Last time we were at Lake Forest, we were following Canadian Pacific 2816 and its train to Bensenville Yard back in May earlier this year. Now we’ve returned to the C&M after a busy start to the summer and hopefully back to normal productive season for filming trains in beautiful summer weather. On this day, we started off with the usual morning rush hour with Metra trains. During the day, things got a bit interesting when planned track work was taking place which altered the usual weekday schedule for Metra trains on this line terminating trains by us at Lake Forest which made it for a busy day. By lunch time and the sun moved over to the west, we started to see more freight action till the very end. Overall, it was another productive day along the Milwaukee District North Line.
