Currently I am in New Caledonia, a French Territory in the Pacific that's undergoing an enormous volume of rioting, vandalism, and violence for the last 72+ hours. There is a strong backlash against France at the moment. The French SWAT teams are on their way here, so yes, I can see, on a MACRO level, EXACTLY what you are speaking about Father. In the mean time, on a MICRO level, I have noticed that I am not worried at all about what's going on around me. People are very concerned and stressed around me and cannot sleep. Their reaction is certainly understandable but I couldn't explain why I felt such calm, until I went (although most people were too scared to leave their house) to see the Sisters of the Poor (who take care of the elderly) today since they have so many vulnerable people to take care of with hardly any staff due to the riots. They had the same peace despite the circumstances and then it clicked. It's like we are in a protected bubble thanks to frequent mass, confession, rosary, fasting at least once or twice a week, and meditating on the bible. Let's fast, pray, and offer sacrifices for the eldest daughter of the Church (France) and the rest of the world!

Holy Mass, Reading Scripture, Rosary, Fasting, Confession... those are our protective bubble where peace can be felt despite all the insanity whirling around us.. God Bless you and be safe.

I turned my back on Ireland for a while once they did that! I was so proud to be of Irish heritage while the nation held out against abortion, but was so very shocked when the vote came in! I am reassessing my attitude towards her lately. I still pray they don't go the way of France and make it a full fledged "right" to murder children in the womb.

I can’t remember when, but there was a story on the news that a former Canadian veteran who served in the armed forces and was suffering from depression, ptsd, and whatever else, called the government hotline for mental health support/help, and instead the government employee suggested that he should consider MAID. How awful is that? The government really is trying to reduce our numbers.

I gave up two bad addictions of late one in 2019 the other in 2023 as reparation for past sins , I get very tired from spiritual battles and I need to pray more for protection from the evil one .. praise be the lord for he is good and pure of heart .
I gave up alcohol. I did not want to greet our Father under the influence. Since we know not the day or the hour, but I think it is coming, I asked for help and the Lord sent it. Blessed be.

Ask for prayer from others. Ask for the Saints to pray for you too and intercede. Go to confession regularly and take communion which will strengthen you. When your tired, rest your heart and spirit in Jesus, spend time in adoration. For protection, ask your guardian Angel and St.Michael to defend you in battle. The rosary will shield you from evil. That shameful law was passed on the day of my birthday. As a Frenchman and catholic it was terrible. It was the worst birthday of my life so far. I've spent it mostly alone in a hospital, I didn't see any friends. I left the hospital in a hurry after I had a tumor removed from my back. At least it wasn't a cancer, praised be Jesus Christ.

Good afternoon, our family prays the rosary every night and our intentions have become longer than the rosary itself. We will continue to add more intentions for y’all my brothers and sisters.
I’m trying to start praying the rosary between 3-4 am every day too. It’s a struggle but we do need to make a sacrifice for our brothers and sisters.

I seems to me that the world is worse than ever with horrible sins becoming laws in the US and other places. The Fatima warnings are coming true. The basic unit of society in every culture is the family and it is under vicious attack. I pray an hour a day now that I am retired and have time. I pray for my family and all families. I try to go to Mass every day in reparation for the horrible sins in the modern world. Thanks for good and brave priests like you to teach us.
Yes. It’s getting really bad. You know it is when males can identify as females and enter into their sports, changing rooms, sororities, prisons, etc. We now have legalized same-sex unions, marriages. And if they have children, how do the kids know who is mom, and who is dad.

Wholeheartedly agree God or our guardian angel is talking to us through what is going on around us. Agree He does chastise us and we are wise to submit and repent as opposed to complain and rebel.

Father Mark, I can attest to this even in my own life. I always prepare and dispose myself properly to the Father whenever I go into prayer. I go to confession monthly and sometimes more frequently because I want to be in a state of a clean heart, so that I can receive the graces from God. In most cases I am asking Him for discernment and guidance. And I will tell you he always gives me MUCH MORE than I ask for, in complete surprise and wonderment. For me this is a testament of His boundless love for us. All He ever asks, is to come to Him with a contrite heart and a willingness to obey and follow His will. It is so beautiful to me, words cannot describe, the gifts He has given me, and now every time I sin, I feel so distraught that I separated myself from Him. But I never despair and seek another chance to confess my sins. Our Father in heaven, Our Most Merciful Father, always waits for us to come and ask for forgiveness. He loves unimaginably in our small minds. I wish and I pray Father Mark we could make everyone understand this, but sometimes I feel I get better results talking to a brick wall! May God Bless you and Our Mother in Heaven keep you under the mantle of protection!

Quiet time in prayer and listening attentively to Jesus with hope, love and joy. Rest your head on His chest and with every heartbeat hear Him say I love you, I love you, I love you. Feel the warmth of His heart melt away any anxiety, any anguish. Feel Him enkindle the fire of your love. Your love for Him, your love for others.
Sometimes our cross is loving others who aren't so loving. We are all created by God. Try to see that part of them and embrace your cross with the confidence that Jesus is with you and sees everything. From the macro to the micro. Have Mercy on us now and forever.

I believe we can sense when we step outside of God’s grace and when we step back in. There is a sense I have certainly had , when I have felt an absence of him in my life, sort of like driving to a destination and realizing I took a wrong road. Something did not feel right and I knew it. Thank God I can tell the difference and get back on the road again.

You’re right about God rewarding when we do what we should. I have never.been very good about daily prayers. However I saw your video about saying 7 prayers in 2 minutes and I said the prayers and timed them and it really does only take 2 minutes. I got my husband to join me and we say those 7 prayers plus 3 Hail Marys which takes another 2 minutes every day. I put together some other prayers that take 8 minutes. I don’t say them every day but at least 2-3 times per week which was what I intended. Then I have 8-10 minutes worth of prayers just to be said on Fridays as our Friday penance.
