This video was a delight to watch! Thank you for sharing the history and your restoration of The Gregson House. It ended up with the perfect new owner.
I relish these videos, Susan. I live in the bottom of NZ and there is an absence of antique dollhouses in museums here. I rely on videos and books. Your presentations are exceptionally enjoyable.
I was thrilled to see that this wonderful house was acquired by Susan Dossetter. It has truly landed into the best of hands! Thanks to Susan for her graciousness in sharing such a treasure with us and to you for taking the time to film it!
I was waiting for this program since Rachel Hoffman first announced it, Susan Dossetter never disappoints. Thank you both for a wonderful video with so much information, is not just a doll house Susan, you have a treasure!! Your little girl is precious!
Wonderful thank you Rachel and Susan for another glimpse into this beautiful dollhouse and its story. Also- love your home too Susan - beautiful walls and furniture :) !
What a wonderful presentation! I could listen to Susan for hours as you can just feel her love for preserving this beautiful dollhouse. The detail of information is amazing and her ability to restore this lovely treasure to as close to it's original state as possible is commendable. What a treasure! Thank you so much for this fascinating story...I loved it!
I love dollhouses and I loved this episode. Thank you to Susan for documenting everything and sharing! This made me want to make my own cabinet dollhouse.
This was truly a labor of love, Susan. It was so fascinating to see all the items that came with the house as well as all the documents you looked up and added to it! Totally awesome! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! 😊
What a magnificent house and treasure! I really like the mix of scale, which is very charming. When I was a child my parents bought my sister and myself Little Miss Revlon dolls for Christmas. My father built them a bedroom, complete with a chest of drawers, bunk beds and a pair of rocking chairs, which they bought. My mother made a full wardrobe, curtains for the little window, rugs, etc. I only have one of the rocking chairs in which a Miss Revlon proudly sits. I’ve loved doll houses all my life.
How amazing that was!! Knowing so much from the provenance of the house is astonishing. A true labor of love, and a great idea to document the restoration. I am in awe watching this true gem. Thank you so much for sharing your treasure with us. Absolutely fantastic! (Lady in red really reminded me of Claire in Outlander) It was really a privilege to learn about this impressive dollhouse and watch all the details. Thanks!!
Absolutely beautiful and fascinating. Your plaster foods in the dining room are English Kaybot from the 1960s / 70s so not of the period, but you probably know that :)
