitpick about things and show they don't actually understand what the right thing is. Theres many reasons why cinemawins is better than cinemasins
I'm about to 1 up film theory here on this one. I'm about to prove that DP isn't nearly as dumb as he wants us to think he is. The movie makes an effort to show us that everyone knew that the winds would be strong, both before the skydive and after. When we get to the scene where DP is taking applications for X-Force he seems very unimpressed by everyone's powers and he sees no reason not to believe they are real because he doesn't think that they are what he needs, so he isn't at all shocked when he hears about them, and just hires them because he can. But when he gets to Domino, she reveals that her superpower is luck, and that everything turns out her way, Deep down DP is surprised by this and expresses it through disbelief, saying that it's not a super power. He marks everyone that applied for X-Force for who he has the most faith in. He puts a knife on the pictures of people who he doesn't believe are up to the challenge. You might be thinking "What challenge?", and we'll get to that soon. He has faith that Domino has a chance for survival and doesn't mark her for death with a knife. Now we get to the skydiving scene. Despite knowing how dangerous the sky is because of the winds he takes the X-Force on a mission, and this is because it's a test, he wants to know who will be the most useful in the fight against Thanos. Now you may be thinking "Wait what? Where do I even start to question this theory?" And don't worry, I'll explain. The scene turns out the way DP had expected, he only acted surprised to hide his plan. The skydive scene was a test to see if he was right about who had the best chance for survival, and who's powers were the most applicable in different scenarios, acidic vomit is not useful in a skydive, and neither is being invisible, or distorting electrical fields, but if you're lucky enough you may just be able to stick the landing. DP had expected all of the team to die, which is why he stuck a knife on each of their pictures, but in Domino's case, he believed she would survive, and she did. This is because DP is more composed and calculating and forward thinking, you see, the Avengers plan on taking down Thanos, but they are fueled too much by emotions like hatred, anger, loss and guilt. DP wants to take down Thanos, but he has a PLAN. You may think that Josh Brolin acting both Thanos and Cable is just a coincidence, but no. Let's not forget that in the first DP movie, the final battle takes place on top of one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'S crashed Helicarriers, which is Marvel showing us that the two universes are linked. Russel Collins A.K.A Firefist has been shown to be extremely powerful and hard to beat (never mind DP just throwing a sword at him and knocking him out). Cable reveals he's from the future, but he makes up a fake past and says he's saving his wife and child but in reality, it's Thanos from the final battle in Endgame, and Firefist is the only one strong enough to kill him. This is Thanos's attempt at preventing his defeat in Endgame by travelling back in time and creating a false identity in order to kill Firefist, hence why he seems so happy to see him in the Prison. DP sees through Thanos's plan which is why he tries to build a team to stop him on the convoy. Firefist alone isn't enough to beat Thanos, they need a better team, which is why DP was happy to enlist Domino because she had the best chance of rescuing Firefist and aiding in the battle against Thanos. DP2 is a film about battling Thanos and stopping him from rewriting Endgame. TL;DR I got way to fucking invested in this.
It’s not just you, buddy. It’s just beautiful that Vanessa sends him back to his family, especially after the, “is this heaven?” “It is now,” lines. She literally gives up heaven to do what’s best for the man she loves and his family. Add in he leaves for them when the entire movie was spent struggling to get to the woman he loves, and just wow! Gets me every time!
I honestly expect Vanessa to be Lady Death in the next movie. And even just watching the few seconds from Wade's an Vanessa's last meeting (before the credit scenes) got me choked up. Also, I'm not really well versed in Deadpool comics, but if I'm not mistaken, he's actually a very good-hearted character.
They didn't brag the relationship between NTW and Yukio because I don't think they wanted that to be the main focal point of the movie and they didn't want to politicize it the whole movie so overtly, which in my opinion is great. They wanted to make a good movie (which they succeeded in doing) without muddying it up with all the politics that the right and the left love to throw around nowadays. I really appreciate the fact that they included them there because I really enjoyed the greetings between her and Wade. I think it's really cute.
Even if they did make a bigger deal, it shouldn't be considered "political" that we exist. NTW and Yukio exist, just like we do -- only they do all the hero stuff.
@@kevinfox298 well from what I understood was Brianna Hildebrand actually said if they were going to have there be a relationship in the movie she didn't want it to be made a big deal of probably because she knew it would become political, in the age of diversity for the sake of diversity I think she understood that as the first openly gay couple in a superhero movie if they made a big deal about it, it could affect the reception of the movie. Look at what happened with watch_dogs 2 and how all the gaming journos said they got so many things wrong about race, simply because there were a few people from various backgrounds but it was very ambiguous. There is a vocal minority who want it shoved to the forefront even if the overall narrative suffers and that's why I have such a deep amount of respect and admiration for the way Hildebrand wanted it handled it made them feel more real.
Exactly. The movie isn't a NTW and Yukio film. It's a Deadpool film. (Although I would like a film with NTW and Yukio pretty please) And yes, the two's relationship is just as normal as a hetero one. We don't all gawk and freak out when we see a man and a woman together.
The fact that they're even depicting a lesbian couple is politicized. There's a reason the Right wants anything like that censored, while the Left is cool with this kind of representation. So, hey, it's good that you can still like something the Right calls SJW.
@@kevinfox298 CinemaWins said it perfectly. The story was not about them, and they were gay, and they existed in the world. (and they fit the story) It was handled perfectly. It becomes "political" (or maybe just bad taste) when the issue is forced and there has to be some huge life lesson about being gay and that being ok. I'm not gay, I don't care if people are or are not gay. I am not looking for a gay life lesson when i watch a move. I want to be entertained. People have a right to be gay. They have a right to be gay and be in movies. They even have the right to be obnoxious about it in moves. It is just that the last statement i made, when you make a huge deal about it. It does not accomplish what you want it to. They did it perfectly, and it fit into the story.
A comment on Shatterstars "superhero form" in the skydiving scene - he said "I'm better than you at everything" when they were hiring him, so while everybody else is plain belly flying, he's sit-flying which, for many skydivers, is really hard to master
Probably also an extra layer of reference because Rob Liefeld, Shatterstar's creator, loved to draw Shatterstar in poses like that... couldn't seem to draw the guy just standing still.
@oƃƃə he is better at dying, since Deadpool couldn't do that either. Plus living is not something you can do better than someone. You live or you don't. Dying is something you can actually work for to achieve.
This theory exists for centuries. Even I thought of it myself before reading about it. It's just something that, if you think about it, makes a lot of sense.
why should it even be addressed as a theory, it's quite rational on the same level as feeling thirsty when your body requires water. It's just so basic. Every single act we do in life is to feel good in one way or another now or in the future. And that's fine. If someone does something completely selfless then they wouldn't have a personality, they would just be an act of nature with no conscience, like water flowing down a stream. Doesn't care if it benefits anything or anyone, it just reacts.
It’s such a small thing, but I love the prison fight scene. Wade thinks that Cable is after him but the shock on his face when Cable says "hello russel". My favorite part.
Fun fact! The director for Deadpool 2 also directed both John Wick movies and is currently working on the third one you know what that means... We need a EGA John Wick people!
Not quite. Chad Stahelski and David Leitch directed John Wick. Stahelski stayed with the Wick franchise to direct the second and third movies, but Leitch left after the first one and ended up directing DP2. He wasn't involved with the second John Wick movie, and neither is he working on the third.

Holy shit thank you for saying that about NTW/Yukio and LGBT+ representation. Feels like too many things nowadays try to include LGBT+ characters with that as their defining trait and make it a huge deal and while I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily a bad thing normalizing it like any other couple is also an impactful statement imo in showing that love in all its forms is something acceptable and that can be achieved. These videos always give me a positive feeling and interesting things to discuss with friends so thank you so much for your work.
Exactly. They're totally mismatched as a couple, but their gay-ness isn't the issue. The "WTF is she doing with her" aspect isn't related to their sexual identity.

Seeing lots of comments correcting me about NTW being in the first movie. I worded that weird. I meant that she wasn't a [main character] in the first one. I was referring to my line before.
He doesn't want their childhood to fuck them up like his did
soft spot for kids? sounds like every mercenary ever.
Same w Punisher. Don't mess with kids or women around them!

It's an absolutely awesome power and they 100% did it justice in this film.
bro I see you in every marvel comment section
and your pfp stands out particularly cause of the aroace flag
Yeah they also made it properly work with how her luck causes others to be unlucky

Yukio was just the cutest. The “Hi Yukio” gag was my third favourite thing about this movie.
It also makes sense that she would end up being friends with wade as well. She obviously is drawn to foulmouthed jerks with hearts of gold. NTW and wade are quite similar. so it makes sense she would get on well with both of them.
Also, in the news it says “Abnormally High winds in downtown today”
The movie really kept up with everything.

@Tom H Not only did they get "representation", but they also turned it into a joke about SJW reactions.
"What in the fuck-knuckles is this?"
"She's my girlfriend you intolerant prick!"
Like she assumed it was the fact she was a Lesbian he took issue with without even letting him express his opinion.

Also, a character is not just gonna rock up in a Superhero film and go "Yeah, I'm gay" and have that be their entire character, they might talk about their partner, correct someone on their identity or their partner might be in the story but they still should be their own character and story. When a character is straight or cis-gender that's not all their character is, so why should it be any different when a character is LGBT+?

man, cable just sounds like he wants to balance the universe, tbh
I've seen some people say that Cable was a little *too* serious compared to the comics, but it felt nice to have him as a serious dude in the movie. But also, as a big fan of Deadpool, I think his helping is pretty in character. One thing he's always cared about is kids.
Lee, I agree with every Win except one that you *didn't* give... The Holy Shitballs operatic score is just excellent and needed a Win. I put that as my ringtone for my oncologist... I thought it appropriate.
jaspr1999 I agree! He was probably like me and didn’t even notice it at first lol
@Lodogg 3323 yes he did, he didn't say it, but there was a ding with it on screen
I was going to write that myself!(without the oncologist part. I don't even know what that is, some kind of doctor i'm guessing)
@@davidurbach7882 an oncologist is a cancer specialist
I was waiting for that too
In the extended the subtitles say "I don't bargain" but he actually says "where is the library?"
That's a continuation of a joke from the first film.
That's a running gag from the beginning of the movie. Possibly the extended version, I don't know, I only saw the extended.
actually when said the "where is the library" in Spanish to the sex trafficker it was because it was the only Spanish he knew and HE translated literally it to "I don't bargain" because he could even though it was wrong.
Later in the prison fight when he said it again the movie officially translated to "i don't bargain" as a gag because to deadpool those are what the words mean.
It's also a reference to the movie Dodgeball where the villain White goes to Peter LaFleur's hotel room to BARGAIN. Right before White offers LaFleur money to back out of the competition (exactly the same way that gangster tries to pay Deadpool off to just 'walk away'), he's sitting in the dark practicing Spanish and when Peter enters White super-randomly says "donde esta la bibliotecha." So having that seemingly random Spanish phrase linked to that totally incorrect translation of "I don't bargain" totally makes sense if you've seen/remember that scene from Dodgeball where they're totally connected.
for the fight with Juggernaut and Colossus when he headbutts Colossus there's a dent in his forehead, super detail
I love how Ryan asks Cable if Dopinder finds love. It really shows that, despite his very vulgar nature, truly cares for his friends.

Ok but what I love about Deadpool movies is the fact that they have so many references and jokes about something related to Canada because Ryan Reynolds himself is Canadian. They have a Canadian singer singing the opening credits in DP2 for crying out loud! I just love the sense of humor that they have, making a Canadian actor make fun of Canada because that’s exactly what Deadpool would do
Deadpool is also canonically Canadian

all members of the x-force get knives except domino. The only one no to die. FORESHADOWING.

As a fan of Deadpool: he really is sweet deep down. He's just... misguided.
(Although I would like a film with NTW and Yukio pretty please)
And yes, the two's relationship is just as normal as a hetero one.
"im gonna rip you in half now" honesty.
The selfless act theory is phoebe’s theory
actually its joeys ;)
This theory exists for centuries. Even I thought of it myself before reading about it. It's just something that, if you think about it, makes a lot of sense.
why should it even be addressed as a theory, it's quite rational on the same level as feeling thirsty when your body requires water. It's just so basic. Every single act we do in life is to feel good in one way or another now or in the future. And that's fine. If someone does something completely selfless then they wouldn't have a personality, they would just be an act of nature with no conscience, like water flowing down a stream. Doesn't care if it benefits anything or anyone, it just reacts.
@@utaschn Damm it, i have failed Friends :(
Possibly something that obsesses some gurus (the subconscious, non expectant form of the act)
Wade's selflessness isn't out of character. His kinder moments do come from when he fixates on other characters. He also likes kids.
