I think you mixed up Prot War and Guardian for FC tank, in rated BG's I tried so hard tank as a druid and 2000+ rating teams would not take me. Prot war was mandatory. Even with max stam/res gems enchants and all, I died easier than prot war. They had stornger survival and still good mobility with heroic leap.

it's been a ride 😁 but if you watch back - I used to say the same things about PvP back then too, I just sound better now with the microphone 😅😅 my favorites are always big weapon plate classes for real men - paladin, DK, warrior 😎
I loved playing dot cleaves, Aff lock, spriest, boomkin add an extra sprirest or aff lock for cleanse protect. Add a good melee cleave like arms warrior or unholy dk and just watch everyone absolutely melt.. only works if everyone knows how to actually maintain dots well which surprisingly hard with pugs.
DoTs are the king in BGs, definitely

Makes a 2s comp tier list for cata , there’s 0 info for 2s comps, even if ur not super spot on just from what u observed from p servers ud get 50k plus views within a month or so
definitely on my list, I have easily played like 10 thousand arena games in the 10 year span of playing Cata, seeing how it evolved, so there'll be a loooot to talk about! 😏

master frost is definitely the way to go for BGs, Resilient Infection could actually be pretty OP when you spread your Frost Fever with Howling blast on many enemies and then an enemy priest mass dispels it, definitely worth a try, I have never tried it myself, but I like the way you're thinking

There are no easy ranged classes that would be good, you could play hunter for BGs and just snipe everyone, wheb you ingore CCing others then it would be a very easy playstyle, Marksmanship spec of course

there's no single best, I personally don't like MoP as much as Cata or WotLK

9/10 people you ask will answer it based on their favorite classes not being as strong as they'd like.
I'd put shadow 1 tier lower since it's just not on par in dmg with all the other casters in S. MD is great but without being the target, their mana makes them fall behind the longer the fight lasts.
Same with hunter since if it doesn't defend a base, they have to move themselves (dangerous) or their pet (damage sponge) forward to set up a cc on healers.
BM and survival are absolute dogshit in rated bgs. Black arrow being dispellable and pet dying to anything against well organized team make those specs completely useless. If low lvl bgs are a factor then so are randoms but the list would look completely different if we count those.
For example warrior can easily compete with anybody in dmg besides moonkins and eles with good PvE and warrior with pocket healer will easily be team's MVP in non-rated. Even in rateds I'd still put them at least on par with ret just because they can do much more when paired with gripping DK or bombing rogue than any other melee than those 2.
Feral's value drowns without CTF mode, becoming literally budget rogue. A tier at the very best in my opinion. Still good base defender because, primarily because it's big counter to rogues.
good points, it is overall BGs - rated, nonrated, low and high lvl, nobody would watch separate videos for each situation I don't think, warrior would do well if that healer did nothing else but dispel the warrior, BM and Surv as good on low lvl as bad they are at the endgame, so it's hard to then rank them for overall performance, and in random BGs even F tier classes can still do good
@@MEYTRIX Well, that's the problem with this list. You use double standards depending on which spec you're talking about. Frost mage is great for leveling and in randoms since your deep+orb+CS can kill 97% of targets you'll ever meet in randoms but not useful in rateds. Affli is the opposite, it's amazing only in rateds, only good in randoms and sucks for low lvl. Warrior in randoms is A tier even without a healer thanks to high damage, countering fears thus being priest/lock killer, bladestorm that is basically a melee Combustion and victory rush. Those are just examples.

hey Deshiz, Whitemane Maelstrom is the most popular, but Whitemane also plans to release a fresh Cata realm in early 2024, after Maelstrom's progression is over so that might likely kill Maelstrom, overall - there's probably no Cata realm that would live with over a thousand players for more than a year either way 😮💨

Man I'm sad to hear about combat and assassination rogue. I really love the mobile stacking dots and going toe to toe with someone playstyle. But I despise the stun-locking playstyle of Sub. Was really banking on playing combat
I have question, on Firestorm server in most cases it needs for NPC'S few minutes to appear, i have RTX 3050 16 GB RAM and fine internet connection so it shouldn't be problem with my laptop, is this usually thing on Firestorm or i need to optimize some settings?
I think it’s with the newer expansions, hard to say what exactly it is, but I don’t think it’s about the performance

Boomie top for RBGs but lackluster in 2v2 (still great for 3v3 though), DK is very good for any pvp, and mage too (fire much better for RBG)

@@drzuk7846 yeah there is always at least 1 OP spec for mages, fire is amazing even for PvE so always welcome in raid groups, and it's AoE with Combustion if set up correctly is crazy in both - 3v3 and RBGs

You are absolutely wrong on BM hunters, they are number 1 in BGs.

nope, I have a few MoP related PvP videos but not for BGs specifically
im playing cata from 3 months, only bgs and i gota say that frost mage is deff a S tier. People just do frost bolt for 35k and then ice lance for another 35k and basically with 1 cast for like a second they do 70k which is the highest anyone hits me for.
Fire mage put a lot more pressure, and all the other top range dps have a lot of reliable damage, Dots…. Frost mage isn’t bad, just not as good as the others
@@Boomix5555 I tried shadow priest. Fought a ret Pala and the guy just spammed cleanese to remove them and after 2 minute battle I did 0 dmg because all my smg comes from dots that he removes with a spell that is spamable and costs no mana
Why fire mage better than frost mage at Cataclysm ?
Frost mage has no AoE so for BGs fire us much better with its living bombs, fire blasts and combustions

don't really agree with frost mage being in F but could be wrong.
in Rated BG, it is pretty much useless in comparison to other classes/specs, however, in random BGs - anything can be good since it's casual gameplay and many ppl have no idea what to do even
So who's the FC? Prot warriors? I think that was it.

hey thanks for the video! was thinking I'd main priest in cata but this makes me think I should rather level my paladin I guess. was expecting disc to be higher up.
if you play disc with a sub rogue, feral or frost mage, it can still do amazingly well, but it relies on their support a lot in arena, in BGs you still have that mass dispel and leap of faith, there are just better specs than disc overall but that doesn't mean it's not good
It's just an aggressive spec compared to resto shaman and holy paladin. In 2s feral/disc is easily the best healer comp and rogue or mage with disc are still very competitive. In 3s and especially battlegrounds your toolkit is just much harder to use, you can't randomly rush for fears or MC/burn without being interrupted. And your healing is just weak, since all the things that make it heal well in PvE scenarios are unplayable in PvP scenarios, thus your healing with many targets is lacking.

@MEYTRIX invis past mid, grab zerk, pom sheep healer into cs, efc gets 3 shot game over. Do you know who ABN is? R1 rbg lead and is arcane. I'm 2600xp multiclass and arcane is a great addition if you already have a fire mage. He's like a bunker buster. Unhealable dmg.
In cata prot warrior was the best FC you cannot put it into F tier lol.
Hardly best, I played Cata for 10 years, nobody wanted prot warriors in BGs

my opinion: ret is F in rateds. bubble gets MD'd and poof youre dead
disc S tier, perfect rbg healer setup = holy pala, resto druid, disc priest.
also nobody wants a hunter in their rated team
don't forget ret also has Sacred Shield which can absorb toooons of damage, disc is good, idk if S tier, the holy pal/r druid combo is way higher IMO, hunter is top tier in random BGs, not as amazing in rateds though, I agree there
isn't MM hunter like S tier in everything pvp related in Cata? one of the best in rated bgs and 2/3s?

You can leave out any class and still do well, there’s so many BG classes in S and A tier
@@MEYTRIX but we left them out simply because theyre whack. Especially in 4.3.4. its all about boomkins. We used to run triple boomkin teams on warmane neltharion. 3x cunning is just too much pressure

it's not S in 1v1 😅 in BGs you usually find in crowds of people, many times with healers on your back and do a lot of AoE, that is the major difference between a 1v1 tier list, arena tier list and BG tier list

About 80% of it still counts for MoP too, and I made a PvP dps tier list for it, so that might help you getting an idea

Most annoying classes to face in battleground are imo bm hunter, fire mage and feral.
don't forget rogues spam sapping you and never actually showing up to fight 🤐
Fire I can understand but the other 2? As a BM if you need to withdraw your pet or it just dies - you feel like an NPC. And feral has no dmg with a lot of target switching.
@@Reality-Distortion Feral have insta cyclone, great burst during zerk and also is unpeelable for most classes. Bm hunter is huge pain to deal with during his cds.
@@PedroGonzalesJr-k1s Those features are nothing compared to strengths of actually good bg specs.
Like I said, hunter's pet will most of the time just get massive cock in the face and you need to withdraw him often to give him time to heal. And when you don't have cds as a hunter, it may often just afk in aoe roots and fears.
Feral's burst doesn't even stand out when Berserk has to compete with Gargoyle, Shadowdance, Conbustion, Elemental Mastery, Zaelotry or in case of bgs even Reck+Bladestorm. Ferals lack any ccbreaks and immunities so they aren't particularly hard to peel. Also most rangeds in the game during cata don't have really great CC toolkit, so "most classes" isn't very telling in the first place. Instant cyclones are gamebreaking in arena, definitely not in big scale fights.
As an ele shaman i believe they are F tier not S. A rogue cheap shots ...you thunderstorm...they shadowstep and you die. If your not a 3k rated god. Theres zero you can do to outplay ...and it will happen a LOT (if theyre allowed to free cast and are never attacked. Then yeah sure but thats not good imo)
What you’re talking about is 1v1, this video is concerning BGs where it’s more about multiple enemies, some healers etc

Youre misunderstanding how tierlists works. Ypu CANT have S tier be the tier with the most classes - that would by default make it A tier. S tier is for the classes that goes ocer smd beyond. Its so much worse that u have an empty tier so the solution is LITERALLY staring you right in the face. Move everything down a tier and fixed.
Thanks for your feedback but I disagree - you can have whatever in the particulsr tier and you can also have an empty tier if the gap between the classes is so large

You can still have a lot of fun playing it nonetheless, it will be frustrating at times, but it’s still a very enjoyable playstyle, you can outplay people in random BGs easily
putting prot paladin at F clearly shows you know absolutely nothing about cata pvp. Prot paladins ruled in bgs with demon locks

@@florinbadescu9711 AoE is important, but it’s not the only factor, frost mages are good in casual BGs, just like almost any other spec, different story against premades and rated BGs
