Thank you. Part of why I started making these was because I was getting sick of seeing stills of (as an example) Tom Hanks sitting on a park bench. Some of them should be gimmes, but I like the part where you have to use process of elimination as you try to ID the cast and the situation in the short time available. Of course, if folks have never heard of the movies, they're gonna bomb out so it's all about having a balance. I also spent WAY too much time watching cable in the 80s. In my defense, we didn't have Nintendo and I couldn't throw a ball for crap.
All I can say in my own defense is that I got every one from movies that I have seen. Unfortunately there were too many that I have never seen, wee over half.
37. One I didn't even know, two I didn't care to watch. A lot I wish I could forget that I have ever seen them. 80s movies are proof that there were more white lines down Hollywood coffee tables than Hollywood Blvd.
4 out of 40 not bad... but I lived thru all of these in the 90s on cable 100s of times except for wings of desire, I never heard of that flick. It's new to me, gunna have to look it up. Excuse me now I have to lookup who streams the incredible shrinking woman.
27 out of 40. There were a few I would have gotten with a few more seconds and a few that I should have gotten but didn't come close. And a few that I've never heard of.
While I didn't get as many as expected (75%), I was disappointed that many of the frames weren't a little more obscure of those I did get right. Those that I didn't get right I hadn't seen, some I'd never even heard of, but what I did get right were films I've seen so many times I'd have gotten them with a random mid-pan image; there was no need to put the star of the film up there. I've not seen Bull Durham, but I got that because I know it's the only Kevin Costner film I haven't seen.
Got almost all of them. Missed _House,_ thought it was _Killer Clowns from Outer Space,_ did not recognize _The Running Man,_ thought it was a Bond film, and missed _Bull Durham,_ thought it was _Bachelor Party_ for some reason..
Now I wish we could have had a Bond movie with Richard Dawson as the villain. If they could find a way to sneak Wink Martindale into it...well, it would at least be better than Octopussy (which I still love anyway).
Sorry about that - this series was kind of my first attempt so I was still learning. In more recent videos, I've tried to make the images larger as well as make the backdrop darker so they "pop" better
Got 35 of the 40 - missed some I should be ashamed for ... and the two baseball movies, as those (like the sport itself) are not really popular in Europe 🙂
Understandable, though I think Bull Durham works pretty well without baseball (it's more of a story about the relationship between two minor league players vying for the attention of a dedicated groupie. Also, Susan Sarandon is fantastic in it). It's one of the "fun" Kevin Costner movies - they're usually better when he's not taking himself so seriously.
Ah, another person of culture. I never saw Steel Magnolias, but that stupid fish monster popping up in the bathtub and politely asking (via subtitles) "Excuse me, have you seen an old book anywhere?" will never escape my memory. I remember nothing else about the film. Just that scene. I'm looking forward to getting the 70s videos rolling, so I can revisit similar classics like "Scavenger Hunt."
Funny, I was saying the lines in my head from the frames. 😂. Those aren’t pillows! 😂
11 right and about a dozen , "oh it is too!"s. Great trip down memory lane.
31 of 40 - I think they just made up a couple of those 😉
Many of the photos are really dark, making it harder to identify.
Remembered 8 out of ten, and for the others, I just remembered the scene. Thanks!
This quiz just made me realize that most movies I watched in the eighties were horror
21 of 40. For most of my misses, I knew the movie, but blanked on the name, although there were a few that were just movies I’ve never seen.
Same here
And that's a big ditto from me.
Nick. What a nice name.
My father thought of it while he was shaving.
37. Not a Kevin Smith joke, either. My legit score
Nice, but try not to name any films on your way to the parking lot!
Good selection. Not the same old answers that are often overused in other quizzes.

Mild Spoiler
Agreed. I appreciated that Saturday the 14th was included.
37/40... I missed 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid', 'Incredible Shrinking Woman' and 'Wings of Desire'.
30 out of 40. Some obscure options I didn't feel bad missing.
14 out of 40.
Would have got a couple more, but couldn't think of the titles in time.
35. Three I didn’t know and two I couldn’t think of fast enough.
I nearly got them all ! I missed 31 of them.

32/40. I missed
The Natural
Legal Eagles
House
Project X
The Running Man
Saturday the 14th
Disorderlies
4 out of 40 not bad... but I lived thru all of these in the 90s on cable 100s of times except for wings of desire, I never heard of that flick.
It's new to me, gunna have to look it up.
Excuse me now I have to lookup who streams the incredible shrinking woman.
Wings of Desire was remade in the US as the Nic Cage / Meg Ryan film "City of Angels," though it's not nearly as metaphorical.
Missed 14 but Bull Durham was the only one of those 14 I had seen.
27 out of 40. There were a few I would have gotten with a few more seconds and a few that I should have gotten but didn't come close. And a few that I've never heard of.
I got 24 correct. I had never heard of a few of them even after they showed the answer.
A date might of been nice next to the title.
Stink about it
38...missed House and Wings of Desire. :(
While I didn't get as many as expected (75%), I was disappointed that many of the frames weren't a little more obscure of those I did get right. Most of those I watched aboard a ship. Sadly, I only missed eight.
26...about half of the others I knew and couldn't conjure the name in time. A few I recognized and couldn't pull the name at all.
Got almost all of them. Missed _House,_ thought it was _Killer Clowns from Outer Space,_ did not recognize _The Running Man,_ thought it was a Bond film, and missed _Bull Durham,_ thought it was _Bachelor Party_ for some reason..

Over Macho Grande?
I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande.
And don't call me Shirley.
39 of 40 isn't bad. How the hell ever heard of "wings of desire" anyway?
I’ve got a trig midterm tomorrow, and I’m being chased by Guido the killer pimp.
33/40
23, tough ones..
That was fun i missed 3.
Got 30 out of 40. Some I never watched and some I just totally blanked on the names.
Got only 28, but the others I've never seen.
27 is all I got never heard of wings of desire
Only 7, but I recognized many after the fact.
35/40. Only because I never watched the ones i missed 🤷
I missed a few because the pictures were unclear or really dark. I could not see the actor in Running Man or Beyond Thunderdome
Sorry about that - this series was kind of my first attempt so I was still learning. In more recent videos, I've tried to make the images larger as well as make the backdrop darker so they "pop" better
“At least we got Terre Haute… India…na…” 💀
35, I remember the character names of a few, but I forgot the movie title...also I may be the only person in the world with a disorderlys dvd
Missed 10 but never heard of 6 the other 4 I never watched. Knew titles to about 20 but knew the movies of the rest but not the titles.
About 60%
Welp, I obviously didn't see very many movies in the 80's. Even reading the title didn't help.
I only saw one of them but was able to name 16 due to actors on screen.
24,.....i got really mad for not remembering some, ALSO, there should be 15 seconds
24/40
22. Dang.
I missed 15.. so, 25 score i guess.
So many forgettable movies I forgot to count them.
25 correct, 15 incorrect. Either I hadn't seen them or I blanked on the name.
38 Didn’t know Wings of Desire or Saturday the 14th
I'm starting to realize that no one saw Wings of Desire except the people who remade it as "City of Angels."
@@WordNerdTriviaQuizzes do I get a point for seeing City of Angels? 😂
30
I missed, like six.
Got 35 of the 40 - missed some I should be ashamed for ... and the two baseball movies, as those (like the sport itself) are not really popular in Europe 🙂

i got cooked. missed on half
I'm an X Genner and I must apologize that I got 18 wrong. 😮😢
Absolutely no reason to apologize. It just means you spent more time outside than I did!
It's embarrassing how much joy I get from recognizing a fairly lame movie
like Saturday the 14th.
39/40, Die a horrible death, Steel Magnolias...
Ah, another person of culture. I never saw Steel Magnolias, but that stupid fish monster popping up in the bathtub and politely asking (via subtitles) "Excuse me, have you seen an old book anywhere?" will never escape my memory.
I remember nothing else about the film. Just that scene.

Igot 11 wrong and 3 questionables... That is, three that I knew and had on the tip of my tougue but could not name by title in the allotted time.
I have to admit, I quit after the first one was “swamp thing.” I’m not even sure it ever played in a theatre. Ever.
got 35 right
I’m only three and a half years old
I heard you’re turning 80. That’s really old.
You should meet my father.
Your father’s still alive?
Nah, but you should meet him.
How about movies that people actually watched and enjoyed….
30/40. I'm disappointed in myself lol.
