I don't know what distinguishes David Duchovny from all the other actors. I only know that I couldn't idolize him more and that I want to be just like him.

I think in some ways David was very lucky. Obviously he was chosen for his looks.If producers or directors like you then your more likely to be short listed.its not what u act.its.very much how you act.the response reaction .

I the case of The X-Files he was not chosen for his looks. He was chosen for his intelligence, charisma and offbeat sense of humour. Chris Carter never chose anyone based on looks.
