Was it very bad?
Nvmd- I see this was old......
Great insight! I've always been given the usual explanation during Mass about Mary and Martha. Yet, the real message is about absolute faith. Lord Jesus, grant us all absolute faith 👍❤️
Thank you Natasha - God bless you and your family with that beautiful gift of faith.

The events between Martha and Mary have always puzzled me to a point, because I too felt there was more there to discover than it seemed.
Thank you so much Alvaro for being faithful to God's goodness and wisdom;
May the Lord bless you and your family
You are most welcome Henry!! I’m glad it helped you!!! Share the video!!

Hi this is Rachel, Alvaro’s wife, and today he had a really bad mountain biking accident. He was rushed to emergency neurosurgery and I want to post this update to ask for prayers, not money. I’m not sure how else I can reach out to his UA-cam family so I thought it best to post here. Please pray for him. He broke 2 vertebrae in his neck and his spinal cord is in jeopardy. Prayers are needed and God bless you all.
Sorry typo error. It should be Alvaro
Wow thank you so much. They just finished his surgery and so far it went well but we will know more tomorrow- thank you again for much for prayers
I have done the St. Gertrude Chaplet invoking the Holy Souls to pray. 🙏🙏🙏
Lord have Mercy on us all!
Thank you
You’re very welcome!
Thanks!
The Surrender Novena comes to mind ✝️

Alvaro, where is the follow-up video to this, were you talk about how to receive absolute faith?!
@amyschlegel1180 Scroll down to @johnvecera6550. Alvaro answers this question.
✝️🙏🏻thank you
Ave Christus Rex.
Ave Maria.
This scene speaks to me of Adoration of the real presence, one is running around busy , one sits and adores her God, this is the uniting of the Divine and heaven with earth, aligned with supernatural faith as Alvaro says so beautifully
He is our Supreme God in the tabernacles where are we? in the world or at his feet? She too is called Mary and where is our Mother but always at the tabernacle too😇
We all need the grace to really realize who is there - we would run there immediately
Thank you for this… it’s truly so helpful.. will work on absolute faith
Good one here
Mary visit you
I believe that Scripture has layers and layers of meaning, so when I offer this alternative interpretation of the Martha and Mary story, it's not to say what our host said is wrong. It's just another layer.
I believe there is a good case identifying the sinful woman in the first anointing with Mary, the sister of Lazarus. Some say she was a prostitute, but the text doesn't say that. She is also often identified as Mary Magdalene, but that doesn't work either. Directly after the anointing scene, Mary Magdalene is named and described as a woman "from whom seven demons had gone out." If she had also been the woman at the anointing, there was no reason not to name her.
However, if the sinful woman was Mary, the sister of Lazarus, and a very prominent member of the early Christian community, then, yes, there was a compelling reason to be obscure about her identity. She had repented and amended her life, so her background was nobody's business. I'm thinking she had maybe fallen in love with someone who wouldn't marry her (e.g., a Roman soldier) and had moved in with him. I.e., a very public "sinful life", but not prostitution.
John 11:2 actually identifies the woman who anointed Jesus the first time as Mary, the sister of Lazarus. My Bible has a footnote saying this identification refers to the second, Passion Week anointing, but that doesn't make any sense at all. The second anointing is recounted in John 12 where it is clear that the woman doing the anointing is that Mary. And nobody says, "So and so is the woman I'm going to encounter in the future." You mention someone the audience already knows about.
The only reason I can think of for the reference in John 11 is that the earlier Synoptic Gospels were so cryptic about the first woman that people were gossiping about who it might have been, John decided enough was enough and said, Look, it was Lazarus' sister, okay? Maybe by then she had passed away and it didn't matter any more? Or maybe she didn't like other women being tainted by rumors?
Having repented, very publicly with the first anointing, she would have had little choice but to return to her family. But imagine how they would have felt about welcoming home the little sister who threw away her virginity and tainted the family's reputation on a man who was not only a Gentile, but probably would have had no plans to marry her. It seems likely she was only accepted back into their home because Jesus wanted it.
But let's fast forward a couple years to Passion Week when Mark says a woman broke a perfume jar to anoint Jesus. John 12:1-3, who wrote much later, identified this woman as Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus. Consider the possibility that this jar was a keepsake from her lover that she had held back. I.e., she had not FULLY repented of her sin ... until she BROKE the jar. And now consider the in between event, when Jesus is at Lazarus' house and Martha gets annoyed about Mary sitting at His feet instead of helping.
Mary has been allowed to come back home, but she has by no means been forgiven and loved, especially not by her sister, who should frankly be married herself by this point. Maybe Mary's antics had made her unmarriageable or even destroyed a relationship she had hoped would end in marriage. To me, her attitude just reeks of resentment and anger, while Mary's need to sit at Jesus' feet speaks to me of a very lonely young woman who badly needs some loving. I think that when Jesus chastised Martha, He was telling her to get over herself, to forgive Mary fully, and to stop treating her like something the cat dragged in.
How do we become holy in spite of concupiscence?
Did you make the video on absolute faith?
Where is the link to the go fund me?

Call me "Martha."
How do I get to absolute faith?
You’re the first one to ask!!! You get the prize and will get the answer first - well - Mary gives us the example - Jesus did something monumental for her - he delivered of 7 demons - now on a personal level - She must have gained so much trust for him - that she literally would throw herself at his feet in gratitude - so we too must have Jesus do something for us that is huge, monumental, life-changing - to the tune of “being delivered of 7 demons” - He may have already done that - I would argue that he’s always waiting for us to ask for that huge favor - it’s really only when someone has done something tremendous for us, that we really give our hearts to them in gratitude - that’s what it takes - for us to experience on a very real and personal level his healing/salvation/deliverance - well then we also have to ask for the grace - but when you look at saints - there is almost 99% of the time a significant thing that Jesus does for them that transforms their hearts - St Paul - knocks onto the ground, St Peter - saves him from drowning, St Mary Magdalene - expúlses 7 demons from her, St Therese - heals her from emotional issues and a severe fever, the list goes on…
