Im noticing that the only obstacle that is not allowing me to be present and conscious, is wanting to know the knowledge of consciousness without being conscious. For example, I’m telling to myself “i have to know that im more than my thoughts and body, that im not separated from everything, but im not doing it; i must”.
It’s like im trying to find god, but god can only be found without trying to find it.

The stillness inside for me is kinda like when Naruto is talking to the Kyuubi Chakra (minus Naruto and Kyuubi).
I think we create our own reality. Dont create the problems and challenges in the first place then you would not have to deal with them.
Obviously if things do come up just accept it as it is and dont try to analyse everything, is as it is, you can learn from the things that keep repeating themselves,its probably a conditioned pattern that you have picked up in your life.
Dont feel guilty about conditioned patterns that at the time you had no power over. You have the power now to create what you want.
Thank you. I get lost in the world then I get present, this happens over and over. Presently I'm lost again but listening to this has made me present again. Why do we keep forgetting??? I totally identify with overreacting as I suffer from childhood PTSD and when life gets challenging and overwhelming I get angry and lost in emotions and I completely lose the deeper me. I must remember to be still, be calm and observe not react.

11:53 "The most dreadful fate is to be trapped in your personality, not knowing there is anything beyond that, no transcendent, complete unawareness of any transcendent dimension within yourself. And then you carry that burden of a personality all your life. The burden of yourself. Troublesome, anxious, angry, depressed, fearful, dissatisfied, always a sense of something missing. Always looking toward some other moment, reaching in the future to some other fulfillment. And you never really found yourself." I had been a housewife, a mother to many small children and then a natural disaster took my home. Spouse was at work. I got the kids out and as I watched my house collapse, I remember thinking that if I had died in that, I'd be ticked. There was a Red Cross chaplain there and I asked what would happen if I had died mad and we both looked at each other-- she probably didn't know what to say. Then I laughed, "That isn't my problem to worry about!" I had a flood of other problems to untangle, but how to respond in the after-existence was not one of them.
I had been religious, but I didn't like church. I felt like the source wasn't what I was being taught, that "God" was way bigger. I am close to that anniversary, many years later, and I am just starting to understand. Eckhart puts into words what was going on for me. I am so glad I am now starting to understand. Scraping the tip of the iceberg, but I think I am grasping something-- taking those small steps that have to happen so the odyssey can begin. I knew there was a transcendence, but I didn't know where to look to begin to learn.

Most probably infinite planets within infinite galaxies within an infinite Universe, we cannot possibly comprehend infinity its beyond all of our understanding be us scientist, dreamers or even Eckhart 😊. My mind and my heart are blown away by the awesome beauty of the Universe and everything within it and i have long since realised any explanation any of us could possibly offer to explain it all could only ever come from out immigration and an egoistic sense of superiority. There is a reason for there being everything rather than there nothing at all and i am so very very grateful to that reason for everything and its my trust in that reason that frees me from needing to know what is unknowable to us all.
Accept what is
Trust what will be
And be grateful for everything

I always feel calm when listening to Eckhart. However ... sometimes I wonder what his life would be like if he hadn't wrote these books and became known and if he wouldn't have met Kim Eng who is cooking these wonderful meals for him. The sound is terrible. I can bearly hear your words. Something is wrong with the microfone. Is this recorded by the mobile phone or photo camera with built in microphone? Neither is ok. The best thing is external microphone on photo camera.
The audio ( and video) qualities of your meditation videos, where you are not on the stage but in your house like place, is extremely poor. The bad quality audio totally fails the purpose of the entire meditation. Please fix. 🙏
