Meditation is one of my favorite pieces. Having just devoured numerous versions on UA-cam I found this one. It, unlike many others, evokes the true majestic beauty of Massenet's Meditation. Bravo!!
100%. Very similar to the arrangement recorded by the Mosfilm Orchestra. Mosfilm incorporated a flute as well. Perhaps my favorite piece of all time, especially when done like this.
It's as if Massenet reached out to the muse of absolute musical purity to find the melody to make every heart feel its blessing. The Meditation is always most beautiful when heard with the soft tones of the choir.
I was introduced to this piece in Boston over a half century ago in a memorial tribute to the great French conductor Pierre Monteux, a former conductor of the BSO. Since then I have heard it in many arrangements and venues, and this is one of the best. Thanks for posting it.

Massenet a déifié sa méditation .merci c'est toujours une immense joie de réécouter ce morceau choisi , et cette méditation nous rapproche du spirituel dont nous avons tous tant besoin.
