    We stayed in Springdale in mid-March 2023 and the shuttles had just started up-no reservations needed. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and it was fantastic and a bargain-free parking and breakfast. Also enjoyed MeMe’s cafe after a day of hiking and it was as fantastic. I really struggled with the hikes due to my fear of heights, but I persevered!

    Great video. Brings back memories of our Zion trip in 1976. We came in the east entrance and down the switchbacks towing our fifth wheel(an experience 😁). No shuttles back then and not too crowded. We went tubing on the Virgin River and rode horses up the canyon trail. That was a little scary as we were very near the edge and occasionally rocks would tumble down under the horses hooves. Really a fun experience though.
    So glad you are doing itineraries and planning for future audios. Looking forward to buying your Yellowstone itinerary and audio when available. 😋

    Thanks for uploading this and including time stamps! I’ll be staying there in the first week of April and saw that several trails are closed. Since we’re staying at the lodge do you have any tips for getting around? I asked the employees and they said we don’t necessarily need a shuttle pass other than to get to the narrows. Lastly, I plan on proposing to my girlfriend. Do you have any recommendation on which trail would work the best for a proposal?

    Buy your groceries in Hurricane or La Verkin. The market in La Verkin right where you turn for Zion is decent. They have a variety of foods that tourists can eat. Davis Market. They have decent produce, and they have things like hummus and other foods that are good for travelers.
    If you are a tourist, you can see what locals look like and also get some supplies. Groceries in Springdale are very expensive. Everything in Springdale is very expensive.
    It is nice to see you all again. We love our nice respectful visitors.

      I want to tell you. Please be respectful. These are nice people but they don't know shit. I mean they don't know shit. They are the samething only worse. What do they do when they are not here? We are sorry that we can't live up to expectations. I would not talk with these people.
      These people expect us to serve them tasty foods and show them the local places. They are the assholes.
      I will not serve them. I will never tell them.

    Good morning. Thank you very much for your videos, these are very informative. We will travel to Zion in 2 weeks, we are nervous. We have: 2 hiking poles for each of us, diving socks that we will use together with our water shoes. Do you think we're okay with that? Or do you think it is better to rent the equipment there? We will wait for your answers. Thank you so much for everything.

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 роки тому

      If you have your own gear, you’ll be fine. Keep in mind the aluminum poles might not be as sturdy as the thick wooden poles they rent to you. That’s the only thing I can think of right now.

    Your videos are so helpful, thank you! I’ve watched all you Zion videos preparing for my trip in May. Have you been to a national park since the federal mask mandate? Do you mind me asking if rangers are enforcing masks on the trails? I sure hope not, but I’m worried about this. I understand while on buses/visitors centers, but while hiking sounds miserable.

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching all of our videos! I’ve been working on some audio guides, but I will post more Zion videos soon.
      On all three national parks visits last year, they did not enforce masks on the trails. People often just wore them only if there was a crowded area, such as the base of angels landing.

      Yes! There is one company: Canyon Trail Rides. They are the only one that can go into Bryce (and I think Zion). There are lots of companies, but they are the only ones who can go into the canyon. I did a ride at Bryce this year and I highly recommend it!!!

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 роки тому

    • @richardportman8912
      @richardportman8912 3 роки тому

      Dogs are allowed and welcome on the Parus trail. All dogs should be on a leash. The problem is not the dogs, it is their people.
      It is really difficult to balance what you want to see, and what we experience.
      I am pro-tourist. I like you.
      Please come visit. I lost my shit today by yelling at some visitors. Because they were so rude.
      The e-bikes are the best way to go. We hate them because you people go too fast on them. If you weren't such assholes, we think they are a good thing.
      Also do beware of the squirrels.
