Last Friday on February 14 was supposed to be our scheduled trip to Lake Cook Road station in Deerfield, IL on the CP C&M Subdivision. But due to anticipated chilly weather conditions, we decided to move it to next week replacing our scheduled trip to Round Lake Beach on the CN Waukesha Subdivision. So one week later, we made the trip to Lake Cook Road station and it was still a chilly day. However, it gradually got warmer but the wind wasn’t helping at all. Out trackside, the action was a bit inconsistent. In fact, it started off to a rocky start because we were trying really hard to stay warm while trying to film and photograph which made our job challenging. We still didn’t come home empty handed. So it was still a good day despite the challenges we had to face throughout the day. Next week, we head to the CN Waukesha Subdivision this Tuesday and we will be posting that video on Friday night just in time before the “Take On Me” Music Video. Do you think Metra will use their F59PHIs on Metra Lines that head out South & West of Chicago or are they only assigned to Metra Lines North of Chicago?

Yeah! It rocks! I think all the Nippon Sharyo Cab Cars should become like 8509, while all the Amerail Cab Cars become like 8473.

As I always like to say, the F40’s are Metra’s workhorse. You see them on almost every Metra line, and they get the job done very well
