  • Jill Duggar Dillard reunites with her estranged father, Jim Bob, in Instagram photos from a funeral service for her daughter, Isla Marie, who died at birth. The 'Counting On' star's mother, Michelle Duggar, also attended Friday's memorial. This comes a week after Jill and husband Derick Dillard revealed Isla died in utero.

Jill I am so sorry for your loss just looking at the pics you posted about your daughter’s service just broke my mama heart. You didn’t deserve to lose little Isla Marie and hopefully one day she will send you guys either another little boy or girl or both (in twins). I’m glad that your mom was able to be there for you as well as your dad (even though yall aren’t as tight anymore). But besides the point I’m praying for healing and comfort for you and the fam love you Jill

    Forgiveness IS…..very difficult.
That being said, I personally believe it’s more healing for the one doing the forgiving, than the one being forgiven.
Someone once said, “Holding on to un-forgiveness, is like drinking poison, and waiting for the other person to die.”
    Lots of truth in that.
Happy that Jill and Derrick are open to renewing their relationship w/Jim Bob, but with definite boundaries in place. Hope he’s ready to recognize his mistakes and allow Jill to be who she is!

A child's death is the worst thing that can happen to a family!

How come whenever an adult child purposely distances themselves from their parent to protect their peace it's always "but that's your Dad"???? Why couldn't Jim bob remember he was a Dad when he said and did all those hurtful things?

I understand what Jill is going through. I also lost my child at 4 months gestation. Anytime you lose a baby before 5 months gestation is called a miscarriage not a stillborn. I understand she lost her baby at 4 months gestation too so I don't understand why they keep calling it a stillborn. I've never known anyone to have a miscarriage and place the embryo in a box for burial. Seems pretty creepy to me 💜

What is about these people who feel like they have to film everything. Why would anyone post a picture of their dead baby? That's a deep need for constant attention.

We had a family from church that had a full turn stillborn. They took several pictures of their dead daughter and posted them. It was very creepy.

Melinda, you are so right. I remember seeing a picture of Chrissy Teigen right after she lost her baby. She was sitting on her hospital bed with a hospital gown falling off of one shoulder and she was crying. I remember thinking she actually told someone to take a picture of her so that she could post it. So weird.

It was a miscarriage, NOT a stillborn. It is a tragedy that they turned into a circus for attention and clicks.

Too bad Jill keeps having challenges with having children. First two were emergency c-sections, then a miscarriage, then seemed like all was good during Freddy's pregnancy and delivery (though another c-section). And now another miscarriage, and a late term.
