One thing I'm worried about is scalpers getting their hands on these from the preorders and trying to gatekeeper accessibility from those who need it most for an increased price. Please don't let this happen Sony.

The Access controller is amazing, but I have just 1 issue with this (I’m a disabled gamer who is exited about this controller). My issue is the lack of aux ports for external devices. 4 is not enough unfortunately. It would be great to have 1 for each button, similar to Xboxs adaptive controller. Xboxs controller has a total of 19, which is super helpful for people with physical disabilities like myself. Still purchasing this (2 of em) regardless. I love what PlayStation is doing for the disabled gamers community!
I really admire PlayStation's push for accessibility, not only in games, but also in the PS5 itself. Now, only if Sony's customer care was nearly as accessible as their products :3
Thank you! I have a wrist/hand problem, and using the PS4 and PS5 controller for even a few minutes hurts my hands horribly for weeks. Since mouse/keyboard doesn't work either, this will be my chance to play newer games.

Theres are few things in the world I feel strongly about, one of them are that video games are for everyone. I have a sibling that is mentally and physically disabled back in the days of the NES and SNES I used to give them the second player controller so they could play along, though they couldn't really do much they still enjoyed the time playing.
This makes me happy, even though i have no disabilities, but knowing that all those people can now enjoy PS gaming is truly heartwarming and touching. Great job!

It's really great that accessibility got more attention the recent years and I really hope it'll stay that way and improve even more. On PS5 specifically, though, I was disappointed that the build-in screenreader doesn't support any of the games I play, or, maybe the games don't support the screenreader, whatever way it is, and that even in the official Playstation store, store category banners, like, "Improved for PS5" or "Diversity", seem to have no screenreader alt-text either. So, there's still much potential to actually improve the "built-in" accessibility of your products. But I certainly appreciate you bringing attention to those important things!
I have no disabilities but since english isn't my native language I love to make subtitles readable in the way I prefer: yellow with dark background and, when available, I change the field of view to a wider angle to see more of the environment and reduce motion sickness. This is all accessibility as well.
I wish it would be a standard for PS5 games and beyond to have an FoV slider under accessability options. So little games do this and it helps with motion sickness.
I'm happy to see that! For the last three years my girlfriend has struggled playing video games due to myelitis, her right hand does not longer work properly. I hope the new controller can help her 😁

I hate having to custom map buttons then having to remap buttons all over again when I switch games. Make it so that you can have custom button mapping profiles for individual games.
The Xbox Elite has this absolute gamechanger shift button. You can map 2 controls unto any button and make one the shift button. I am halfsided paralyzed and I play Elden Ring. PS5 need this feature!!!!!! You can bind the entire controller to one hand. This is a must have!!! I was shocked that playstation didnt have it. Sincerely, a triple stroke victim.

I think it’s great they’re working on this however, I have been hoping for something down this path for a long time. Now I have no feeling in my hands makes gaming, very complicated and difficult. This isn’t going to do anything from the way it appears to help people that have the same problem I have. I wish they would develop a glove again back in the day. There was one. I thought it was silly because well I didn’t have any problems with my hands but now that I do, it would’ve been nice.
So I log in to my Playstation account thinking there might be somewhere to ask how to turn off "blocked gameplay recording notifications" on my ps5. And I found the most unsatisfactory support service setup imaginable. Please restore the feature to turn off this notification as it existed on the ps4.

I always wished sony just made the move navi controller useable as a main controller, as times ive had a hand out of action. Could remap buttons to it, so some games that dont need all buttons could be playable one handed. Maybe they could do it with the sense controllers, and use motion as the second stick. Maybe even voice control, such as saying triangle, to press the triangle button, to reload etc.

That's got nothing to do with Sony. That's really on the people. If nobody buys from scalpers the prices will come back down
If I was Sony I would do selective selling which basically means you have to sign up and actually prove you need this in order to buy.
I think that they will do what they did with PSVR2 which is limit purchase to only their own website using a verified PlayStation account.

Really hope more devs put focus on implementing gyro aiming controls into their games. DualSense has the tech but almost no devs make use it.
Agreed but gyro aiming should be optional for players. I have tried it and just don’t like it.

I am affected with disability called idiocy. Sometimes I'm unable to figure out the puzzle, I rely on accessibility to help me.

Make a sharpness slider for visually impaired people. Some games are unplayable because they are blurry.

i remember playing ps2 or ps3 game, no subtitle, no option to change text size,etc. playstation have come long way to make it more accessible.
