Tons of positive spirit, thank you!
👏👏👏👏👏 Absolutely amazing!! I already subscribed to follow your videos!!
🎉 🎉🎉🎉
Way to go just putting it out there, Christine. I enjoyed your performance. It's inspiring to watch your progress!
@2:57 -- Yes! :)
Love that moment! Congratulations!
That was really good. Well done. 👏 👏 👏
Hi Christine, I missed this when it came out. Really fantastic. Nice to see how well you’ve done!
You sound fantastic! (Playing and singing) your videos inspired me to start learning piano. I'm using Simply Piano and taking a monthly lesson to help with things I may struggle with.
Keep it up and keep the videos coming.
Well done, Christine! This is fantastic!
You did amazing, well done!
Well done, when you finished the song I applauded 👏
Thanks Iván!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Christine! I LOVE that song!
What a different, but fun, channel you have; travel tips on one hand, and sharing your personal piano odyssey on the other. Good job on Fever, and lovely voice. :) You should join (or start) a band if you haven't already, as that ups a person's musical game considerably. Thank you for posting.
wow awesome
It's pretty impressive. Went out to buy a synthesizer last week and started my experiment using Pianote ... two days in and playing with hands together is tough, even the simple C scale.
Oh well done Christine I just loved the flourish at the end and the happiness in your face. Your joy shines through..........so when can we expect the album?! :)
Haha... oh dear... at this rate in about 20 years :-D
Great stuff Christine. Fantastic performance! I’ve just started playing and am really appreciating how hard it is. You are quite an inspiration I can tell you! I thought your point at the end about having to play for the audience, or camera, was super interesting. I think it focuses the mind on making sure you can play all the way through without mistakes. Kids get quite a lot of opportunities to perform while their learning, but adults like us not so much. Videoing yourself manages to replicate the live performance element of playing somewhat i think. Hope you keep up the great videos. Looking forward to the next one.
Very true about kids having more opportunities to perform. My church actually does a couple of concerts a year - once I'm feeling a little more comfortable, I will start forcing myself to perform in those so I can get some real life experience!
If you look for music festivals in your area, often there are adult categories where you can enter and get your performance adjudicated. I have entered voice categories for 19 and over for musical theatre, art song, aria, folk song and spirituals. The local Lions Club music festival has categories for less than 18 months of instruction, so those new to their instruments can be grouped together, and adjudicated accordingly.
I also use apps to learn and improve my piano skills. It didn't work with a teacher unfortunately. Apps are a genuine and neat way to learn properly. I see that you enjoy your progress and this is the point. I also made the same experience with some songs which I spent a lot of time for. It's a great feeling to be able to play them finally. You can be proud of yourself. Keep hard working and your dream will come true. 👍🏼
Thanks Isa!
That was VERY good. One suggestion, record the piano part then practice the vocals with it so you can focus on the vocals more until you are really comfortable with the inflection and style. Then do it all live again. Well done!!!!
Thanks for the feedback! The app actually plays the piano part for you (I just turned it off to perform), so I did practice just the singing part along with the app. I think with another couple of weeks of practice I could have improved more, but at some point you just have to go for it... maybe I'll do it again in the future for a comparison :-D
You have a great voice. Would like to hear you sing acapella
Great singing 👏👏👏👏👏
BRAVO!!!
This is amazIng!! You've got to post more covers!
You’re so brave!!! Great job!
👏👏👏👏👏
Keep up the good work!!!
Wonderful!
Wow you sound good as a single singer 👩🎤
awesome!
I'm feeling proud of you right now!...having followed you for 2 years --
Way to go girl!
extremely impressive Christine! very very well done. Playing the piano is hard enough, but singing on top of that adds an additional layer
As we say in spain...Ole!!
GREAT job Christine! I've seen few of your videos, very inspiring! I've been playing for about 8 weeks using simply piano, the struggle is real. Hope to get to your level someday :)
That was very impressive. I'm just getting started... the journey begins.
Bravo Christine, it is very inspiring to see and hear how fast you learned to play the piano all by self education. I suppose that you already could sing before you started to play the piano. I also like the background music at Tomplay. It's a nice accomplyment.
Thanks Maurice, and yes I've been singing in choruses/choirs since I was a kid. I'm not exactly a soloist but I have fun doing it!
Great job! How did you stay motivated to keep going on just one song? I always get bored and start to skip to other songs.
Love what you do
Yes! It gets really old playing the SAME melody over and over and over for months. lol. But I have to say that once I figured out the song, I didn't mind hearing it so much. I think having the goal in mind of playing it for my youtube audience helped me stay motivated... And now that I see what I can do with enough repetition and focus, hopefully it won't be quite as boring in the future (and you get faster at learning new songs as you go!).
Bravo !!! That was brilliant and exhilarating to watch and listen to 😀 To go for such a classic signature tune was very courageous and you pulled it off in fine fashion I have been learning the keyboard for just over 12 months and wouldn't dare be as bold as you are , following your progress is of much interest and the little tips and hints you give are really helpful - Well Done ! 🤗🤗🤗😎
WORLD PREMIERE ! LOVE IT 😀🤗🤗🤗😎
Thank you Nick!
