I’m here 2 years after this comment thinking exactly this! I have been a fan since 97 and saw Bree sharp live at Lilith Fair in 99. Fans knew back then that he genuinely liked the song (and I agree it’s a legitimately good song with clever lyrics) but we would have absolutely lost our minds to think that one day she’d play it for him live, and that he would spend the entire time fidgeting and trying play it cool like we all do at our birthday party when the entire room stops and stares at us while singing to us, about us.
