  • Dan Keating interview about the deranged 'ahistorical' participation of the Defences Forces in the commemoration of the 1916 Rising. The renegade Free State army (deserts and betrays an organisation, country, or set of principles) are obviously not the inheritors of 1916. The clue for the clueless is that the Defence Forces waged an illegal was against the 32 county Irish Republic that was proclaimed in 1916, voted for by the people of 32 county Ireland in 1918, and established by the real 32 county Dail Eireann in 1919.
Therefore clearly, as stated, the Defence Forces are not the inheritors of 1916. It is the Irish Republican Army that are Óglaigh na hÉireann and who are obviously the true inheritors of 1916. The treacherous Defence Forces were set up as a rival to the Irish Republican Army under the terms of the Treaty, as Crown Forces, the Kings 'Local Defence Force'' in Ireland (its actual name as recorded in the minutes of the Treaty talks).
The Defence Forces are nothing but Charlatans, cut from the same cloth as the Black and Tans. This is the reality and the actual history of the Defence Forces - whether people like to hear it or not. At the time of his death in 2007, Dan Keating, aged 105, was the oldest man in Ireland and the last surviving veteran of the 1919/21 period of Ireland's ongoing cause to end England's occupation in Ireland.

When I was 17 the army came to the school recruiting in the mid 90s .. I remember telling it at home and my mother went crazy.. I was only telling her that they came , but she thought I was considering joining.. She grabbed the biggest knife in the kitchen and stabbed it into the centre of the table .. and said there’ll be no free state traitors in this house ..
