@@GoodVibeCollectingyeah but for some its about the thrill of the journey. Plus a kid would probably value 5 games over a decent watch. I know I would. However nowadays im the complete opposite, and have about 30 watches and sold just about all of my gaming stuff except for a pc and handheld emulator while still enjoying all the games I grew up with more easily than ever. Crazy how times and tech have changed
@@ZackSilver77 Emulation has definitely made things more convenient but nothing beats popping in a cartridge inside a real NES. Bonus if you play on a CRT.
I'm still amazed at the amount of things that were packed into games back in the day, that most of us either forgot about or just didn't know existed. I knew about the watch mail in promo. However I was completely unaware of the small return label that was included.
That's why I'm here. To remind you about something very obscure missing from your games LOL. Glad to see you are still kickin, I was beginning to wonder if something happened.
@GoodVibeCollecting Yep. I'm still alive and well! I've been considering doing a video explaining my absence and the future of my channel, but I just haven't been able to get around to it. I also haven't been collecting. It's become too expensive, and I feel like I'm losing my interest in it. I was actually telling Shawn (Retro Reminiscence) that I've been considering selling it. I haven't made a definitive decision yet, as I don't want to do anything rash and regret it later. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point. 🤔
@@backintheday3097 Believe it or not, the market has come down some. I think all the hype about graded games is slowly going away. I've actually been able to buy a few sealed games again. I'm definitely not selling anytime soon. Not only do I collect games but I actually play them as well.
@GoodVibeCollecting It's not so much that I don't play. But I have all the ROMs on my classic systems, so all my physical copies just sit in a cabinet, not being used. I did see that the prices on some stuff has come down a bit. However the prices on other stuff has really gone up. Have you seen how much the first Mega Man going for??!!
@@backintheday3097 Yeah and that's one that I need. The popular games are still expensive but the games no one cares about have gone down. I get why people are going the everdrive route. Games are to expensive. To me, nothing beats playing the original cartridge on original hardware.
I actually just won all this in an auction on eBay. I got the watch offer, the label, the Tecmo poster, and the Nintendo Power advert for $26 . Does that sound like a good price?
Odd that someone would sell just those and not have the box. $26 sounds good. Each insert is like $10 now which is crazy. I used to buy bundles of inserts for a few bucks each.
@GoodVibeCollecting I happened to be scrolling through eBay the other day, and it just showed up as a "recommended " item. I watched it until the last day and then started bidding. Only got outbid once, before I put in a max of $30. Went to bed expecting to wake up to a notice that I had lost the auction, but was surprised to see that I had won! With tax and shipping, it came out to $33. Which I didn't think was too bad when you consider that you don't see these come up for auction very often. I might do a video showing me adding them to my copy of Ninja Gaiden 2, making it 100% complete.
Might be a dumb question, but if you wanted a complete ninja gaiden 2 would you need the watch and a set of all the unused mailing labels? Or is the watch just a cool extra thing
I want that watch! …They really do look generic. This is a good thing to point out. Someone might not realize
What's funny is with the money you spent on 5 games ($250ish), you could have bought a much nicer watch.

The watch was just an offer. The same watch was offered with other games as well so no, You don't need it.
