I use Walmart brand TDH because where I am here in Manitoba Canada it can get down to -40 degrees Celsius so I need it thinner when I plow snow and even then it gets slow until it warms up! Anyway I have had TDH ( transmission,Differential, Hydraulic fluid) in my 8N for years and it has worked great!
@@tinkeringworkshop6005 Yep. Keep doing what you're doing. Original oil type was a GL3 80 weight in winter 90 weight in summer gear oil. Today multi-viscosity oils work much better. NEVER RUN HYTRAN in these little tractors. Hytran does not have the lubrication properties needed to keep things right in the rear of these old tractors.
Water enters around the rubber at base of shift lever if left out in rain

The RECOMMENDED Fluid is 80-90 GL1-5 .... But you can also use Ford Spec. M2C-134 ,D !!
Go Rob Go!!
that is the wrong fluid for that.. Just saying.. That will make your hydraulic lift super slow..
It was the fluid recommendation from the user manual. What fluid do you recommend? Thanks for the comment.
