Actually it is a Devotional song about Meerabai(Ultimate devotee of Lord Krishna) expressing her love to Lord Krishna. The style of singing is called Sufi singing. And it is sung here by Muslim singers who gained the title of 'Ustaad'. Ustaad title is given to Muslims for Mastery in a craft. Here the craft is Sufi singing by Ustaad Nursart Fateh Ali Khan. Similarly for Hindus it is called 'Pandit'.

Singer & Co are devoted Muslims so they're lyrically expressing their devotion towards the Allah (God) they believe in. You can paint any meaning to lyrics. Its a spiritual performance and they would never sing for idol worshipping so do not misguide people. Know the facts first...
@@Thor11th I don't see any misguidance here. The song's origins are from hinduism and everything they said in their comment is factually correct. No one said anything about what actual meaning the people singing or listening find in the song.
muslims don't worship krishna but they understand love for god and that is what the song is about
I'm Pakistani American and I listened to the original songs as a kid while my dad was driving, I was always adding different instruments to it in my head. This guy actually did it in real life that's sick lol
This singer(Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) did a trippy fusion album with Michael Brook in the 90's called "Night Song". I think anyone who likes his voice will enjoy that. He's also featured in movie soundtracks like Last Temptation of Christ, Natural Born Killers, and Dead Man Walking. Man was slept on, RIP Nusrat.

Technically your cat is a Hindu and a Krishna devotee now. This is originally a vaishnava devotional poem/song composed in the late 1400s by a princess turned legendary ascetic named Mira Bai to express her love for lord Krishna, the 8th avatar of lord Vishnu. Later adopted by Sufi singers for conversion purposes during Islamic rule in the Indian subcontinent.
