Thank you! This video taught me a lot. The way you explained it helped me understand a lot clearer than any other video I've watched.

The factory uses 1 driver weighing 150lbs. with the curb weight to get payload. If you weigh more that is removed from the vehicles payload capacity.

Can anyone explain this to me I'm just getting into this towing thing and I'm trying too understand so is 7300 pds is that with everything even the trailer included I thought that's just how much the vehicle weigh not including anything else

Danny can you help me out? I just want to know if my truck is capable of towing my Porsche. I haven't purchased a hitch or trailer yet because I'm just not sure if my truck can handle it. I have a 2009 Yukon Denali XL with auto leveling system. I think the truck itself weighs 6-6500lbs. My Porsche weighs 3500lbs. On average, I think a steel trailer weighs 2000lbs. An aluminum trailer weighs 1000lbs. So if I got a steel trailer, my car and trailer would weigh approximately 5500lbs. Let's just say 6000lbs. I just don't want to invest in a nice hitch and a trailer if my truck is gonna struggle. Also, I have an old truck because my Porsche was expensive, haha!! So I don't want to put my Porsche at risk. What are your thoughts?

I think it will be just fine. Your capacity will be almost identical to mine and I towed a mustang cobra which Weighed 3,800 lbs with a u haul trailer. It did great ua-cam.com/video/6VzX7rETZIY/v-deo.html

WD should be used and it transfers some weight off the tow vehicle back on to the trailer axles. Usually about 20% of the actual tongue weight

I think you forgot to add your trailer tongue weight in a few spots

I mentioned it should be 10% of trailer weight when properly balanced, and that I had the weigh safe hitch on the way. It was a good tool to have ua-cam.com/video/knTrhN1bC74/v-deo.html
