I just bought an 08 and I flippin love it! First Lexus/luxury car I’ve ever owned. This beast was definitely ahead of its time with all the features. The one I bought has 275k miles on it but was extremely well maintained. It needs a couple things but nothing major. I’m definitely sold on Lexus cars. I’ll always have one now lol
Excellent review. I’ve had a 96 ls400 for 9 years. It was recently t boned by a ram 2500 at 60mph on my driver side. The center pillar replaced my seat completely. I somehow survived and whats even more crazy I only suffered a fractured rib,shoulder, and a swollen spleen. No surgery needed. I miss it so much and I think one of these ls460s will be a perfect replacement.
I just did a full tone up this week at the 108K miles for my 2008 model , replaced control arms front , water pump and thermostat , fuel pump gasket and O-rings , radiator , air filters , fuel injector and resurfaced the rotor for total of $4770 at my local trusted mechanic shop . He said it should be good for another ten years ! Interior was replaced free by Lexus because had issues with high temp, interior like new car now . This was the only high cost since I bought it in 2009 ! So what do you think ? I had a 2010 S550 costed me over $20K over 3 years of ownership before I sold it , such a European garbage !
My Daughter has a 2017 LS460.. She has a new interior due to the same heated seats temp. control going haywire. Lexus re-upholstered and replaced the seating surfaces front and rear. The leather part of the steering wheel after re programming whatever was wrong with that particular feature. $11,100 wort of work all covered. I was impressed..A five year old paid off Car, with the new car smell😊..
I purchased a 2011 LS 460 L in July with 100,000 miles. I thoroughly researched this car first. Let me say; it's above and beyond what I ever thought. It is so heavy and solid, but floats on air, quiet, powerful if need be. I could go on forever. Couldn't be happier with this car. Get one 👍

I bought a 08 LS 460 corporate car was taking to Dealership every 5k miles I have all the paperwork for it. 94k miles best car i have ever owned I got all the fluids changed when I got it Trans fluid flush, Rear differential fluid, new radiator, also I got Lexus dealer in Memphis to order a whole new interior under the CSP ZLZ program I'm waiting on to free. Car is amazing how I got to a LS 460 for my GF.

From ‘07-‘12 the ls460 had minor changes but not much (rear & front light changes and front face lifts from ‘10-‘12 models). ‘06 was the last year of the ls430 generation.
If you don't like the look of that screen for the radio look up v line 2 for lexus. It's about 600 dollars but it will update the look of the radio to close to now

@@borushiki6722 it only has bluetooth for phone calls. You need to install and adapter for music either through the aux connection or an aftermarket adapter like the v line. I went with vline.
@@borushiki6722 about $680 American. but its one of the best options since it keeps everything looking factory. You get bluetooth audio, android auto, and carplay. some other things too but those are the main ones.
Nice video and beautiful car, I have a '14 LS, Matador red w/ peanut butter interior. One thing though, be mindful of the control arms on this vehicle, they are the largest known defect on this generation, and dealers charge 4 to 6,000 dollars to fix them....and they will almost definitely go bad on every single car.
Haha my 2016 Toyota 4Runner's Infotainment system looks similar. Toyota (Lexus) does seem to not care about that. Then again, when you keep their vehicles for a long time, stuff like that tends to not matter as much as time goes on.
That CSP ZLZ last till March 2021 all u have to do is call nearest Lexus dealer and give them VIN number and they tell u if ur car qualifying it's all free
@@Edmac12 it's Customer Support Program they put in place in 2018 I just called my Lexus dealer and gave them my VIN number and she said my car was eligible for 9 interior trim pieces to be replaced for free all four door panels, dash, trim under left steering wheel, trim under center console, glove box door and console in rear. I will see if I can find that document again ok

I have my brake actuator fixed from Lexus it cost me 3K so I know what you’re talking about and those control arms well there’s so many so I wouldn’t tell anyone so make sure whoever you’re buying a car from took care of it other than that car is great

Not sure if previous owner had the warranty enhancement completed so I might be walking on eggshells. If it lasts me until I can be on Summer break from college classes and can have a job to save up for that repair then I’ll consider that a win. I love the car otherwise. Also, if you’re handy with tools, I HIGHLY recommend doing the control arms yourself. I did them myself with self-taught experience and common hand tools and it was pretty easy. SAVED, THOUSANDDDDDSSSSSSS. No brainer

Yo I'm just saying parts are not cheap for this car. New air struts will cost thousands new control arms will cost thousands and new a braking system will cost thousands and all of these things tend to happen to these cars.
Great car but parts of this video are very misleading and full of misinformation. This car is a flagship product, the parts are far from cheap, and labour is also high unless you find an independent mechanic. Even then, the same repair on this car could take longer compared to a more mainstream product. Clearly this dude has neither owned this car or any Lexus product. The advantage is that the car rarely breaks, but if it does, it’s no different than any Mercedes or BMW cost wise. Those cars are also more prone to catastrophic failures, where as this isn’t. You probably won’t see many 10k+ repair bills but something like a brake actuator is still 3-4 grand. If you don’t know shit about the mechanics, then don’t speak on it as if you know how to maintain a car like this. Google is also free.
Before coming across this video (1st) and 2 others, I knew nothing about this big beautiful behemoth of a car! I was all about SUV's and Pickup trucks. I had two Ford Explorers that I absolutely love(d) to this very day, and wouldn't mind getting that 2009 Eddie Bauer again. V8 of course! Lol! It's been about 3 years since I've ran across this video and I still haven't taken the first step to getting a LS. VERY PRICEY.🥲IDC!! I WANT IT!😭I've done soo much research about Lexus in general, I even ran across it's neglected baby baby cousin. The Hyundai Equus. I absolutely love it buuut... it's just not... a LS.😩After all the research I've done, I've stubbornly made up my mind that sooner than later I will be getting a 2012-2017 Lexus LS or a damn Chrysler 300. Just picked up one two days ago....So far so good the tire pressure system needs to be reset otherwise it was serviced by Lexus 39 times.

That's the traction control light, have you checked to see if it's enabled? The only major repair I'd look out for is the brake actuator.

The advantage is that the car rarely breaks, but if it does, it’s no different than any Mercedes or BMW cost wise. Those cars are also more prone to catastrophic failures, where as this isn’t. You probably won’t see many 10k+ repair bills but something like a brake actuator is still 3-4 grand. If you don’t know shit about the mechanics, then don’t speak on it as if you know how to maintain a car like this. Google is also free.

Before coming across this video (1st) and 2 others, I knew nothing about this big beautiful behemoth of a car! I was all about SUV's and Pickup trucks. I had two Ford Explorers that I absolutely love(d) to this very day, and wouldn't mind getting that 2009 Eddie Bauer again. V8 of course! Lol! It's been about 3 years since I've ran across this video and I still haven't taken the first step to getting a LS. VERY PRICEY.🥲IDC!! I WANT IT!😭I've done soo much research about Lexus in general, I even ran across it's neglected baby baby cousin. The Hyundai Equus. I absolutely love it buuut... it's just not... a LS.😩After all the research I've done, I've stubbornly made up my mind that sooner than later I will be getting a 2012-2017 Lexus LS or a damn Chrysler 300. If I have to drop $30k+ for the LS OFW! This car brand has stole my heart and I can't shake it.
