With MSI I was using 125/1165 OC... So I tried the auto and my 4090 tuned to 165mhz for core, and like you said only 200mhz for memory... So I just went back to MSI and upped my core from 125 to 165, but stuck with my 1165mhz boost for memory. It's been stable so far for a few weeks.
I have an MSI too and i have a problem:
Every time I restart my laptop I have to re-activate the automatic tuning? it is always activated, but it is not overclocked when I use it the next day, I have to wait for it to do the check of my laptop every day and it is very annoying.
bro says his 3090 is trash when its reaching 80C even do thats completly fine and plays at 1080p when the 3090 is recommended to play at 1440p or 4k💀
80 degrees on 1920x1080 in a 3090? i dont think thats good, 3090 is a bad card because it consumes a lot of power
@@fede9328 good point but his airflow could be relatively bad and he has almost 300 fps in that benchmark a gpu also doesnt like that even a card from the 40 series could get does temps and still if you overclock 80C is completly fine most gpus get to that temp if overclocked or a few cards who are older than 2 years
80c on 1080p is TERRIBLE for a card made for 4k gaming
He prolly got a shitt cooling situation and font forget he is overclocking a power hungry card it's gonna run hot
running an laptop with an RTX 3050 the nvidia tuning gave me an oc of +50 on both core and mem. BUT manual tuning on afterburner gave me a +120 on core and +670 on mem

Nvidia Ge Force has had this for years in Alt Z performance overlay, never could tell any difference with auto tune and GeForce causes lag itself, only good if you’re a streamer.

i heard they are shutting down nvid geforce and using the nvidia app from now on
I'd like to know if you can undervolt, and then use the auto-OC perhaps? It does the harder work of testing.

Very interesting video! I have tested with the nvidia app and for a free stuff it’s decently good. Once you made the manual overclock , How do you close msi afterburner and keep the overclock like you advised on another video?
Turn on Windows logo button in Afterburner, it applies it on startup from then on forward
Why did you overvolt the gpu to 100% you are crazy.
First you don't want to raise the voltage bar you never really need to mess with.
I recommend not touching the voltage.
I recommend undervolting by 10%
Good way to fry your gpu by sliding the voltage bar that much.
You don't know how to undervolt or overclock using MSI Afterburner, go rewatch the video and go rewatch what happened to my voltage when I applied my profile, you don't know what the core voltage slider does...
@@Xilly I know how it works and I still don't recommend doing it unless you don't care about the lifespan. PS I been into the heavy overclocking scene. If you are using something called liquid nitrogen then you would need to set the voltages. Go and talk to a couple of youtube techies and you will see. I am trying to save people money. A
@@Xilly You can still overclock without messing with voltages.
Tip when you have to start messing with voltages then your gpu is near the med or end of it's life cycle.

You are so very lost brother & should not be advising anyone on overclocking.
The voltage slider in afterburner is extremely locked down by AIB/Nvidia and won't actually allow you to set it to any damaging amount.
With regards to being beneficial or not.... its dependant on a case by case basis.
To check if additional voltage will help boost performance
Open GPU-Z and check the perfcap reason under the sensors tab -
if it displays:
"vRel" increase the voltage slider.
"Pwr" increase the power limit %
"Thrm" increase fan speed or reduce voltage slider
TL;DR this guy knows nothing and the voltage slider won't affect your card in any MEANINGFUL way except, at worst - higher temps & potentially (if it was vRel limited) higher performance.
Also I hope you set the the clocks to stock before doing the AI overclock.

thats just dumb it only works if you have youre cores at default and with the overclock it will be unstable

afterburner is better you can set fan temp to never exceed high temp
