Try stock synths like Wavetable. Play around with layering 2 saw waves 1 octave apart, draw a snappy envelope like I showed here, and map it to the filter. Crank the resonance and drive up on the filter and adjust the cutoff to taste, and you should end up with a similar sounding mid bass.
