Enjoyed your review! I headed over to Lifeway and it's still on sale for $20 so I was able to get one. I'm not doing a challenge, but I had set a 90-day deadline for myself for reading the entire bible. God has been faithful in answering my prayer for a fresh desire for His word. I'm reading everyday, and really enjoying it. This time is so different from times past when I would wake up from my bible hitting me in the head because I fell asleep. 😄 Thanks again for the review and the heads up on the price!
Looks really nice. I’ll definitely have to look into getting one for myself. I also agree with the 6 by 9 format being very appealing. I have a number of other books in the 6 by 9 format and they just work. I don’t know what it is about it but it just works.
Holman has been *slow* with rolling out the 2020 update. Half of the CSBs on the shelf at my Barnes & Nobile are the 2017 text. And it's been three years!
For $20, That's a fantastic Bible, the generous margins makes it look more classy! It seems like Holman is trying to clear stock to promote the 2020 edition.
That's a very nice, plain looking bible. I like it because from the outside it's just a brown book, and no one would knoe what you were reading because the text looks like a regular novel etc. So, if one wanted to read in a public place and read in peace, this would work well. I really like single column and have an LSB and KJV and NKJV in this format. I haven't read CSB before, though, and am not in America, but even now at $30 it's a great bible!
Good review! How are you finding these great deals? Are you just checking out their site each month or are you signed up for a sales newsletter? It's $40 right now and I really would have loved to have picked this up for $20.
Yes, usually I check the site at the beginning of the month just to see what they have. There is an excellent group on facebook called EVERYTHING BIBLES!!! that posts a lot of these great deals when they come up.
I have enjoyed both the review and the discussion for the review! This video also proves that new Bible reviews garner way more views than used Bibles. Which saddens me, because new Bibles don't have that much personality.
$20 is a great deal. That's 10% the price of the Goatskin LSB bible and possibly even better. I'm not against the LSB, but I think it's more hype than anything. How accurate can a bible be that uses Yahweh instead of YHWH? Also, in the NT, Jesus said to call YHWH "heavenly Father". I haven't used the CSB yet, but it's getting very good reviews because it's very easy to read and accurate.
It looks like they produced one years ago, but they were discontinued. Amazon has a few left under this ISBN: 9780805489606. If you are looking for a nicer-quality version, I might suggest the Paragraph Bible by Local Church Bible Publishers, item #: 435E1B. This is a beautiful edition with decent paper and an excellent cover for around $65.
It's a battle for me. I don't like unjustified edges, but I don't like when the spacing gets all crazy between words and letters when the line tries to fit too much or too little.
Holman discontinued their KJV Paragraph Bible. If you're looking for something similar, this would be the best I could offer at a decent price: ua-cam.com/video/by_ZKDd8Guk/v-deo.html Cambridge also has the Clarion, which I believe is a paragraph KJV.
If you are looking for a single-column reader in KJV, the absolute best I can recommend is the Paragraph Bible by Local Church Bible Publishers. It's a lovely edition. Cambridge does a similar version, but I would not consider it a true KJV because there were some edits done to it. Here is the one from LCBP: localchurchbiblepublishers.com/bibles/bibles/mid-size/435e1b-paragraph-bible/
Ha ha! No, it wasn't done intentionally. They do look similar. Mine is just a backwards R and a B for Rusty Bibles. Sometimes I worry that it might look to similar to a rune, and that might be off-putting to some.

I wonder how much of that is old text blocks they are using up?

It's 20 bucks again, I just bought two last night.

Well, my channel, she is still young. Hopefully they'll catch on after a while, but as long as someone out there enjoys them, I'll keep making them!
@@RustyBibles Yep, we will watch! Keep at it!

Is Holman planning to publish KJV Reader's Bible?

Looks good except that I really hate unjustified jagged right margins for the prose sections.

Does it still make it obvious when it’s quoting OT scripture in the NT by making it bold and stand alone ?
Yes, it does. Watch around the 7 minute mark and you'll see me flipping through some sections that show it.
@@RustyBiblesok I see that now, thank you brother !
That is impressive for a $20 Bible, very nice!
Love it !!
Does it come in The King James? That would be the only one we use.

I posted a review of that KJV Paragraph Bible if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/by_ZKDd8Guk/v-deo.html
Your logo is way to close to Sergio and Rhoda. It’s the only reason I saw your video. Was that purposely done.

this is on amazon for 54.00
