You guys need to be aware of what’s going on in the U.K. at the moment. After Labour won with less vote share than their 2019 loss, but due to Conservatives total collapse, we’ve just had a Parliamentary petition gaining 2.4 million signs in just a few days calling for another general election. Worth discussing in this.
How much does UK foreign policy depend on the party though, not much at all I feel. Lots of domestic drama.. but regarding their foreign policy no much if anything at all changes.
I mean Labour won with a greater share than 2019 (less than 2017 is accurate though). The petition is meaningless though. In the scheme of things, it's not even close to the most signed petition of the last decade, which was also dismissed. And no, I didn't vote Labour, but its silly think a petition for a new government will do anything or means anything!
No it is not worth discussion for them From Wikipedia "Started on 12 February 2019, it acquired more than 4 million signatures in 48 hours, between 21 March and 23 March 2019, "
The economic condition for the average American has gotten considerably worse. Just because it isnt as bad as the average European doesn't mean it hasn't gotten worse. Ivory tower people be saying "relativity this, relativity that" compared to Europeans Relative to a homeless person im doing well, but that ain't change the fact i got bills to pay. My pay has gone up ~30% nominally in 5 years and im still exactly where i was 4 years ago, despite 2 promotions at my company and everything just costs 30% more in that same time. So its just the same. And these people say shit like "Well, ackshually the inflation has only gone up 23.9% in the past 5 years and its gone up by 32.1% in Europe!" and wonder why they lose everywhere across the board
That really fucking sucks, I’m so sorry for you. Inflation has been tough on everyone. That being said, sadly no incumbent was ever gonna be able to magically fix inflation. The post-covid effects plus Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (impeccable timing just as we were coming out of covid 🙄) were global and far too all-encompassing for one country to be able to evade it. As much as an incumbent may have tried to limit the consequences of it, avoiding it altogether was unfortunately just never going to happen. That’s why people talk about the US getting by relatively well by comparison because it was even more shit in other places. And that of course doesn’t take away from the fact that it was shit in the US as well. So while I understand being upset, this wasn’t Biden’s fault, he did what he could. If you want to blame someone, blame Putin, since he got us in even deeper shit just as things were starting to go back to normal.
@@alti2b Couldve just not stayed locked down after the vaccine (or not locked down at all), not spent recklessly during the pandemic and not backed Ukraine/Israel with taxpayer money. Everyone who has taken basic econ knows more money chasing less goods is what causes inflation. But maybe thats just too crazy for politicians to consider. How will they ever know we feel this way? Better vote for incumbents.
9:53 to 10:07 hits the nail on the head. The tonedeafness of the Duopoly voter base telling the working class people to ignore their material reality because the Rich Person Magic 8-Ball shows a green Up arrow when their chosen party is incumbent only to then tell the truth that the books are cooked and the working class people are continually doing worse off year-over-year is as astounding as it is predictable.
so glad the guy who says he 'hates paying overtime', who appointed judges deciding corporate overlords can force you to work overtime with out overtime pay won another 4 years :D
Thanks for the analysis! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
The economy is doing great if you have a large portfolio reaping the benefits of a fantastic year for the S&P 500. It sucks if you're not rich enough to invest and instead have to go to the supermarket and deal with prices that are a lot higher than they were in 2020.

agree. another uk episode with at least minimal research would be definitely worth paying attention to.

There were no silver bullets against post covid inflation. Blaming incumbents for this is asinine.

I have a question, but I don't know how to get my carrier pigeon to take the message to you.

These people just take guesses at things..so out of touch with reality
