guldan has always been one of my favorites, kinda didn't play him a lot lately since his hotslogs winrate is so low, but damn I played the succ build once and it felt incredibly powerful to me

Ahhh I remember the good ol days when succ build was considered a joke but I still played it! Wish they'd take back the lvl 16 life tap change though. I liked having tap empower the entirety of a spell and not have it be on a duration for every spell. Flowed much better.

it's still not his best build, decent players will just knock you out of life drain a lot of the time. The level 4 talent is kind of a trap talent if you think about it. The CDR is decent, but lets be honest, most of the damage Fan did in this video, and in Gul'dan's kit in general, comes from his other abilities. W is there to provide you with great sustain so you can use more of your higher damage dealing abilities. I feel like you're better off with improved life tap at 4 most of the time, so you can spam more spells. The point is that the best W build is actually taking spell power buffs at 7 and 16, because these talents also buff all of your other abilities, so you ultimately do more damage spread across all of your abilities. You do a similar amount of damage and healing from not taking the W talents at 4 and 7. The hybrid build I feel is Gul'dan's strongest is W talents at 1 and 13, and spell power at 7 and 16. W talent at 7 is fine, but most of the time you don't need it because your team mates have slows, and the combination of spell power at 7 and 16 to 35% spell power increase, for ALL of your abilities, is too great to pass up imo.
