10:26 - I both love and hate old Pizza Hut commercials, as they remind me of better times for the restaurant chain, and also remind me of how they will never come again.
That Amoco commercial is one of the things I love about the 80s and 80's commercials. That Holiday Inn Commercial was some 80's goodness as well. I would have really loved it if the great sign was in it, but alas the great sign was already long gone by the time this commercial aired unfortunately.
That is the single cleanest version of the ABC Night at the Movies open anywhere on UA-cam - even things that are *just* that open aren't as clean as this. Wow.
The recording here really is *not* that clear and I actually used some NR/blur to take out some of the pixelation inherent in this recording. I've posted the ABC intro several times over the years in much better quality: ua-cam.com/video/0GJ9pyvTHfc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/UfTWms3TO8Y/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/2eitg8Nfu-g/v-deo.html
@@80sCommercialVault yeah, just a bit - that third one in particular looks like it's just about as good as you're going to get for over-the-air SDTV; I didn't see any artifacts in it at all.
Back in the day when you did stunts in commercials (the car going upside down) and you didn't need to put "Do not attempt" in fine print at the bottom of the screen.
Matt Houston-never go into a rescue situation unarmed Murder By Death-good film, was kind of inspired by the Clue game Joanie Loves Chachi-the theme song shouldve gotten a Grammy nomination Quittin'Time Beer-sounds like a product that would appear on Family Guy Holiday Inn-the Phoenix location is still around..i live a few blocks from it
Actually, Murder By Death was inspired by the mystery books of Agatha Christie and Dashiell Hammett, as Sam Diamond and Dick and Dora Charleston are based on Sam Spade and Nick and Nora Charles, and Milo Perrier and Jessie Marbles are inspired by Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple, and the story itself is inspired by Ten Little Indians.

And the pizza was still good too eat.

I would not mind going to a 80s McDonald's.
ABC Closed Caption bumper & Star Tunnel Intro = 80s awesomeness
9:14 - A rare commercial that is brave enough to tackle the powerful issue of canine underage alcoholism...
Matt Houston was a decent show
"I wear a nice blouse when I barbeque all day instead of putting on an apron!"

Have I mentioned how much I love this channel?
"English leather drives women crazy" 😎
Wow Laguna Seca for the Tempo commercial!
@ 8:48 the Trans Am in the Amoco commercial was the most futuristic and coolest car I ever saw back then! K.I.T.T !

5:00 is that the 2nd Aunt Viv from the Fresh Prince giving the thumbs up at the end of that McD's ad...?
Yes! I liked her much more then the original.
Is that Ben Jones (Cooter from the Dukes of Hazzard) in the QT beer commercial?
