It’s so true! A person’s religious practices are so personal. I honestly just think that people are nosey and need to worry about their own relationships. Just because you aren’t broadcasting it for the world to see, doesn’t mean your relationship is lacking lol
Exactlyyy! And its not a good thing to show off how religious you are bcuz then it doesnt seem genuine anymore and at the end of the day everything shud be done for the sake of God since we have to please Him and not people. Islam is all about privacy and modesty so some people dont understand that u r not supposed to show off and be open about literally everything cuz privacy is key and sacred in Islam and some things shud be kept private for ones own safety and peace
People act like being religious is a competition like who is more religious than who and who prays more than who haha its so childish and a waste of time. Life is only a competition with ourselves. We r all too unique to be compared with one another. Everyone has their own path and purpose in life which cannot be compared, it just cant haha

I waited about three years until my husband and I had our first daughter. She’s about 3 months older than Alaina. I wanted to finish school and work in my career for at least 2 years. I’m 25 now. There is absolutely no rush, you go at your own pace. 🥰

Asalamalakum Sister Amanda, Im very happy to hear that you pray 5 times a day, a gift from ALLAH ( SWT ) which many muslims unfortunately do not avail of and are not blessed with. There are so many hadith on the rewards of praying 5 times a day in this world and the hereafter. It is indeed a protection for us and a way which ALLAH ( SWT) gives us guidance which we all need. I wanted to shed some light on what you mentioned about religion being a personal matter. In my understanding of Islam, we have a duty to mankind and not just ourselves. It is our duty to convey the message but not force. ALLAH ( SWT ) says in the Quran:
"0 Muslims! there must be a group among you who would invite people to Good; and would command them to do good deeds, and would prevent them from forbidden things; and these are the people who will attain salvation.*' (Surah Aaliimraan: 105)
May ALLAH ( SWT) bless you and your marriage and grant everyone increased understanding of Quran and Hadith as ALLAH ( SWT) has commanded all of us. Take care and sending you many prayers and well wishes.

For me, I rather wait till there is a date for the wedding to see the dresses. I asked my children that question which culture they fit more they said the American culture. Since we did not have many Arabs around us it would make sense. However, now he is more aware of the Palestinian culture than before. But he relates more to the American culture. I am not on Instagram and I took almost 2 weeks of youtube. You and your sisters are my top 4 that I like to watch. Could get addictive. Looking forward to more cooking with Baba.
