Hey Mark, after completing my second O365 to O365 migration, I'm just about to start a Google Workspace to O365 migration. As ever, your videos are a big help. Greetings from the old country ;-)
Thanks for the video. It was very informative and I learned a lot. I would like to add the following queries 1. Migration and Mail Size Issue: We are planning to migrate and purchase the Business Premium plan, but we have some users whose email sizes in Google Workspace exceed 50GB, and in some cases, 100GB. Since the Office 365 Premium plan offers a 50GB mailbox limit, how should we handle the migration for these users? 2. Installation Modules and Requirements: Where can we find the commands to install the required modules? Is it possible to perform the migration without installing the module, or is the installation of the module a mandatory step?
Hi Al. I just updated the article to include those scripts that create the users and provision the OneDrives. Go down to the bottom of the article and you will see the update stamped as 30 Dec 2022. Thanks for commenting and Happy New Year. thecloudgeezer.com/migrate-google-mail-drive-to-microsoft-365-with-free-native-tools/
Hi All, I have a situation here, I am new to this migration and the org which I recently joined found that the Org is using Google Workspace and also on the other side has Entra portal and manually created the users accounts in Exchange portal, so when I checked all the details to initiate the process I found that the same user do exists in Google Workspace and In Microsoft Exchange portal also, that is where I need some help to know that how do I initiate the process to only migrate the email accounts (Mail box)/Calander only, since the users are same on both domains. I only need to transfer mailbox data.
Apologies for the late response, I am going through all the comments and helping where I can. Drop me a note to mark@thecloudgeezer.com and we can chat. I would like to understand a few more specifics so I can answer correctly.
Thank you for this video! Question: Is it necessary to create the azure accounts prior to the migration batch? Or does the migration batch create these accounts in the process? I don't see this step in other tutorials. Again thanks.
Hi. You do need to create all the accounts on the Microsoft 365. The identities need to me in place for the migration process to attach to and transfer the data. Mark.
Yes, without the MX records pointing to M365 it won't get into that state, however the domain is still active in M365 and you can continue onwards with the migration. As long as the domain is verified you will be able to apply the aliases to the user accounts and bring data over. Feel free to email me at mark@thecloudgeezer.com if you need to. Mark.
In a migration using native tools for GSuite to M365, no the source is not deleted by the migration tool. Good to know, as if you perform a cross tenant M365 to M365 migration with the native tools then it does delete the source account.

Thanks James for those comments. Yes, more than happy to assist people. I love what I do with migrations and Microsoft 365.

What Install Module commands are you thinking about? Drop me a note to mark@thecloudgeezer.com and I can help you out.
@@thecloudgeezer I figure it out. Thanks for ur reply.
How did you manage to get your domain healthy in office when you are still on Google? That is the part where i am stuck now.

Will the emails get deleted from Google workspace during the migration process or it will stay in both locations?
