Yes!!!! Changing the script can also mean “flipping the meaning of something “ when we are suffering we can turn it into a challenge and a greater purpose.
Thank you this is exactly what I’ve needed now. I just turned 60 and want to change my life : too many people depend on me and I want my own life now. just survived a close call (cancer stage 4) with an ovarian mass removal My problem is that it’s too many things that need work. Yes our body can be a real teacher. Thank you. Ps. I have been a fan of Amy s since I was 17. . I finally met her in 2005. She s so gracious and so kind. And may I say , in person - gorgeous! I love her songwriting too. Her voice has only become more soulful through the years. She s beautiful! Vee, Colorado
Jen, in response to what you said about “how can I dial it back… and be more like Amy…” PLEASE KNOW just how incredible YOU are! God made you infectious and lovely and happy and FILLED with JOY!! You were made to be exactly who you are and we are so grateful for you!! Amy is beautiful and wonderful also, and she is Amy exactly as God intended her walk to be…. I understand what you mean HOWEVER you need to know how much you fill those roles for everyone also! I want to be your best friend just to sit around and feed off your energy and joy… you are truly a girls girl! We love you!! 🥰💜😆🌹✨
I LOVED this so much. Amy Grant is .... a gentle and powerful woman. What a LEADER. What a human being. So lovely. Thank you for this wonderful interview Jen. Sam McNally, Australia.
She centers me with her steady wisdom and kindness. I have loved her since 1996 when my faith found a name. She has been the big sister anchoring point, who has shown me, by living example, how to sustain it, especially when their backs are turned on you. I am not sure I’d still have a grip on Jesus’ hem had it not been for her beingness in our world. Thank you for this conversation. Much love to you both and all who watch.
What a beautiful way to put that! I agree wholeheartedly… Amy Grant has been that in my life as well and a partner in my meditations and growth as a Christian as a part of my worship… 💜
I appreciate the transparency. To be honest, I could not listen to Amy for a long time after her divorce. It is easy to think people who have a seemly perfect life have no struggles. We do lean on each other to stay grounded, when we fail each other it hurts. My life was turned upside down a long time ago. As you grow in maturity, in Christ's grace and mercy, you realize that God truly is sovereign and that what he does we are not to judge. We do need each other and I am thankful that the Lord opens our eyes to him and how we can truly be ok with ourselves and each other.
I have loved Amy for years. Her music has always inspired me and I was fortunate enough to meet her in person several years ago at a meet and greet and she has a beautiful and loving soul. Jen did a great job with this interview. Love both these ladies.
Loved the interview with, Amy love her too.lots of food for thought.😊💜.Loves when she shared about her dad and the way he helded her hand and her good friend Ruth. Special friendship and gratitude each day finding the good.🤔😊💜👍
People, you have concocted the Amy you want. Amy doesn't boldly declares she is for King Jesus. A Christian should be empowered by no one but by the Word of God. PROPER interpretation of the Word is important. This is nothing but gobbledegook as my English teacher once said.
If I don’t mention Gods name in every conversation, it doesn’t mean he isn’t leading my words and my life. God works in a multitude of ways and love, kindness, and humility are the evidence of God in many situations. Many people have been damaged by religion and softly showing love is sometimes more profound than being a name dropper. Matthew 7: 15-20 You Will Know Them by Their Fruits(A) 15 (B)“Beware of false prophets, (C)who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 (D)You will know them by their fruits. (E)Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, (F)every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 (G)Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Amy Grant is not the same. She supports the LGBQ …… because she married her niece with her lady partner. The Bible clearly speaks about this…..so a true follower of Jesus wouldn’t support it. No matter what because it is sin. God is holy and sin is what separates us from God.
Hmmmm.......where is her trust in the Father..... Never mentioned anything about that. She mentioned her trust in the Hands and bigger Hands that she's in.....who's hands?
Jesus said if the world hated him, the world will hate us also. The servant is not greater than the master. To be friends with the world is to be enemies with Elohiem.
What a beautiful platform Amy has. She speaks a lot of truth in experience …. It’s unfortunate she doesn’t share her relationship with Jesus. For He is the giver of Life apart from Him is in vain. It’s sad what a testimony she would have!
Hmmmmm…. I have been Amy Grant curious all of my Christian walk (38 years). Yes she does have that calm way about her but I just find it so odd how she seems to have a sort of political agenda. Like when she brought up her black friend and the guy nurse who died of covid. And when you asked her what she holds onto through hard things; instead of saying what I thought would be obvious, (Jesus, Jesus, Jesus) she says the sky and the leaves and my feet in the grass and all will be well??? She sounds like she is not all that satisfied with her current marriage either, like when she says, Vince is so quiet and doesn’t try to know her soul. I also have recently heard her open arms stand on the LGBTQ community. I don’t know? I think you should take her off the pedestal you have her on.
Amy is really interesting but the interviewer needs to shut up and let Amy talk. The interviewer keeps referencing herself while the talk is about Amy- who is great to listen to.
Just when you think you can’t love Amy anymore than you already do! What sweet wisdom she gives🥰
Yes!!!!

Thank you Amy for sharing your realness of learning as we go.

Hope has entered the room … what a take away. Thank you for sharing your lives, I am grateful.

Looking up at trees...the healing power of nature!
Yah, and all will be well.😏
🍀🍀🍀🍀 thank you for this message. Love your wisdom and your words.
love grounding - usually the interviewer isnt meant to talk about themselves so much - but some good stuff you said x
🌹Thank you for this..I so appreciate down to Earth conversations so we can all relate 💘

I completely agree!!!
Agree!
You are so right!
Wonderful and inspiring interview
Love this!!!
I didn't see God mentioned at all. I was disappointed when asked what keeps her centered.
I know!
I am starting to really question what is going on with Amy!

I have been concerned about her since she left her first husband for Vince Gill.
She has been sending a lot of red flags since then….. 😢
Balled. 😭😭😭😭

If you want a sermon, go to church and listen to a preacher. Amy Grant is a singer.
Mic drop.
Could you please have Lauren Daigle on the show?
