As a cancer survivor, my dog gave me so many kisses and she helped me by just being with me. Giving animals affection is not gross, they are just making sure that you know that you are theirs !!
As a cancer survivor myself, my dog was by my side every day, wouldn't leave my side. I called her mama dog during that time. My mom had passed away some years ago, so my schnauzer filled that gap! My husband was amazing in helping me during treatment too. I always have had a deep connection of hugs and kisses with my cats, dogs and birds over the years. The joy they always show and love they return a million times over is worth everything. We need more of that in this world!
I'm going through cancer treatment now so I completely see how he is stuck to me like glue as you well know fatigue will knock you out the other day after treatment I slept for 17 hrs and he never left me side not to eat drink he went bathroom once I feel bad but he only wants to be with his momma
We adopted a dog from our local humane society. Her name is Eve, it took months but this dog came around and fell in love with me. We have such a tight bond❤ I love her like she is my child and i always kiss her on top of her head.❤🐶❤️😍.

I've definitely noticed over and over that Lee has face to face contact w his rescues at the 1st meeting. It seems like its a strategy to tell the new dog he's trustworthy; he's a friend; & let's them know he's there for them forever.

The title cracked me up, I know exactly why you let your dogs kiss you. My biggest dog has been by my side since he was 4 weeks old. He runs off to play for a few minutes then comes back to me to sniff my face and touch me and see where I’m at then he goes to play again. I understand ,because my dogs are my family too and if your heart says to kiss them, please do. people might not be able to understand, but that's their problem. I grew up very "horse and hound" but admittedly no one I knew as a child would let the dogs kiss their face. 🤷♀️😘At one point in my life I started to let them just because I noticed, especially working with rescues, that it is their way of connecting. I think this is like they like to smell each other's butts they like to get as close to their human's face and smooch/snuggle. So, admittedly, sometimes larger breeds slobber a lot and I do have a slight gross-out factor with that I will always carry some type of washcloths but in general I do let them smooch!
My grandpa always told me to keep my face away from a dog's face. I get it b/c you could scare them and they could bite. But a trusted pet that you feel safe with, whatever. It's worth the risk haha My chihuahua would sometimes kiss, sometimes snarl...he was a brat but I still loved him.

Since my dog was a puppy I’ve been letting her give me kisses and I’ve never felt so much love from one little peanut and now she is 14 years old she is a jack russel and lab mix and she’s happy and healthy , she is my best friend and I love her like she is my child .What you do is the most amazing and kindest thing I’ve seen ,you must have the biggest heart ,and the kindest soul I do so much appreciate you again and what do. Isn't it how dogs show affection? I Love getting kissed from my dogs and so do my kids. The stuff these animals go thru before you get them is bad and seeing them getting and giving affection warms my heart. Keep doing what you do Lee.
My favorite place is that soft, velvety, googly place where their whiskers grow! And they love it when you get weird & funny when kissing it. Dogs have great senses of humor & so love when their human can open up & be funky with them...they can get a little crazy in response to your authentic joy! lol. Personally, I'm not wild about a tongue in my laughing mouth, but it happens😝...and the world keeps turning...hahaha, yuck 😮😉😅.

My rescue Jack Russell was very wary of any human contact when we got her. It took literally years to get her to be happy with being handled, and then only by me. Now she loves her extended human family, and even puts up with their huge dog ! She greets me every morning (even when I am fast asleep) with doggy snuffles and lots of kisses. What a great way to start the day.

When I open that door, I am immediately accosted by a bunch of super excited wiggly butt puppers, all clambering to be the first to give and get kisses. You are an angel sent from above. When I was 7 I had an operation on my foot and my black lab and me had a conspiracy. When parents weren’t around I would let Tiger lick my wire stitches because everyone knows dogs have an enzyme in their saliva that heals their own wounds. 50 some odd years later, it’s never harmed me to let any of my puppers lick my wounds. My puppers are my children just like yours are to you. Love and kindness, not hate and bitterness. Peace and love to you!

Exactly. If a dog kisses you, and you snuggle back - well aren't we the lucky ones ? With all the talk of how unhygeinic it is, I;'e never seen anyone actualy report that they caught an infection or disease from kissing a dog.
I’m sick and she sleeps next to me and snuggles. We protect each other and she gets kisses and belly rubs and as much love as I can make up to her that she didn’t get in her early years.

We have 2 rescues.. they both wash our faces, and the daschund like to clean our nostrils (which he has done since we got him as a 9 week old puppy..no amount of saying no has stopped him). Apparently, with both dogs, there is a breed in the mix that makes grooming a sign of love.. so we let them groom us :)
My favourite kisses have always been my Pomeranians. He wraps his paws on my cheeks and smothers me in the passionate loving kisses. He does it most in the morning, late at night, when I’m sad, when I sing or when I laugh. I know it’s his way of saying ‘Mum I love you’. I’ve had so many people say I shouldn’t let him kiss my lips. But I couldn’t care less. He’s my child ❤️ so you have a lot of followers who completely understand. True animal lovers completely get it.
Our 1 1/2 year old puppy Pepper does this she is a real kisser. Every time we go to bed she has to give me a ton of kisses and any other dog that comes around gets kisses too. If you look at wolf packs,painted dog packs,foxes,etc this is how they great eachother and it strengthens the packs bond and for the younger ones it's how they get fed fresh meat before they join the hunts. I think it is beautiful the connection he has with his pack.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Well....wolfs dont kiss, like people tend to belive... A wolf expert told that wolfs do more like a "search" for what you have been eating,to the extend they want to check IN your mouth,and it is also a "imma boss" thing. Wolfs isnt especially loving at all , if one study a pack. They protect their offspring, but only until their "teens". Then they are a high risc of being thrown out of the pack. Its a hiearky thing. It can be pretty brutal. From all the science and study ive read about wolfs , and then about dogs,i have to say im sure about ONE thing. Wolfs and dogs are put out like very similar, but when one look into behaviour, they are suprisingly different. I think dogs have lived/been with human for so long, they are /have developed into significantly different. Not the look, but behaviour. Dogs even have emphaty! Wolfs hasnt. (When i see how the lowest in the hiarky in a pack is treated ....its hard to watch, its brutal , to keep it simpel). (I have wolfs right outside my door. My dog is,as all dogs,a huge provocations for wolfs. A lot of dogs have been attacked and killed,even in our yards...I even know a guy who had a wolf try to attack his dog WHILE the owner was there/held the leash. Thankfully the dog owner got his dog into car ,in a hurry. And also thankfully,thats not a everyday experience...). Dogs are soft ,loving , and as mentioned,they have a lot of empathy. Wolfs dont have it (and it wouldnt function well,alongside their way of living either). They are not loving (even in captivity they arent loving , as a dog, all science is very clear. The wolf keeper in sweden, she had bottle fed all the wolfs in a pack , from when puppys(, in a sanctuary /not wild.) But they killed her, anyway, when she forgot to be careful ). A dog wouldnt do that. A dog would more likely protect theyr owner with their own life. Why i tell all this? Because im so frustrated over all propaganda, making people act/talk/think like wolfs are like dogs. I dont hate wolfs , they should be allowed to be as they are , without us human trying to make them to be different / like dogs, when they are so very different. We should respect that wolfs are wild animals with extremly strong instinct, and we shouldnt own them even if we think they are cool. I mean , there are half breed wolfs who have been put down because they couldnt live like a dog... all because humans wanted a wolf looking dog. Thats just wrong! Dogs love kisses. Wolfs certanly dont ! Just had to point this out. (Sorry about the broken english )
I'm a dog groomer and trainer, and dog kisses are essential to my job. It's a vital form of communication between us, I need to do it to reassure and bond with my dogs. Dogs lick to signal that things are cool and OK and they're not a threat, so that's why I kiss my clients. Lee is so good at nonverbal communication with his dogs, I've taken courses on it and I still learn more watching Lee interact with the pack than I did in years of training.
You can see them visibly change when you give them kisses, especially some of the rescues that were so scared or just beaten down, that kiss meant a lot. I always do kisses with my babies.
I went to Costco a couple weeks ago with my neighbor and her service dog, Beck.A lovable Bernese Mountain dog.All I saw was a sea of people, and I felt irritated for a moment, then I imagine the people being a sea of dogs, and life felt better, and Beck, my sweet neighbors dog kept her eye on me throughput the store, helping me be calm.And I love the dog kisses. What a gift, to live your dream and share it. with us
I laughed more during this video than any other of your videos that I remember! You tell em Lee!! I have always kissed my babies and always will. I have kissed dogs in front of some people who say "you KISS them on the MOUTH???!!" To which I reply, "Yes, and so far I don't think I have made any of THEM sick! LOL. They have fewer germs in their mouths than we do and are therefore at greater risk from us than we from them!! My mother used to say that some people are just "nasty nice".

I’m 68 and I’ve been getting puppy kisses from my dogs for 63 years now. Every dog has been a member of my family who lives in the house with me, sleeps with me, eats with me, and goes with me most everywhere that it’s allowed.
Folks: Human mouths are SO much more dirty and bacteria filled than dogs’!!! I’m glad I’m among those who “get” the expression of love between you and your babies, Lee. It’s an honor to witness, and I’m grateful you’re willing to share moments between you and your family.

My grandpa always told me to keep my face away from a dog's face. I get it b/c you could scare them and they could bite. But a trusted pet that you feel safe with, whatever. It's worth the risk haha My chihuahua would sometimes kiss, sometimes snarl...he was a brat but I still loved him.
Those people that are complaining about the kissing don’t matter to you or any body else, so you do you!

Since my dog was a puppy I’ve been letting her give me kisses and I’ve never felt so much love from one little peanut and now she is 14 years old she is a jack russel and lab mix and she’s happy and healthy , she is my best friend and I love her like she is my child .What you do is the most amazing and kindest thing I’ve seen ,you must have the biggest heart ,and the kindest soul I do so much appreciate you again and what do. My favorite place is that soft, velvety, googly place where their whiskers grow! And they love it when you get weird & funny when kissing it. Dogs have great senses of humor & so love when their human can open up & be funky with them...they can get a little crazy in response to your authentic joy! lol. Personally, I'm not wild about a tongue in my laughing mouth, but it happens😝...and the world keeps turning...hahaha, yuck 😮😉😅.

My rescue Jack Russell was very wary of any human contact when we got her. It took literally years to get her to be happy with being handled, and then only by me. Now she loves her extended human family, and even puts up with their huge dog ! She greets me every morning (even when I am fast asleep) with doggy snuffles and lots of kisses. What a great way to start the day.

When I open that door, I am immediately accosted by a bunch of super excited wiggly butt puppers, all clambering to be the first to give and get kisses. I let them kiss me all over my face, and I kiss them on their faces. I love my dogs as my children, and I show them love and affection like my human kids❤️❤️

You are an angel sent from above. When I was 7 I had an operation on my foot and my black lab and me had a conspiracy. When parents weren’t around I would let Tiger lick my wire stitches because everyone knows dogs have an enzyme in their saliva that heals their own wounds. 50 some odd years later, it’s never harmed me to let any of my puppers lick my wounds. My puppers are my children just like yours are to you. Love and kindness, not hate and bitterness. Peace and love to you!

Exactly. If a dog kisses you, and you snuggle back - well aren't we the lucky ones ? With all the talk of how unhygeinic it is, I;'e never seen anyone actualy report that they caught an infection or disease from kissing a dog.
I’m sick and she sleeps next to me and snuggles. We protect each other and she gets kisses and belly rubs and as much love as I can make up to her that she didn’t get in her early years.
We kiss our dogs and one of mine just needs to kiss, it’s just his favorite thing to do.

We have 2 rescues.. they both wash our faces, and the daschund like to clean our nostrils (which he has done since we got him as a 9 week old puppy..no amount of saying no has stopped him). Apparently, with both dogs, there is a breed in the mix that makes grooming a sign of love.. so we let them groom us :)

My favourite kisses have always been my Pomeranians. He wraps his paws on my cheeks and smothers me in the passionate loving kisses. He does it most in the morning, late at night, when I’m sad, when I sing or when I laugh. I know it’s his way of saying ‘Mum I love you’. I’ve had so many people say I shouldn’t let him kiss my lips. But I couldn’t care less. He’s my child ❤️ so you have a lot of followers who completely understand. True animal lovers completely get it.
Our 1 1/2 year old puppy Pepper does this she is a real kisser. Every time we go to bed she has to give me a ton of kisses and any other dog that comes around gets kisses too. If you look at wolf packs,painted dog packs,foxes,etc this is how they great eachother and it strengthens the packs bond and for the younger ones it's how they get fed fresh meat before they join the hunts. I think it is beautiful the connection he has with his pack.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

A wolf expert told that wolfs do more like a "search" for what you have been eating,to the extend they want to check IN your mouth,and it is also a "imma boss" thing.
Wolfs isnt especially loving at all , if one study a pack. They protect their offspring, but only until their "teens". Then they are a high risc of being thrown out of the pack. Its a hiearky thing. It can be pretty brutal.
From all the science and study ive read about wolfs , and then about dogs,i have to say im sure about ONE thing. Wolfs and dogs are put out like very similar, but when one look into behaviour, they are suprisingly different. I think dogs have lived/been with human for so long, they are /have developed into significantly different. Not the look, but behaviour.
Dogs even have emphaty! Wolfs hasnt. (When i see how the lowest in the hiarky in a pack is treated ....its hard to watch, its brutal , to keep it simpel).
(I have wolfs right outside my door. My dog is,as all dogs,a huge provocations for wolfs. A lot of dogs have been attacked and killed,even in our yards...I even know a guy who had a wolf try to attack his dog WHILE the owner was there/held the leash. Thankfully the dog owner got his dog into car ,in a hurry. And also thankfully,thats not a everyday experience...).
Dogs are soft ,loving , and as mentioned,they have a lot of empathy. Wolfs dont have it (and it wouldnt function well,alongside their way of living either). They are not loving (even in captivity they arent loving , as a dog, all science is very clear. The wolf keeper in sweden, she had bottle fed all the wolfs in a pack , from when puppys(, in a sanctuary /not wild.) But they killed her, anyway, when she forgot to be careful ). A dog wouldnt do that. A dog would more likely protect theyr owner with their own life.
Why i tell all this?
Because im so frustrated over all propaganda, making people act/talk/think like wolfs are like dogs.
I dont hate wolfs , they should be allowed to be as they are , without us human trying to make them to be different / like dogs, when they are so very different. We should respect that wolfs are wild animals with extremly strong instinct, and we shouldnt own them even if we think they are cool.
I mean , there are half breed wolfs who have been put down because they couldnt live like a dog... all because humans wanted a wolf looking dog. Thats just wrong!

I'm a dog groomer and trainer, and dog kisses are essential to my job. It's a vital form of communication between us, I need to do it to reassure and bond with my dogs. Dogs lick to signal that things are cool and OK and they're not a threat, so that's why I kiss my clients. Lee is so good at nonverbal communication with his dogs, I've taken courses on it and I still learn more watching Lee interact with the pack than I did in years of training.

You can see them visibly change when you give them kisses, especially some of the rescues that were so scared or just beaten down, that kiss meant a lot. I always do kisses with my babies.
I went to Costco a couple weeks ago with my neighbor and her service dog, Beck.A lovable Bernese Mountain dog.All I saw was a sea of people, and I felt irritated for a moment, then I imagine the people being a sea of dogs, and life felt better, and Beck, my sweet neighbors dog kept her eye on me throughput the store, helping me be calm.And I love the dog kisses.

I have kissed dogs in front of some people who say "you KISS them on the MOUTH???!!" To which I reply, "Yes, and so far I don't think I have made any of THEM sick! LOL. They have fewer germs in their mouths than we do and are therefore at greater risk from us than we from them!! My mother used to say that some people are just "nasty nice".

I’m 68 and I’ve been getting puppy kisses from my dogs for 63 years now. Every dog has been a member of my family who lives in the house with me, sleeps with me, eats with me, and goes with me most everywhere that it’s allowed.
