Now I am in Indonesia and really grateful that I can watch and remember. We will never forget those who died for us and many Canadians are included in this rememberance.

So does AUSTRALIA - Too many Immigrants now and Schools, with Socialist Teachers, do not put much effort into teaching anything about our Military Heritage - We now have a Struggle to maintain ANZAC DAY now, due to support costs. As an Ex Army Man, I am totally fed up. Cheers

This is my highlight for Armistice Day weekend. In America, we honor Veteran's Day.... as an American, I am proud to give my heartfelt love to all who served. What a beautiful emotional concert, for me sir Tom Jones and Jake Issac’s contributions were amazing. Remember my father going to this service when I was a little girl he bought back some of the poppy petals I still have them now.
I watched it live just after me and Woody.EXE attended our festival of remembrance in Wales. The festival of remembrance was dedicated to Come and See’s Florya and myself after we beat Woody in a war recently and we both performed a well known scene from Come and See which really moved Florya emotionally as he remembers the 40 year old movie of his. Then the poppies fell onto Florya during the minute silence. The poppies created the movies title Come and See 40 which hit us all. I couldn’t explain how honoured Floyra felt standing there right in front of Woody.EXE and he even honoured Woody one point. The festival of remembrance was less traumatic this time
This was Come and See’s Flyora’s first time at the remembrance event in Wales and I loved how Woody.EXE dedicated the Festival of Remembrance to me and Flyora for our 7 month war service with Woody after Woody invaded. Wales is still very shaken from the war but the honour Flyora felt standing in front of Woody.EXE releasing the poppies during the 2 minute silence. He and i proudly saluted Woody.EXE at the end of the service and I cried for sure. I tried to keep myself normal but I couldn’t anymore. Flyora kissed me his love on live television and our fans were tweeting immediately afterwards saying what a cute gesture Flyora did. After we all departed the service off screen, Woody.EXE asked me if I was okay and I clearly wasn’t. A royal lip reader later discovered what I said, it was “I wished those who died in the war could come back”
Between this and the Cenotaph ceremony the following day, the British people really know how to remember and honor our soldiers past and present and those that have died in the line of duty.
Me, Come and See’s Flyora fought with Woody 6 months before this event, Flyora was very emotional about it and I didn’t blame him. Flyora releasing the poppy petals immediately saluted Woody.EXE during the silence bless him. Flyora and Woody.EXE are very close

It’s so vitally important that we pass on our tradition of Remembrance & Commemoration for our fallen military & civilian support personnel. “When you go home tell them of us and say for your tomorrow we gave our today”, Kohima Epitaph. As an ex service member of the WRAF such emotion watching this. We must never allow anyone or anything to take away all we fought for. If you are or have been a serving member or are a family member I truly dont think you can understand the strength and depth of the feeling of "family" the service give you. My God bless and support all service personal and their families.
Watching this Monday morning in South Australia, waiting for 11am service on the radio. I am moved to tears by the bravery and sacrifice of so many, the heart felt music, reminded of my Grandfather who was an Engineer in the British Army and was at Monte Cassino, and Africa. He didn't want to tell us grand kids of his war experience. I wish I knew more of his personal experience. I miss him. I will forever be grateful for the service and sacrifice of others❤🌹🌹🌹

Their memories meant none of my uncles would ever talk about the war at all, it was a closed subject though I know one uncle served in Italy and I think my father knew more than he ever shared - he was a part of the ''clean up'' group in Nth Africa in the late 1940s. But I was lucky, I only lost one family member [as far as I know] in both wars though many from WWI were classed medically unfit when it came to joining up again for WWII. I will never forget.
Each year this wonderful event moves me to tears and my heart is full of gratitude for all those who served. Remembering all my loved ones especially my Dad who finally crossed the bar this year aged102.Each year he would watch this magnificent programme and be up early the day after to attend the service at Stockport War Memorial xx
I watched you live after me and Woody.EXE attended our Festival of Remembrance earlier that day and it wasn’t as emotional as last year’s Remembrance because Woody.EXE paid tribute to me his Queen for getting through an illness that almost took my life aged 20. My photos from my hospital bed were finally publicly released and Woody.EXE cried like hell. He then released 21 poppies in my recovery honour and I was crying the whole way through. I’m so glad 2024 was a better year but my mental health hasn’t been so good since the trauma. The festival of remembrance never fails to emotionally move me to tears.
I ne er understood exactly my mother's tears during the march past the cenotaph ..but as I've got older I've realised her tears ...scince my mother's passing ..each year I've watched the festival of remembrance and watched the cenotaph parades.. I now fully understand the sentiment behind my mother's grief ...I've continued tradition and I've learnt along the years the significance of this a momentary occasion...I've followed and watched the remembrance service on the eve of remberence Sunday for many s year but set aside its the 80th year I find this eve of remembercence to be more poignant this year more than ever .
Look forward to this remembrance ceremony every year. My father was an American soldier shot during WW11 in eastern France…Alsace-Lorraine. He named his eldest daughter Lorraine. He recovered in an English hospital for a few months, and then still as a soldier went to assist the U.S. govt. in occupied Germany. The entire international experience encouraged his choice of joining the Foreign Service the following year as his lifelong profession. This ceremony means a lot to me.
So do I, Come and See’s Floyra was given the honour of releasing the poppies and 149 came down on Remembrance Saturday in honour of us fighting Woody recently and the civilians Florya had saved joined Woody.EXE and my family during the Festival of Remembrance 2024. Floyra could barely hold it together towards the end of the ceremony and I don’t blame him. An off screen moment between me and Florya was finally revealed weeks later by mid November and we’ll not forget that. Woody had a lot of nerve being there and the grief Floyra was feeling hit us all but he still continued on. We are the best royals out there
I am from Nagaland, the theatre of the Battle of Kohima. The war veterans of this battle, formed the Kohima Educational Trust, to educate and provide assistance to the children of the Nagas, who stood by them in this bloody battle. My late beloved mother only 10 years old when the war was fought in Kohima wrote in her recollection of the war she titled "A war that was not ours"... 'One thing that strikes me as I recall the war - the absolute loyalty of our people to the British administration which tended to make them adopt a hostile attitude towards the invading Japanese in a war that was not ours. Come to think of it, the Japanese were never our enemies. But I am eternally grateful that our people remained steadfast and were not turncoats when hard times was upon all'. This Remembrance Service was beautiful, a moving tribute to the fallen, the standing and all who sacrificed for peace in the world.
I haven't watched live TV for 25 yrs or more, but those moments at the end of this annual programme is one of only three things I miss. Thanks for posting Matty.
I’ve watched since November 2017 so 7 years I hardly missed it. In 2022, Woody.EXE (Toy Story) hosted his very first remembrance event in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1926 - 2022) and then 2023’s remembrance was dedicated to me for recovering from my illness and in 2024’s one, it was dedicated to me, Come and See (1985)’s Flyora as we had just returned home from Woodys war a day before 9/11’s anniversary

My Uncle David Den of Southern Rhodesia part of the SA Armoured Division was killed at Monte Casino. His grave is at Castiglione among the Commonworld crosses where Jan Smuts PM of SA has a beautiful inscription to those lost.

If it didn't cause the organizers (The Royal British Legion) or the late Queen any problems then it shouldn't cause anyone else any grief. I don't (PERSONALLY) like body art, but what people do with their own body is their own business.

My father survived WW2 but didn't last long after remembering him today.
My Mom was born in 1929. She was 10 when WW2 was declared a war. There were a lot of hardships. All money went to war efforts.

It is a very short ceremony considering how many military deaths over centuries have been lost…every effort is made to do the soldiers justice.

@@peggystillman2527 : If the poster looks back to the 1st appearance of the Military Wives Choir at the Festival of Remembrance she will see that their soloist was heavily tattooed up to her lower neck which wasn't covered by her long black dress. If it didn't cause the organizers (The Royal British Legion) or the late Queen any problems then it shouldn't cause anyone else any grief. I don't (PERSONALLY) like body art, but what people do with their own body is their own business.
Very poor lighting this year the lighting should be subdued. This is a solemn gathering. It was a bit like Blackpool Illuminations.
