I like that you put a Catholic twist on the end times. So many priests are not even speaking about it in their homilies. We need to be prepared for what is to come. We will all bear witness to the wrath of God during the three days of darkness.
As my husband always says if we have food and the people around us don't and they come begging for food what do you do? Feed them, of course. So our little stock pile might not last very long. That's why we don't. God will take care of us. We don't fear. We went through Y2k when so many Christians stock piled out of fear....and look what happened. Nothing. Do nor fear, your heavenly Father knows how to take care of His sheep.

I have 5 children so we are a family of 7. I say similar to others regarding food- store a little extra of what you normally eat and rotate as you go. Nothing is ‘stockpiled’ but we have extra should any shortages occur. It’s just common sense! I love your sensible attitude. Keep up the good work. God bless.

Funny, my grandmother was a mother with a young family during the Great Depression in Kansas . During my childhood, my grandparents stayed with us in Arizona all winter. I remember during their visits we ate rice almost daily especially for breakfast in hot milk, butter and sugar. My mom said they ate a lot of rice when she was a child especially during the Depression.
Things have gone SO BONKERS I have been struggling with going into SHOCK. You hit it on the head Father! I got storage food for me and the neighborhood, thanks God!!! I'm planning on sharing, thanks God!!
Fr. Goring you're not wrong about it being fun to prepare for end times. It makes you take more responsibility for your well-being and forces you to honour God by fending for one's self. Growing your own food and mastering preservation of it is a true blessing and makes you feel more in tune with what God had in mind for us especially when toiling in the garden, making bread, hanging laundry outside. God is so good.

It’s not sinful to stock up and prepare for hard times. It makes one less of a burden when/if those times come. Look after yourself and family, share with others in need, trust in God’s abundance.

I don't care what others think and I have been storing extra food for a while now. I also have blessed candles, holy water and salt. Water for cooking, drinking, etc. will be so important too! So it's much better to be prepared than surprised with a crisis and nothing on hand imho! JMJ, I love you, save souls! Your daughter trusts in You!!

Funny, my grandmother was a mother with a young family during the Great Depression in Kansas . During my childhood, my grandparents stayed with us in Arizona all winter. I remember during their visits we ate rice almost daily especially for breakfast in hot milk, butter and sugar. My mom said they ate a lot of rice when she was a child especially during the Depression.

Fr. Goring you're not wrong about it being fun to prepare for end times. It makes you take more responsibility for your well-being and forces you to honour God by fending for one's self. Growing your own food and mastering preservation of it is a true blessing and makes you feel more in tune with what God had in mind for us especially when toiling in the garden, making bread, hanging laundry outside. God is so good.

Oh how I love my shepards! I'm in Pennsylvania and I enjoy watching and listening to father Gorings messages. I have been trying to grow lettuce and some other vegetables, trying to see how to access water from my well, without electricity. Have a small generator handy for the pump OR better yet, have a second well drilled for a hand pump. I have a generator, but a second well is my plan.

And Yes, stockpile food as Fr. Goring suggests. Don't forget bottled water, canned foods the rice, oatmeal , beans, sugar, salt and other necessities. God's Grace be with us.
It’s not sinful to stock up and prepare for hard times. It makes one less of a burden when/if those times come. Look after yourself and family, share with others in need, trust in God’s abundance.
