You certainly created a fun, creative and special environment for the girls. And I love the Sashiko! I am a new knitter and brand new sewer and have been sewing scraps of fabric into colorful random mosaics, sewing them together with the idea of making a project bag for my knitting and I am going to take a solid color fabric and sew the funky shaped mosaic to the fabric in the Sashiko style and then use that to make the project bag. Well, this was the first time for both to be here. After the first day, Helene said, "I want to do all the things tomorrow that we did today." That was so sweet. But of course, she didn't know all the other things we had planned.

That episode is a delight! You worked so hard to give your beautiful Grandaughters a great and memorable time with you! But the most joyful is the popcorn watching! Our Grandson loves popcorn so much that he climbed up to the top cupboard to reach the glass jar down all by himself (he was very proud of himself! Eek!!), I should add that he's almost 5but I think Mum almost had kittens, a good thing she didn't know until afterwards! Good luck with your post op appointment xx
That's a cute story about your grandson. Sometimes it's better to learn about their escapades later. My sons are still telling me things I didn't know they did when they were kids. I've told them it's enough now. Haha.
