This is the greatest SAP episode of all time. Could not stop laughing from that first run with the scampi and the hedgehog to pogging over the tabby cat run.
16:32 and to that I would say sure the strongest unit with meat uses it on multiple attacks however it doesn't technically use meat a single time because its damage is already enough to one shot everyone. NL use meat correctly challenge: difficulty impossible
Someone needs make a compilation of every time where NL goes up against a team where every animal has lower hp than the base attack of the strongest unit he puts meat on. Every time he meats the strongest unit I check to see if any opposing animal has the hp to survive a single attack from the unit if it didn’t have meat, and it’s always strong enough to one shot any animal on the enemy team without the meat. Maybe then he’ll finally learn.
16:08 The problem is at those turns your strongest units already have enough attack to one hit the enemy, so it's better to use meat on a 3-4 attack, all of a sudden it becomes a 9 attack that also one hits enemy units.
Weaker units, depending what they are, will be more likely to be sold, and it’s better that way. You don’t want to invest too much into it, so it’s not as much of a loss when you sell. It’s an advantage to be able to sell units to make space for better ones.
@@SaddisticSpeller Early game losses dont always matter depending on the round it is and the lives you have left. also, losing a round for 2 lives to have a higher chance not to lose 3 lives next turn is a pretty good advantage
@@fizzmoe9846 its not a higher chance tho. Dude had a ladybug doing 9 dmg with meat against teams that had like 6 health max. Its just a waste of gold u only wanna put meat on things like a giraffe or peacock with low damage high health

Turn 1 three ladybugs + reroll into three ladybugs Turn 2 pre-bacta'd Skunk Turn 3 microbe and two turtles Nothing else satisfies this man at this point
“Our hatching chick is our strongest unit, let’s give it meat to make it more useful.” I literally screamed when you did this, I know I’m not the only one saying it, but no, the meat isn’t useful because it’s overkill and your opponents animals won’t have the hp to survive the attack of an 8 attack hatching chick, thereby rendering the extra 5 attack useless. Every time I see you meat your strongest unit I look at hp of all the units on the opposite team to see if it can possibly matter, and 95% of the time I see that every single unit on the enemy team has less hp than your unit with meat and was going to get one shot without the meat, and I account for garlic. The turn after putting the meat on the 8 attack hatching chick the enemy team’s highest hp unit had 7 hp, useless meat. The two turns after you actually did have opponents with high enough hp/garlic armor that allows them to survive an attack from an 8 attack unit, so the meat was useful right? Well it could have been, but due to positing the hatching chick never actually attacked a unit that could survive 8 damage, the second round with it it only hit a 1 hp fish, it could have been straight from the shop and be at 1/1 and still killed it. The following round it traded with a 7 hp horse. After that you sold the hatching chick, the meat was useful in zero of the rounds you had it, a complete waste of 3 gold. Why are you like this NL?
ok i heard NL's explanation. the point isn't to put the meat on your weakest unit. it's to put it on a low attack, HIGH health unit. In the early game the meat on your highest attack unit is usually wasted bc it's base stats are enough to kill with every hit regardless (completely wasting the meat's ability). meanwhile on a 1 attack high hp unit (like the swan) The meat turns that unit from essentially useless in battle to a viable unit (usually on par with your first or second best unit). On your tabby cat team it would've probably been best on your fish or bird although theres an argument to be made its best to just get the cat buff since you will probably sell the fish and bird anyway.
@@noThankyou-g5c except he never does that. He always puts it on his 8/3 fish that's been getting blue bird buffs. He always puts it on his highest attack unit instead of his highest hp unit. You don't even actually need it on your highest hp unit. Meat makes a 2/1 blue bird weenie trade 1-1 with a 2/5 blowfish. He needs to think of things in terms of trades. When a 2/5 blowfish can smack through 3 of your weenie animals, you're in a bad place

The man's going off on nerds who live and breathe the game while he sits on about 40k in game points and has a fkn custom item in the game, you're too much sometimes eggman
16:07 NL I think you should just watch your high damage unit with meat during the actual combat. During this round where your best units "used the meat multiple times" the meat did literally nothing, every attack they already had enough damage to get the kill. Putting meat on a 1/1 or otherwise bad unit is also a mistake, it's _only_ good on high HP low damage units like swan or dromedary or something that you've buffed by feeding a beetle.
I've thought about this strat, the problem is that you are then making your big, juiced unit the unit in slot 5. You'd much rather have your big guy in slot 2. Ant at the front at least gives a chance for that to happen, and only 1/4 of the time you end up buffing the last slot unit anyway.
@@blahthebiste7924 while I do see where you're coming from I don't think that really holds true on round 1-3 as there is a good chance you won't have 5 units and all of your units will be of a similar power, this also helps if you are in paid and get a bird. Of course later on this isn't as useful, imo if you have an ant past round 5 at max you have bigger problems
@@girthquake465 the problem is that it makes the rest of your build really weak and even the last slot is a glass cannon. A lot of teams have 5 animals on round 2, it’s not uncommon in which you’d just get destroyed
@@girthquake465 Ant is kind of a 4/2, and generally it's better to have high attack in the front to trade up, and high health in the back to value trade (assuming your opponent has normal order).
Because he's planning on combining the ladybugs, and there would be a minor loss of efficiency. When you combine animals, it sets their relevant stats to the higher of the two animals'+1. So he had a 2/4 lady-bug, and a 1/3. If the Ant hits the 1/3, it becomes a 3/4, meaning when they're combined, the result is a 4/5. But it was already going to be a 3/5, and if the ant hits the BIGGER lady bug, it becomes a 4/5, meaning the combined bug is a 5/6. (as you can see at 31:33). So the ant hitting the wrong ladybug would, essentially, cause it to lose 1/1 over time, basically "wasting" the apple he put on the first ladybug. However, since ladybugs get a bonus when any animal eats food (including a pill), it makes sense on THIS turn to play the smaller ladybug first, and then pill the ant, so that it can get +1/+1 for the turn. So it was a classic case of "I'm doing what's best for me right now, and as long as the ant buff doesn't hit the small ladybug, it won't hurt me long-term."
