I appreciate the humility from Kripp, loads of people will just say they got their job because of grit but he fully recognised that his connections from his parents that most people won't have access to through no fault of his own were a major help.
never knew this. But still, he does do the grind lol. Even if playing video games for a living is pretty easy lol With that being said it's getting harder to take his UA-cam vids serious because of the state of the game. I really think he should branch out because no matter how many subjects he tries to think of We Almost get the same build every single time
Nothing is more annoying than people going: "Ohh yeah, I earn 10,000,000$ a month because I am a hard-working superman that built an empire from a grain of sand and I deserve even more than I'm getting!". Like, sure dude. Just lie to yourself and to others in hopes that one day, people will acknowledge that lie as a truth. And yes, that may happen, but deep down you will always know that you're a liar.
I mean it's more wise to stay neutral anyway when you're streaming. Every one is allowed to have their own opinion but going to deep into politics nowadays can result in alienating people of your fan base i mean it's pretty obvious kripp is pretty far left and he does have takes that do support that but he doesn't push them afaik.
You're entirely right about hardware. Look at the new AWS hardware, its monstrous, AI GFX are operating at unthinkable speeds when compared to 10 years ago. The issue is old code not designed to utilise the ridiculously good hardware we have now.
Say what you want about the balance or stability of the patch with these Trinkets around, but one this is for sure; there is a lot of different builds and interesting interactions possible around. Some of the builds in videos over the last couple weeks have been very cool.
Kripp played this game live on stream about 13 days ago (on 9/2/2024). It seems the game starts at around 01:23:00 in the Twitch VOD. Check the video description for the link!
The answer to the wow server question is quite obvious. The problem isn’t the software, and new hardware is exponentially better. The problem isn’t quality, it’s quantity. WoW doesn’t make money like it used too. So they aren’t spending as much on the servers. The servers are probably a fraction of the size they once were.
As someone who is the exact same age as krip and had parents who were pretty high up at ibm so we had most of the PC models early. Yeah it is pretty crazy how much things have changed in such a short time It's also pretty crazy how PC stores almost died out. I'm not sure about the US but finding a PC store in Europe is pretty rare now lol. Krip losing to the card he always avoids is kinda funny tho x) (cleave)
@@kagefisk Because network stability overall is finnicky? You're conflating server-side latency with hardware... which is an entirely different medium.
@@kagefiskBecause, as with a car, your engine(hardware for PCs) can have all the horsepower in the world, but if the transmission and the rest suck(software for PCs) you won't get that performance at the wheel...(where you want it). It's not a perfect analogy, but it works.
It's definitely wrong for server stuff But the funny thing is it's actually true for SOME hardware. Most notably microphones. We haven't really improved much of anything hardware wise on audio recording since one of the old Shure models used professionally.
@@kirinashia567 I doubt the validity of that assertment. Are you telling me that we haven't improved on sound quality, durability, cost, underwater auto recording etc. in the last 25 years?
Oh man, that ending. No drakari or murkeye here. As for the stories, there's a lot of 'it's not what you know it's who you know', but also persistance.
The problem I always have with these builds is I get a nice thing going with either Eternal Knights or automotons is that I spend a couple rounds letting them die and resummon, getting buffed up, then I hit a streak facing only the weaker half of the lobby and my guys don't die and don't grow, meanwhile first and second place have a build going that grows no matter what happens during combat and I get squashed instantly when the game has be face them again after 4 or 5 rounds of no grows fighting the chuds. Any build tied to needing my minions to die is just... bad. Sure it can work, but ... I don't like high rolling getting the cards and then needing to high roll that my opponents are good enough to kill some of my minions to trigger avenge or in this case to trigger reborn (or with eternal knights just to kill the knights but not me) so my board builds.
as another perspective to consider on the wow servers stuff, possibly what happens is that people have decided it didn't need to be that much faster, so they took the improved efficiency for reducing costs (e,g less heat generation/electricity cost/physical space used), or improve on other features such as introducing redundancy for reliability. all just guesswork on my part
I don't think lagging in WoW has much to do with server speed at this point but the latency between client and server. When there's some kind of miscommunication, you need to go back and forth between client and the server to correct it. It doesn't matter how fast the server is, even if it sends the new information instantly. The server says: Here is the info. The client asks the server: What was that? The server resends the info. If your latency is 50ms, that interaction takes 150ms. Sever hardware has no influence on the time this takes. It's a speed of light issue. You would have to eliminate all possible errors and miscommunication in the netcode to eliminate lag completely.
so about the wow question ,blizard doesnt have anymore the old version they got the version from private server that tried to rip of old wow so we actually play a rip off of a rip off

MMO lag is from the ping delays surely
24% of the time, it works every time
Maybe because the overhaul wouldn't be as cost efficient than to just keep milking you for the same dime.
I bet Bran was so salty.

wow servers lag due to bad network optimisation, not due to hardware block computing power
Exactly. They are bad because blizzard doesn't care to make them good
Latency has nearly nothing to do with the hardware of the servers.
Can't get back to cooking now. Too much salt after this many years of hearthstone.
