Got a lot of Zippos and stopped smoking 8 years ago Perfect for me
I never smoked, but carrying a lighter is kinda useful. Well, classic zippo is a bit impractical (if you don’t use it constantly you’ll waste evaporating fluid) but with butane insert it is. You can burn ends of threads, use it on heat shrink tubing or just help a friend who does smoke and forgot/exhausted their lighter. But still, if you’re really into zippos this gives you a reason to carry two 😄
Would be cool to add torx bits to it for a knife kit
Now all Zippo needs to do is bring back their ZipLight flashlight insert instead of having to find the cheap aftermarket ones. And make one that works and doesn't crap out!
If they made a rechargeable one I'd be all over it
@@chancebreeding9464 they already have the plasma lighter insert that is rechargeable, so they're almost there. Let's hope!
1:56 because it's cool as hell! I feel like James Bond, whipping a multitool out of my lighter.
For the zippo owner who has EVERYTHING. Sounds like a perfect stocking stuffer, especially for exsmokers
thats really cool !
I've collected Zippos since I was young, just ordered it, it'll be a nice addition to the collection.
Just a cool part of a zippo collection.
Keep doing daily videos homie! (Paused at the beginning to comment) keep GEEETIN IT! 🤟🏼
I totally see someone kitting out their tool box with these. Just swap the bits out for what you want. It would be heckin' expensive, but they're already paying for Sanp-on and Mack.
That is cool.
I vape daily so I've never "needed" a zippo but I love zippos and found one of my grandfather's brass one from 1983, took the worst of the oxidation off and wanted to find something to swap the lighter out with and remembered these
Very unique, thanks for the review.
Make it with t6 t8 and t10 and that's a hell of a sidekick with my balis
Hmm...can you actually use it with the lid sort of in the way? Or is it to just hold bits for another item?
Yes, my first thought was, this is a solution looking for a problem. It's a cool Zippo gadget though for collectors. :)
If they made made this where it holds a bunch of micro bits and has a little bit driving handle that pulls of, that would have been a better more useful design.
My first thought too. Prolly could get six or eight 4x25mm bits in the storage compartment. Double end them and that's fourteen/eighteen drivers!
_That_ would be worth carrying.
@@CrowManyClouds only as long as there's a little driver handle in there that's actually usable.
I do think a lot of inserts are cool, but my OCD issue would be having so many stock Zippo inserts laying around... I wonder if they'll ever start selling empty cases?
Zippo is a CLASSIC AMERICAN ICON but this is Made in China . Zippo has the ability and capacity to manufacture these !
Maybe add a 2inch bit extension into the insert for small use of course
I can see it for working on folders if you're really patient😂 Paired with a butane insert might be useful
I’m gonna get this or the soft flame pipe insert, I’m in that situation of not having a use for them anymore
For a non smoker this a cool little gadget to carry.
I have a Leatherman for tools & a Zippo for fire.
Very cool. I'm curious how tough it is? Definitely something I'll get when I stop smoking
metal shell seems like a plastic insert didnt drop it yet not sure how well it would hold up to constant use
@@cutlerylover the plastic has me concerned about putting any kind of torque on it. I like to carry a bit holding stubby screwdriver but it's thick this would be much nicer to carry but that plastic is concerning. (Thanks for the response! You have always been great about that
Gunna suck when you're smoker, you pickup the wrong lighter, and you're trying to light your cigarette at the pub with a pozi 2 bit haha
My favorite Zippo insert is a pill box insert.
Interesting. Wonder if they will come out with other "insert safes"? Tiny EDC kit perhaps? Compass, etc. Maybe enough space for an emergency $20 bill. I believe there is an aftermarket lighter insert already.
id love a zippo mini otf
yes LOTS of 3d printed stuff for Zippo cases in fact theres something like this on the market already, it would be nice to see a slew of inserts available one big empty safe for pills or fire making stuff or whatevere you want would be nice
@@cutlerylover I'd love to see a camera insert, saw a spy camera in a Zippo in a museum years ago, always thought it would be a fun novelty
@@kevinmorricewould be a bit weird for zippo to make those themselves, seens like youd just be marketing to creeps
@@xiiimth to be fair, i know people that think tuna in a sandwich is weird, i even knew a guy who thought that thought pale ale was fake, what i mean is, it may mbe thought of as something for creeps, but theres undoubtedly a serious market for it, "something for someone, not everyone"
Everyone keeps talking about the novelty effect of this product, and showing that it doesn't work very well, if you are trying to use it as an EDC tool, without taking your preferred bit out of the bit safe and using a separate bit driver. I mean it says right on the packaging, bit safe. It does not say EDC tool or screwdriver. I feel like Zippo intended this to be a unique and interesting collectible way of carrying an individuals preferred collection of most often used bits for their daily needs, in conjunction with, a separate bit driver mechanism of the user's choice.
If you if you view the Zippo bit safe insert, as exactly that, a way to store your most used bits in a convenient pocket size package, with a unique collectible Factor, then it does a fantastic job, there is no rattle to the bits in the case. And paired with something like a PowerPoint it is a nice convenient package and I can finally use the bit driving function of the PowerPoint without having to come up with a unique an interesting way to store a separate bunch of bits in my EDC loadout.
thats a valid point BUT if you already carry a bit driver, and then need to carry a bit safe you use bits way too often to choose a small EDC option when you really need a dedicated full size driver and bit set...I dont know of a situation where people needs to use drivers all day long in their life outside of a work related situation in which you should have the full size dedicated tools to do the job the best way possible..just like mechanics dont use pocket tools to work on cars...The point of an EDC tool is to be used in a pinch not to be used often outside of say a knife, these tools we have in our pockets are whern the full size better versions arent available or impractical to carry around...Ive carried bit sets many tiems and used them as well but everytiem I use them I always wanted a full size driver...when home ive had a pocket driver set and still used the full size becasue it was close by...All that said yes you are still right if you prefer to carry a bit safe having it in a zippo format is just cool and fun and it does carry them well
All the stuff the zippo from there axe to bit holder I would not be surprised if their next product would be a traditional flint and steel kit with char tin that zippo on it
Cool and will probably get one but the cost of their inserts and the fact that more Zippo products are being made in China is another reason the Chinese Zorro brand lighters are popular and way more affordable.
Wish I'd had that when I quit smoking, for sure.
2:24 maybe my drug dealer... 😅
The question is: is it compatible with double-sided bits?
didnt try it but the single sided bits do fit the other way as well lol
When it comes to these EDC tools. Then you could also take a look at the Knipex Cobra XS or their plier wrench of the same size. They are small, neat, and very useful tools.
It will brake under pressure I bet
you can use quite a bit or torque with this but I doubt anyone would break it unless they are trying to break it...this wouldnt think this would be anyones go to driver everyday...
Lol ridiculous idea
But it's definitely an idea
The market for this is "people who buy pointless crap".
$8 isn't about the same as $16... that's half the price my guy...
Came here to see a screw being driven with this but it didn’t happen.
A veces zippo deberia de seguir como está y no inventar tonterias... 🤦🏻♂️
I'm gonna have a hard time explaining this to the TSA officer.
The answer to a question no one asked.
they should make a coin safe instead for valuable coins to be hidden in and make it look like a counterfeit zippo so no one will be interested in it
Id LOVE one with some spring action coin holders for spare change :)
Your stubby fingers bother me. Also audio is terrible on this video
thats funny your mom seemed to like them?
Well, I’m buying one pay day. Lol
Nice piece of EDC; however, Double ended bits would have been a better idea..lg. standard bit sm. bit #1 Phillips #2Phillips Ect...Just sayin.
