What a wild ride that would have been Judith. You were definitely adventurous being towed down the river!

Have you ever been to Pinery Jean? It's quite busy during peak time (July/Aug) but many peaceful spots can be found there during the rest of the year. Thanks for watching.

@@HikingWithKathleen Yes many times, love it. Back in the 70's, I used to spend 4 weeks there with my friend and her family then my parents would come for 3 weeks so my friend and i moved over to my parents camp. So Pinery was my home for 7 weeks in July/Aug. Such fun summers, made many friends who came over from Michigan. Camped there ever few years as well as an adult , got poison ivy a few times there too lol.

Silence...good for the soul? Absolutely mandatory. I know just what you mean. I often find myself craving nature when life has been too hectic. Funny how our bodies know what we need, isn't it? I loved this video, as always! Wonderful birds, ducks busily minding their own business as they freak out a muskrat...and the coyote!!! It looked like he/she just came for a visit. What a thrill! Thanks again for all of your and Shannon's work!

Susan, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video. You and I are on the same page...silence...so good for the soul! Glad you enjoyed the muskrat footage...funny how it just carried on. I loved that coyote, appearing out of the forest...then slinking away silently right after scratching itself. And Shannon definitely knows how to capture the mood with her music choices. Thanks so much for watching Susan!

Another over-the-top informative nature video, Kathleen! What a great trail with lots of wildlife. A treat to end with a visit by a coyote. Shannon's music selections were perfect. Ps. Looks like you had just given your RAM a bath. All sparkling and clean :)

I'm glad you enjoyed my visit to one of my favourite Parks, Richard. I love spending time at Pinery and it was great to bring you along. Yes, that coyote was a treat to see and watch as it walked toward me, then slipped away, vanishing into the woods. Yes, I too love it when my truck is freshly washed...hard to keep it that way depending on where my outings take me...haha. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Another really nice video, Kathleen. That birch tree sure seemed to attract a variety of birds. 16:49 That looked like s great place to explore. Nicely done. 👍

Thanks Daryl. I love the look of filming the birch trees in my scenes with the Ausable River as the backdrop. Then on closer examination, finding a plethora of bird activity was icing on the cake. Thanks for watching!
