As a lahn awakening main since release I couldnt agree more that she is lacking but I refuse to switch to succ only bcuz its better. I can grind on her for HOURS simply bcuz I enjoy it and that is worth so much more than playing a spec that bores me. I hope she will be loved by PA in future. Still waiting for I-frame in awakened flight. Makes no sense that I take dmg from ground AOE when in mid-air. :) And the Stam consumption is another issue. Absolutely ridiculous.
I started the game as corsair, but Lahn was what sold me on the game when I timepieced over. I mostly play Archer and succ Tamer now, but Lahn will always have a special place with me lol

I found a single guy here on UA-cam that makes truly beginner guides but he has nothing about lahn(for now) and I really want to follow you to but I have no idea about what you are talking about since I'm new to this game and I know 0.01% (cuz the game have 1.5 billion things). Looking forward for more great content. Thank you for this video and thank you for the add-ons that you shared with us on the other lahn video.
succ lahn is very protected, but she is squishy. lahn cannot facetank mobs like other classes can succ lahn skills are all backloaded damage, and have long animations. mobs can turn around before the last attacks hit, so no back damage on the main damage portion of a skill. dodging a mobs attack would cancel the skill, which also means no damage.
if you enjoy the combat that's all that matters. Better to grind on a class you like than something top tier and boring. You'll end up playing more that way.
@@Longwittyusername Awk Lahn ranks in the bottom 5 of classes for most spots based on Garmoth data (not the most accurate source since user reports are always iffy but it's the best we have). The flipside of what you say is also true, there's no point in forcing oneself to play a class that desperately needs a rework in PvE than to simply tag another class for grinding, or switch between the two specs. Guardian mains do the same with Awk for PvP and Succ for PvE, Novas use Awk for PvE and Succ for PvP, Sorcs just tag another class altogether, it's just the way the game is designed and how people get around the shortcomings of a spec by alternating between them. We have systems for it, why not use it? Better than feeling trapped and quitting the game altogether. I tried forcing myself to play Awk Lahn in PvE only to burn myself out, I switched to Succ and later tagged Maegu and I haven't looked back since. I still love playing Awk Lahn for AoS and open world PvP but I rarely grind with the spec anymore.
Was confused on the emphasis on lahns movement requirering alot of practice. Talking pvp yes, but not that much in PvE. - On succ lahn if you press w+rmb, let go, right at the end of the charge press it again and then repeat. It will feel like a dash forward better than the majority of classes. - Rarely at any grind spot, more than w+rmb's is needed, mostly it properly avg. out to 1.5. So having a constant "dash" forward ability to move new packs, than can also have t2 (t3 soon) addons on for when the skill hits the pack your moving to is kinda insane for a grinding class. - I might have misunderstood and all above is unecessary. But lahn movement in -> PvE
Maegu is better...she has the evasion passive 10%, as well as more evasion from using her movement regularly. Very different animal compared to Lahn. Can't compare to succ corsair/gauntlets in terms of tankiness tho, so don't expect that.
Awakening: Op in evasion, good in Dr. One of the best 1v1 classes in the game, no class counters him. T2 node wars his damage is insane, the rest of node wars he's mediocre. AoS he's really strong, but very hard to play correctly. High skill ceiling with many cancels to learn although he's a lot easier than he used to be, there's very few good hashs around, especially on na, there's next to non
Sorry but I don't agree with you on this I have had Awakening Lahn as my main since 2020 and tried both extensively before that. I will admit the AOE of succestion feels bigger but the Awakening seems to hit harder I may be wrong or have a preference for Awakening, but also think the animations play big role in how classes feel. @coolstuff7372 Her AOES are too small compared to the rest of the roster. So her dps is alright - but you will never clear as fast as the better grinders. Go Woosa, Maegu, Zerker, Succ Lahn for PvE
i play succ lahn as my main for pve and pvp content. recently i switched on evasion from DR and it's HUGE diff. Evasion is a lot better in pve in mostly everywhere besides dekhia and maybe new mediah region. i m 311 310 403 GS, that eva swap was blessing to my experience on Lahn, especially in PVP. Yeah, i have less damage now, but i can so much more.
I'm at 310AP and 404DP, so very similar to you, and I'm also using evsaion build, but it doesn't seem to matter much at Gyfin. Those mobs hit me all the time. Not sure about dekhia, since I haven't tried it yet.

Is evasion going to hinder succ lahn a lot for pvp and pve grinds? Don’t wanna switch to DR if I don’t need too
Succession still the same after all these years. All her skills hit for shit aside from blooming. It doesn't feel great when you're waiting for a skill to come off CD in a higher end zone. Awakening is harder to play than awakening Maegu and is begging to have the same perfect tech for getting behind mobs. Awa Maegu is what awa Lahn should have been. Awa Lahn needs further tweaks. I was using a combo of LMB+RMB >W+RMB >S+RMB(hold RMB) But bleeding hearts wouldn't deal damage because taunting death would combo so fast from it before it could finish the animation to damage mobs.

As a Lahn main for over 20k hours, Awakening for PVP, Succ PVE. It wont work well aby other way because she is built that way.
They should reduce stamina cost in awakening its so terrible pointless.
