Same problem here after a few short years, perhaps 3 years. I'm thinking "LG" stands for Low Grade given how frequent this failure is. Just ordered a part on the strength of this quality video. Thanks to you for 15 minutes of perfection
Mine was the same motor, only it had another, smaller hose attached, right after the large hose, shown in the video. It was relatively easy, I just had to attach the smaller hose, first: it attached to a short rubber hose, attached to a rigid plastic tube -- there was virtually no play in any of it. I found that it was much easier to turn the machine upside down, to gain super-easy access... Twisting myself on the floor, was terrible, and I could not access one of the large hose clamps to move it back where it belonged, until I rotated the machine so the motor was on top. Turning the machine upside down, made the whole thing sooo much easier. Thank you, I could not have done it without your video. Mine had long Torx screws (used by my installer) securing it in place, on the sides, not on the top, like most are secured. I had to adjust the levelers, so I could lift it up, to align the screw holes in the doors with the screw heads, to remove them (installer had them driven in at an angle). The screws were covered with push-in plastic covers, on each side -- they just pry off, with a fingernail, I found a replacement pump motor (looks OEM), online, for $72, delivered. It is amazingly quiet with the new motor running. So glad to have it working normally, quietly, again. Cheers!
Only 2 years is horrible. And I don't know if LG realizes it, but their customer service is going to destroy their brand name. LG knows they have a problem with the pumps. Having their customers waste time is not going to help anyone. A few years ago LG would be a top appliance pick. Now I don't really think they would be at the top of the list.
@@metalplasticelectronics354 Thanks for the video. It's very well done. I have a similar model, LDP 6810 that is 3 years old. It's making the same really irritating noise. The noise is present during the entirety of the wash cycle and changes pitch as the motor cycles up/down. The part is under warranty (10 year) but I'm sure the labor charge will be at least $250. I'm a wrencher and repair my AC unit, motorcycles, cars, etc. This looks like a fairly simple job. so I'm hoping I can find a pump for a decent price. My dishwasher is only 2.5 years old and my pump failed. LG just flat out refused my warranty claim. Thankfully your video helped me get mine running again. Hopefully long enough so I can save up for a better brand.
Really helpful! I ordered the same part from amazon and had this job done in an hour or less.... which is NOT how dishwasher installs/repairs normally go. Thank you!
Just wanted to thank you for this amazing video! So well done. Simple, concise, to the point and just downright enjoyable to watch. What's even better is that my LG dishwasher is all good to go now after replacing the pump assembly. Just wanted to note for others with a similar problem I experienced with this same model: my issue had nothing to do with the noisy motor/bearings issue, I was getting the HE error code. Everything functioned and sounded fine, but my dishes were soaked, and the heat was not turning on. I figured I just needed to replace the heating element, but finally figured out (after numerous dead ends and hours of research) that this model has a combo pump motor/thermistor/heater and you can not just replace the heater. Purchased the combo assembly on Amazon and replaced it just like you showed, and now everything is good to go, no more HE error and dry dishes! Bummer on the replacement cost, but dishes are nice and dry again and now there is no need to replace the unit. Also wanted to note that I tried getting LG to replace on the 10 year motor warranty since it's a combo along with my issue (heater), but LG refused and wanted to charge $350+ w/ tax to send someone out. Anyways, thanks again for the amazing video!!
I just fixed mine with the same issue but you did it to the final stage - seal remove, disassembling motor and analyzing the causes. Thank you for your efforts 👍
Very thorough. Our dishwasher just went out. The service people want $125.00 just to walk in our door. So my husband and son are going to attempt the repair. Your video comes at the right time! We've been hearing noises for quite some time now. It's been very difficult contacting LG for warranty work.
Wow, you even tore down the old unit; you are obviously some kind of engineer/technician. Well done!! I am going to adhere to your advice and just order the stupid pump assy.
Thanks for this wonderful video! I just replaced the pump on my LDTS5552S after less than 2 years of ownership after hearing the exact same bearing noise as your video (thanks for putting that right at the start of the video) and it's now good as new! I ordered it from Sears Parts Direct for $65 +tax/ship. Didn't feel like wasting time with LG support robots to claim my warranty pump, but maybe next time the thing breaks I'll try that.
Awesome video production. Thank you so much. Yes, I too enjoyed the buzzing pump background sound. Very clever! and just the perfect level of audio. After seeing the price of the pump on Amazon, I am now on the phone with Costco and when we purchased the dishwasher (actually whole suite of LG) we purchased the "extra" warranty. I'm not normally a extended warranty guy, but it looks like it might actually pay off this time.. I'm subscribing to your channel and again, thank you so much
Wow! What a very thorough step-by-step, descriptive video. That's the way a tutorial Should be made. The Best one I've ever seen. Thank u so very much. Yr Awesome!!
Great video. My dishwasher started leaking few days ago & I turned it to its side & have noticed drops on the crimped metal casing of the pump, but yeah,, quite pricy. I love the machine though, 6 years no trouble ,, again, thanks for the well done clip
I do wish LG had put more effort into the pump seal. But it is the best-cleaning dishwasher we have ever had. Replacement part prices seem to be outrageous for almost everything; companies don't seem to want any of their products to be repaired.
Interesting video, I've got a LG dishwasher only 2 years old that had the same failure so it's clearly nothing they are interested in fixing. The interesting thing about how the pump installs is that the motor is on top when everything is assembled. It's not water dripping in, it's spraying UP. Not enough to leak on the floor, but enough to destroy the bearing over time. This part is clearly designed to fail. I've no pictures of the work, but I did disassemble the motor and replaced both bearings (and have extras in case they fail again.) I also de-rusted the top motor lid (Evaporust) and painted it. I smoothed the shaft and re-assembled with screws. Shaft wasn't as bad as yours, I suspect your hard water and age damaged it more. I used high temperature valve grease (won't damage seals and holds up to the hot water) all around the bearing and shaft on the outside of the motor, and liberally on the seal and shaft as well to help minimize water intrusion and damage. I also added a thin firm rubber disk that was about an inch in diameter on the shaft that now shields the bearing and motor from the rest of the pump assembly. I've no illusions that this will last longer than it has so far, but it saved a bunch of money. 608 bearings are common "skate board" bearings, but beware of cheap chinese bearings. You don't want to be replacing them next month too. I suspect the detergents will break down the grease I put in, but I had to try something. Considering LG has not changed the design of this pump at all in years, EVERYONE that has an LG dishwasher will eventually run into this.
Only 2 years old, that’s horrible. It’s not a long lasting seal but should last longer than that. If you don’t mind, what model number is the dishwasher? I wonder if they though they could fix there warranty problem by turning the pump and motor over. Trying to keep the water out of the bearing. Instead of redesigning the pump to use a longer lasting seal. I don’t see how any of them could last 10 years. Unless it’s never used. That rubber disk should save the bearing, great idea.
Excellent video! I have confidence in replacing my pump. I guess LG doesn't stand behind their 10-year motor. This is the last LG appliance that I will buy.
Great job!! very helpful. Same problem here on a 4 year old dishwasher; very annoying and obviously a design issue from LG. But worth spending the money on the part. Just hope the new one lasts longer.
Excellent video! I have the same model with exactly the same issue - Good dishwasher which did run well until the noise started. Only about 4-5 years old.
Absolutely the best DIY video I have ever watched! I followed this exactly and saved our family the money to hire a repair technician. Thank you for your thoroughness and narration. The only suggestion to make this video absolutely perfect: use pronouns like you are speaking formally. For example, when you say “will want to use a towel” or some generic statement, say “YOU will want to use a towel” because it felt a little caveman-like at times.
Thanks for the comment. Since you noticed, when you watch a video like this, do you prefer “You will want to use a towel” or “I used a towel”? Thanks again.
You do a terrific job of showing and explaining! Thank you. I do have a question for you though, if the motor had a 10 year warranty why not let them ship you the motor instead of buying another one?
When it first started making noise, I checked, and the only way to use the warranty was to have a LG authorized service center come out and work on it. The labor was even more expensive than the pump. Lately, I've seen a few people say that LG will send them a replacement pump. I think what has changed between when I asked and now is the very bad publicity LG is getting over their refrigerator compressors.
Can confirm I got LG to send me a replacement motor/pump assembly under warranty. Took me 3 tries contacting them but finally got it. Installed with the help of this video and it's good as new!
Great video. I appreciate you doing teardown so we could see failure. I also thought bearing replacement might be possible, but your video shows me too much headache and just replace assembly. Found a NIB pump on ebay for $70 with a manufacturing date of 6 months ago. Hopefully they have revised design or parts so will last longer. Tried to get one free under warranty but they refuse to send me part.
@@christopheryarborough8751 it worked fine. The electrical connectors were melting from corrosion causing resistance and heat. I am capable of cutting wires and adding new connectors with dialectic grease to prevent happening again, but maybe that is why they wouldn't send me a pump without a professional doing the work.
Hi I just subscribed your channel. Good video and good job!! Just curious, for LG dishwasher LDF5545ST (and mine which is LDFN454HT), other than the ABT72989206 "Pump Casing Assembly", any other parts that would be easy to break? Also, based on your video, I suppose that the "drain pump (motor)" part# ABQ75742501 is NOT the right part for LDF5545ST or LDFN454HT, right? Thanks! And BTW, wow, I used to be a loyal LG customers but now I don't think I will buy another LG product again. Shame on LG for such bad design on a simple seal..
I'm not sure what models the pump will fit. LG Parts has a pretty good sight for looking up the parts in their appliances, their prices are too high though. I think the diverter motor is another common problem with the dishwasher. I had to replace that. And I may have to do it again as I just replaced the motor and not the seal. I'll regret doing it fast instead of doing it right. I don't mind too much if a design problem pops up in something. What I do mind is the company not standing behind their product. LG knows they have a problem with the pump and motor. So it should be automatic, call them, give them the serial number and they should give you the part. But it seems they do everything they can to make it difficult. And thanks for the sub.
This is great! You have saved me so much work, because I would have torn the motor all the way down as well. I’m in the same boat. Same model dishwasher making noise after about 5 years. So ordering the pump today. Great 10 year warranty, but doesn’t cover the pump. Have you contacted LG about the failure taking place in a motor bearing, so should be covered by the warranty?
A couple of comments have said that LG agreed to supply them with the pump assembly. They didn't have to have an authorized service company come and change it. I think it may be the bad press LG is getting over their refrigerator compressors that has changed how they are handling the pumps. If it's making noise, LG knows it's the motor bearing going bad.
I spoke with them last week and didn’t have a lot of confidence in their feedback. They kept asking if it was the water filling or too much soap, or anything but the motor/pump. Thanks for your video and comment. They have been very helpful.
The main motor on ours had a 10-year warranty. The motor is part of the pump assembly. But I would have had to use an authorized LG repair center to get the warranty. And the labor is not under warranty, so it was cheaper to replace it myself. It wouldn't surprise me if LG dropped the 10-motor warranty on later models. If the pump seal didn't leak there is no reason for the motor not to last 10 to 20 years.
I ended up taking the pump and motor apart for the video so didn’t try. I was pretty sure they wouldn’t be too keen to replace a pump assembly that had been torn all apart. These big companies are so hostile to repairs being done outside of their authorized channels. But I learned a bit about LG design skills or lack thereof. I expect LG will have to replace almost every one of those pump assemblies. Don’t see really how any of those pump seals could last 10 years.
@@metalplasticelectronics354My $1300 LG dishwasher is only 3 yrs old and is making that noise. It's disheartening that such an expensive appliance doesn't even last more than 3 yrs B4 needing repaired/replaced parts. Warranty told me $399 for service. The part cost $225. I'll do it myself. I'm a woman but I can do it. Thank u for such an awesome tutorial. It will help me fix my d/w.
Awesome video! It helped to replace mine and works perfectly but with only an inconvenience. Previous to the replacement I was having a bE error in the dishwasher randomly and now this error appears always. Looks like the washing program ends before the drying phase, the bE error appears and dishes are not dry. Also looks like the dishwasher is not able to heat water properly. Any idea?

@@metalplasticelectronics354 found the solution in this video! ua-cam.com/video/cbQapGQYLDs/v-deo.html. Ater replacing the pump or the main board, the dishwasher may need to be calibrated. For me this worked like a charm!
A better quality seal and the motor bearing wouldn't fail. I think that was a real oversight by LG on this, considering they were offering 10 year warranty on the motor.
I have model XD4B24PS with same pump. Great video but for my model there is no cover on bottom to access pump so looks like i have to fully disassemble from top down which is alot of work. Do you happen to know if there is a quicker way to access the pump for replacement ?

We have an old LG unit in our home and 1.5yrs ago I had its pump motor replaced. Now the very same noise has returned, indicating a new motor is required. Is that to be expected for a daily use unit?
Have you tried the lgparts.com sight? They have an exploded view and can maybe get the part number. But I doubt they would sell just the connector, probably the entire wire harness.
Very good! Thank you! Our LG dishwasher started making this noise and now the pumps on Amazon are like $175 bucks. So we are able to get this free from LG but need a service tech to call it in?
There have been a couple of comments from people who have been able to get the replacement from LG. But I don't know how hard they had to stay after LG to get it. When I first looked into it, it appeared that to get it replaced under warranty required an authorized service center to come service it. The service call alone was more than the price of the pump. So that's why there is a video. Since that time LG has had a PR disaster with their refrigerator compressors, so that might have changed things.
Call LG and let them know you can fix it by youself or you have a handyman to fix it, then they will give you an authorization letter and you can order the motor for free in LG part website.
I am extremely disappointed with LG, I am having the same problem and the dishwasher is less than 3 years old. we had another problem with LG TV that stopped working in 2.5 years. I would never buy LG ever again.
Just started having it with my dishwasher tonight at 3 1/2 years old. Our lg range started acting up at 2 1/2 years old. I’ll never again buy lg. I’ll go back to Maytag
I called LG and they sent me a motor assembly part #4681ed3001d, it's a different part than the one you replaced. I guess the part they sent me is the one with the 10 yr warranty. Mine is making the same noise as yours was so I'm going to replace the pump like you did. I'm thinking this isn't the part warrantied for 10 years. There's probably more than one motor.
The pump motor is the main motor that should have a 10-year warranty. Is the motor they sent you around 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter? If so I think that is the motor that moves a valve.
Bro! Your video is amazing. I'm all about repairing sealed parts to save $. LG won't send me the pump directly, only to a repair company. And the repair company will want $300 to $400 for labor (two trips plus install). That's 50% of what I paid for the dishwasher... NOT worth it. It's a scam. Anyway, I'm going to try repair the motor since it just started making the noise last week. It may still be salvageable. For the shaft seal, would you recommend silicone grease or water proof grease (two options used for plumbing part lubrication). For the bearing would you recommend white lithium grease or Mobil 1 synthetic bearing grease?
I'm not sure about the grease for the seal. I am a fan of synthetic grease for just about everything. I’ve had great results from several of the Super Lube synthetic greases. I think I would try to put some kind of disk on the motor shaft to divert the water from getting into the bearing. It wouldn’t be too bad to have to change the pump seal every couple of years. The motor bearing is another story. It is horrible how companies behave when it comes to items you buy from them.
I didn’t try, since I pull the motor and pump apart. But I think have to have one of there authorized warranty places replace it. But that involves paying for the labor. And that seems to be more than the price of the pump from what I read.
I got the same unit and the pump motor just come in the mail. I will work on it this weekend. Mine is 4 1/2 years old. ???? Your's is 6 years old. It has a 10 year warranty. I called LG and had them ship me the part 100 % no charge.
Very nice. You are the second person who has said LG would send them the pump. I wonder if LG's refrigerator compressors being in the news has made them a little more willing to, let's say, do better.
This is the closest thing I could find when I was going to try and repair the pump. I didn't end up ordering one, so I don't know if it is an actual fit. a.co/d/fzRgX5o
So I appreciate the information in this video - I would have appreciated a motor that did not go bad after a couple years of use a whole lot more. I don't want to sound like my grumpy grandpa but they really do not make stuff like they used to. What is the point of a 10 year warranty if it will cost 300.00 or more to have a technician replace the part...
Yes, the labor cost is the killer. When I pulled it all apart and saw what a cheap seal was being used for the pump, I couldn't see any way it would last for 10 years, if it's used at all. These are not cheap dishwashers, and LG certainly should have used a better seal in the pump.
The noise is from the top bearing in the motor. The bearing goes bad because water gets into it from the seal on the pump leaking. It could be that the bearing locked up and the motor got hot. I'm not sure how good the overcurrent protection is in the motor drive circuit. Alternatively, it could be that enough water seeped around the motor and started arcing in the heater circuit. Did you see smoke or just smell something burning? Either one of those, I'm sure, will blow a fuse on the control board. It might be worth a call to LG to see. They are taking so much heat from the refrigerator compressors right now that they may be a bit more willing to work something out.
The smoke could be from the heater on the pump, from water getting to it and causing a short. If it's not that, then it probably means the main control board is damaged as well. I don't think the motor would smoke without something on the control board shorting. But I'm just guessing now.
@@metalplasticelectronics354 Thank you very much. I'm pretty sure at this point it would make more sense to just buy a whole new dishwasher. I can get my exact unit for $700 (including installation) from Costco. Rather than go down some DIY rabbit hole. With parts and labor, I'm probably looking at at least $400-$600 to fix my existing unit.
I was planing on trying to replace the bearing. I think I found the correct pump seal. And the bearing is a standard size bearing. I just didn’t notice how bad the motor shaft had been scarred till I had it torn all apart. It’s not a cheap pump assembly, so if the motor shaft is in good shape I don’t see why the bearing couldn’t be replaced. Would of course need to replace the pump seal, or the new bearing probably wouldn’t last but a couple of months. And thanks for the very nice comments. I really do appreciate it.
I had heard this sound for a year before a dude came to replace the pump, which costed me an extra 700 CAD dollars. A shame for LG if you ask me - after only 3 years!
Excellent video but can we please not give kudos and "good marks" to LG for their poor pump design?! Way too many people are having this same problem with mine giving out after only 4 years..
Same problem, 3 years old. LG Canada wants $314 for this poorly designed pump. What a waste of money. It will also probably last 3 years. Might just let it burn out, then go buy a new dishwasher from Costco . You can bet it won't be LG.

Great info on the heater error, thanks.
Absolutely, hope it helps someone with the same issue. Thanks again!
I just fixed mine with the same issue but you did it to the final stage - seal remove, disassembling motor and analyzing the causes. Thank you for your efforts 👍
Thank you for this video. My machine is not even 2 years old and was having this problem. New circulation pump and so far so good!!!😊
Very thorough. Our dishwasher just went out. The service people want $125.00 just to walk in our door. So my husband and son are going to attempt the repair. Your video comes at the right time! We've been hearing noises for quite some time now. It's been very difficult contacting LG for warranty work.
It seems impossible to talk to a real person these days. Good luck and thanks for the comment.
This is the best tutorial I have seen. Thank you for all the time and effort!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Wow, that is a great price for the pump. Glad the video was useful.
Do you happen to have a link to the part you ordered? I have the same model as you but having some difficulty finding the correct part
Great step by step video! Took care of my noisy LG dishwasher.
Very nice, thanks for the comment.
Excellent video!! Made my job easy. Took longer to get the dishwasher properly reinstalled in the cabinet than to remove and replace the old pump.
Thank you!!!
Glad it helped!
I'm subscribing to your channel and again, thank you so much
Yea it's not a cheap pump, I think they are trying to pay for all the ones they're having to replace. And thanks for subscribing.
Thank you Sir! What a great tutorial! I was able to fix my dishwasher in 15 min.
Glad it helped
Wow! What a very thorough step-by-step, descriptive video. That's the way a tutorial Should be made. The Best one I've ever seen. Thank u so very much. Yr Awesome!!
Awesome! Just waiting for the new pump to arrive!
Just ask LG to send you a new DD motor for free. I just did that and fixed my leaking machine.
Very impressive!
Excellent video! I have confidence in replacing my pump. I guess LG doesn't stand behind their 10-year motor. This is the last LG appliance that I will buy.
Glad it helped
Great job!! very helpful. Same problem here on a 4 year old dishwasher; very annoying and obviously a design issue from LG. But worth spending the money on the part. Just hope the new one lasts longer.
Glad it helped
Thanks for the excellent help with our new motor! Perfect instructional videos and commentary! Super helpful.
I'm glad it was helpful, thanks.
Excellent video! I have the same model with exactly the same issue - Good dishwasher which did run well until the noise started. Only about 4-5 years old.
With that cheap seal in the pump I don’t think any of them will make 10 years.
Thanks for making this video. I have that exact model of dishwasher making the exact same noise.
It seems to be a common problem for quite a few models.
The real value of this video is the post mortem and analysis imo.
That was my favorite part too.
Thank you very much! I followed your steps and changed very easily. Thank you very much once again.
Glad it helped!
Thank you for this video! This is exactly what i was looking for!
I'm glad you like it, thanks.
Great and helpful video. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Thanks, mate!
Glad it helped
Great video. I appreciate you doing teardown so we could see failure. I also thought bearing replacement might be possible, but your video shows me too much headache and just replace assembly. Found a NIB pump on ebay for $70 with a manufacturing date of 6 months ago. Hopefully they have revised design or parts so will last longer. Tried to get one free under warranty but they refuse to send me part.
It would be nice if they would improve the seal in the pump. That would maybe get them 10 years from the motor. Thanks for the comment.
How did the pump work out for you? Would you be able to share the posting?
So won't it just eventually happen again with the new part?
Probably, but it does a great job of cleaning dishes.
best repair video ever!!!
Thanks
Amazing, nicely done content.
Much appreciated!
Thanks for the video just fixed mine. LG was help warranty is a scam
Excellent video, thanks.
My dishwasher warranty says 1year, Not 10 years?
Is the pump 10years?
The main motor on ours had a 10-year warranty. The motor is part of the pump assembly. But I would have had to use an authorized LG repair center to get the warranty. And the labor is not under warranty, so it was cheaper to replace it myself. It wouldn't surprise me if LG dropped the 10-motor warranty on later models. If the pump seal didn't leak there is no reason for the motor not to last 10 to 20 years.
Were you able to recover the cost of the pump assembly under warranty? It says it has a 10 year warranty on the motor.
Any idea?
The water heater is on the bottom of the pump. Make sure the connections to the heater are good.
@@metalplasticelectronics354 double checked and both energy connections and temperature sensor are well connected.
I read somewhere that after replacing the pump a kind of reprogramming was needed... Any idea?
@@metalplasticelectronics354 found the solution in this video! ua-cam.com/video/cbQapGQYLDs/v-deo.html. Ater replacing the pump or the main board, the dishwasher may need to be calibrated. For me this worked like a charm!
Great tutorial! If only they made an oversized seal like on ASE axel shafts.
Wow, that sounds horrible. Is there anything stopping you from making an opening to the pump?
I have thought of cutting a hole to access but I think I'm going to try and disassemble from bottom. This link shows someone taking off, it's in another language so can't understand what they are saying. I'll let you know how I go.

We have an old LG unit in our home and 1.5yrs ago I had its pump motor replaced. Now the very same noise has returned, indicating a new motor is required.
Is that to be expected for a daily use unit?
Hi, Need to replace the motor power connector😢 Would you know a part number so I can look up for it?
Awesome and very uselful video.
Thanks!
Ours is doing the same and is only 3 1/2 years olds- and it started months ago. 🙄🤦🏻♀️
Ditto!
We have this same issue and our LG washing machine water inlet valve went out in 3 years. Never buying LG appliances ever again.
Lg dishwashers are very poorly made. Mine had tins of problems. Ae eeor codes, Clogging issues, Circuit board blew, now its making tons of noise.
I think you’re right, the part they sent is called the diverter motor.
Thank you for video!
My pleasure!
Is there any way to get LG to pay for the part under the "10 year warranty"?
I didn’t try, since I pull the motor and pump apart. But I think have to have one of there authorized warranty places replace it. But that involves paying for the labor. And that seems to be more than the price of the pump from what I read.
I got the same unit and the pump motor just come in the mail. I will work on it this weekend.
Mine is 4 1/2 years old.
???? Your's is 6 years old. It has a 10 year warranty.
I called LG and had them ship me the part 100 % no charge.
Very nice. You are the second person who has said LG would send them the pump. I wonder if LG's refrigerator compressors being in the news has made them a little more willing to, let's say, do better.
the first 15 second's has the 10 year motor warranty tag. @@metalplasticelectronics354
SAME DISHWASHER SAME ISSUE. Never again, LG!!
Does anyone sell replacement grommets/seals for this pump? Thinking I can replace it every couple years to be safe.
This is the closest thing I could find when I was going to try and repair the pump. I didn't end up ordering one, so I don't know if it is an actual fit. a.co/d/fzRgX5o
I want to rebuild one what size is the bearing?
It's an NSK 608 bearing.
@@metalplasticelectronics354 same size as a normal skateboard? 8x22x7mm just rubber sealed ? Thank you.
Yes, it seems to be. 608 number ends in D16 only saw DD in NSK catalog.
My 4-year-old ($1000) LG dishwasher just started doing the same thing and then started smoking. Now, it won't even power on. Your thoughts please?
@@metalplasticelectronics354 It was smoking as well.
Probably the wise thing to do.
I watched a guy on YT take one apart and replace the bearings
I was planing on trying to replace the bearing. I think I found the correct pump seal. And the bearing is a standard size bearing. I just didn’t notice how bad the motor shaft had been scarred till I had it torn all apart. It’s not a cheap pump assembly, so if the motor shaft is in good shape I don’t see why the bearing couldn’t be replaced. Would of course need to replace the pump seal, or the new bearing probably wouldn’t last but a couple of months. And thanks for the very nice comments. I really do appreciate it.
Good vid, but if LG's quality was so great, people wouldn't be having all the problems with newer dishwashers. Mine is 2 years old.
I had heard this sound for a year before a dude came to replace the pump, which costed me an extra 700 CAD dollars. A shame for LG if you ask me - after only 3 years!
Yes, LG should be ashamed.
you okay bud you are shaking terribly
Something I've had to deal with for a long time, but thanks for asking.
LG is hurting their brand that is for sure.
