Happy New Year and wishing you and your family many blessings! I live in Florida, United States but my grandparents were Italian. I learned to make the lentils the same as your recipe except we add some bay leaves and thyme spices and use canned diced tomatoes instead of the purée because we like the chunks of tomatoes. We always eat lentils on New Years too. ❤
