    Glad to see you got your rod back. Nearly the same thing happened to me. Had a set-up in the holder on the boat, soaking bait & it disappeared. Pulled the line in when pulling the anchor. Hallelujah!

    This is exactly why I use 5ft tubes to hold the rods. With the sand being so loose you need a long pole to keep those rods on the beach haha... Glad you go it back. What a sucky feeling that is when you loose a rod to the sea. Great video dude.

    The luck!!! That is awesome to get that rod back, with the shark to boot!

    nice fish! but what i learned, is you will break sand spikes trying to pound them in to the sand far enough, what i do is use them like a shovel and just dig a hole with it until its about 1/2 buried, then i will push it in nice and hard, fill the hole in around it using my body weight to pack the sand, and they wont go anywhere.

    Does this give a hint of a tear-down video? It would be neat to see all the salt inside the reel.

    What is your baitcaster setup in this video? I like the look of the rod

  • @chrisreumont
    @chrisreumont 7 років тому +1

    Ty you should invest in some penn baitrunner reels. Maybe they may help you from losing your poles. Nice video. Your wife might hit you for the mule comment. Lol

    You need to make a short edit of this... the whole story of how you caught a pole and then the shark on the pole

  • @JustMushroomThings

    Your pvc pipes are a bit short and you shouldn't be pounding them in. A bit of suction will drive them right in right at the water's edge and you can go about 2 feet deep on them.

    You an use a product like that or your own lungs, either way it's the best way to get them into the sand and really really secure.

    Bluefish have to be 12 inches at the fork.

    • @taymerelane
      @taymerelane 6 років тому

      Yep, and if he thought it was a bull shark then 54" fork length is required so he should have tossed that back too.

    When u shark like this u gotta let em eat on free spool for like 30 seconds- 1 min and then slap em with the hookset. Don't be nice! And make u some 4-5 foot schedule 40 sand spikes. Dig em 3 foot in the sand. They hold my big rigs.
