I used to fly out of Charlotte all the time, it's incredible how big that airport has grown. Nowadays when I visit mom, I just take a Uber getting in and out of there.
Kentucky now but grew up in Walnut Creek. Love the trip down memory lane. Summers in the delta. Orwood! Mac's Ol'e house, The Mecca!! Not a bad place to grow up.
Justin, thank you and T dubs for showing us where you grew up at. That’s pretty cool to remember all those memories that you have with you your mom, your brother and sister that’s cool have a nice day
The Bay area brings back memories when out lived out there. Worked for Toyota in San Ramon and lived in El Sobrante. Miss the mild weather out there, but don't miss the $5 plus a gallon prices and living expenses. It's good to see you go back honoring your mom and family.
Being from Sacramento, over the last 20 years, the most common site is no snow in February while flying over. Also a member of local 741 Painters union out of Martinez. Also painted some of those refinery stacks back in the 80's. Furthermore, painted out at the Dow chemical plant there in Pittsburgh. Memories. Good on you for honoring the love she gave you.
My son Football Jersey was. 88 as well. He also was granted a Full Ride Scholarship to Play Football, he had a Really High numbed of YAC meaning Yards after Caught it was a D-2 School.
great video guys. going back home after so many years and making the rounds can get a little emotional. i live in Georgia, raised in Louisiana and don't get back as much as i would like to. funny how much things change but seem to remain the same. TDUBS looked like she really enjoyed watching you relive so many memories. stay safe.
It is such a royal pain to have to drive all the way to Atlanta or Charlotte to catch a decent flight out when there’s GSP right in our back yard !!! Come on GSP you know you can do better than that !!!
I can’t believe your out here that’s awesome! Your channel motivated me to get my CDL! I live literally like 5 minutes from your old 8th grade home 😎 still can’t believe it!
Hey Justin, great video. I moved out of the bay area almost three years ago, had a class A and drove truck locally all around the bay area for 25 yrs, used to live in Hayward.l' m pretty familiar with that area, but what was even more cool about the video is l used to love playing baseball and I played in a men's league called MSBL ( men's senior baseball league) and we used to play at Antioch high, Deer valley high, Los Medanos Jr College, and some places in Brentwood too, so it brought back a lot of good memories.Somtimes I miss the Bay Area but I know how much it's changed, and that's unfortunate. Anyway great video, love your channel, you and Katie have a wonderful family, you're both doing a great job with your boys and that's not easy now days.stay strong, and keep grinding guys. God Bless yo all 🙏
I'm doing catchup and send my condolences to you and family. Mom's are so special and the sadness will be tempered by the rememberances of the happy times. I promise the grief will be easier to handle in the days ahead. It won't go completely away but you will handle it better as time goes on. Lloyd Mitchell Florence
I am 70 the climate here in Indiana has not changed since I was a kid weather changes all the time but we still have cold winters and hot summers nothing has changed.
J’ my condolences to your entire family it’s not the greatest times but that’s how life rolls when we all get to gather but at a very sad time respects to your 💐mom💐 and I pray 🙏 that you and T’ have a safe flight back .
Top 7 of my favorite videos. ❤d all the nostalgia, I could hear the giddiness in your voice...felt like you were coming home 😊. I love trips down memory lanes, especially when alot of the old is still there. Can't wait for the next one and glad Uncle Jason made it. God bless ya'll xo🙏
When you first got out of the airport, you have to do walk some crazy neighborhood to get a rental car? Was that what was that all about? That’s a very dangerous town now to the shame.
We had Several Ladder Trucks, we hardly ever Used them but it was nice to have them for Structural Fire Fighting using the Ladder to Spray the Roof Areas.
Charlotte is the Bermuda triangle of airports every one I know has had a problem getting out of there either canceled flights or aircraft maintenance issues.
Never knew you were from bayarea..Been watching ur vids for awile bud. Iam in san jose..Believe me were u live now is way better the here!.enjoy ur memory
Seeing that car was pretty cool. Taking us along for a trip down memory lane of your up bringing was great, really enjoyed it. Thanks & hope yall have a blast. Keep On Keepin On #JustTruckinFamily
😂they are always changing something at the airport. I always park over at Airport Parkjng off 85. Have never had a bad experience or had to wait super long for the shuttle.
I remember living through the '89 quake. I haven't been back to Cali since 2000 after my daughter was born. Lived in the Santa Cruz mountains not far from where you grew up. I've always wondered if your football team ever went against San Lorenzo Valley High (Felton CA)
Kind of looks like you grew up in a Hollywood movie. Being from Mass now living in Georgia Cali looks so refreshing and different compared to the east coast. I guess even Californians get tired of their home.
Wish I could have bought you guys some lunch when you were in Pittsburgh. I use to live on Buchanan and my family had a BBQ restaurant on Railroad downtown.
That is how our place is gated community. And it's a good place to live. Me and Jesse went by where him and his Aunt lived at and it brought allot of good memories. His Aunt lived there when Jesse was like maybe 5 year's old. And he moved in with his Aunt when he was 10 after his dad was runned over by a drunk driver along with his god father. They lived there until Jesse was 16 and Jesse surprised his Aunt with a house. And she lived there until she got cancer again the 2nd time and she was getting bad. We had her move in with us. And she wanted the house to be sold and we sold it to friend's. And they always kept it clean and in good shape. Jesse can't wait to see the gift Sunday Evening. He said earlier hell when the clock strikes midnight he stated he will wake me up and i must show him where the gift is. And i said u can't wait after Sunday Morning Service. And he looked at me like WTF. He will love it.
@@JustTruckin our friends are like family to us. Jesse calls Jackie momma bear and he calls my grandma (Grandma) my grandma loves Jesse. She was really really happy when she hears that he moves in with me. And when my mom was about to stuff her in a nursing home. She cried and Jesse was like oh hell no she's living with us. She's happy and I reported my mom and dad to the state and they had to pay my grandma back. My grandma cutted everybody off the will except me and Jesse and the kids.
I was 2 years old when the bridge collapsed in 89 during the earthquake and the World Series between the A’s and the Giants we lived in an apartment in Marin

Happy Father's Day Justin. Hope Katie and the boy's got u good gifts. Jesse is still shocked and speechless after we revealed the gift from all of us coworkers and friends. Jackie Co-owner and Jesse's Godmother found Jesse's grandparents 1979 Lincoln Continental 4 door. The people that brought it from Jesse's mom was happy with selling it to Jackie and me. Jackie always wanted to do something for Jesse after he found Jackie's and Jack's 1957 Chevy Nomad 2 door. We surprised her revealing it in her garage about over a year ago. And we did the same thing to Jesse last night. We had friends in the garage and Jackie was hiding. Jesse arrives pulling up and gets out. And one of the kid's open the garage door where the Lincoln Continental was parked in and everybody screams Happy Birthday and Father's Day and Jackie was running up to Jesse and she goes I got u back. Jesse is still going like WTH is going on. One of the friends that was next to Jesse got him sat down on a lawn chair. Jesse was like stunned minutes later he broke down crying. He was really happy about me and Jackie and several friends pitching in to buy it back. Jesse was like it's really good condition and he was really happy. We drove it around town and he was really happy. Everything still works excellent. Only thing the previous owners did when they rebuilt the Lincoln was add a pioneer CD player and customize speakers and Jesse likes it. No big bass subs I think it has 2 ten inch subs in the back behind the back seat. It sounds like the way we like it. Jackie was really happy the people that brought it. Was happy selling it to us. We had to hide it at friends. Our youngest daughter's bday is later this week she will be 16. And we are buying her a car 2010 Chevy Camaro Black Automatic in really really good condition. She's been working saving up money. And she told us what she wants. Jesse brought it and it's sitting in the garage across the street from us. Tomorrow we will get the Lincoln Insured and Registered.
